Triple H/Mad TV rating, Rock video, Smackdown, UPW notes, more Submitted by William Martinez on Wednesday, December 19, 2001 at 6:15 PM EST
Last week's episode of Smackdown finished as the 88th highest rated program for that week and was, once again, the highest rated program on UPN. A total of 139 programs were ranked.
Apparently, the Lita/Undertaker spot from Raw was actually left in on TSN in some parts of Canada but edited out in others. As we have reported earlier, the replay broadcast across Canada aired the spot.

The UPW mailing list sent out the following:
Vader and Grandmaster Sexay out due to Injury
It’s an unfortunate fact that in our very tough business, injuries do occur. Brian “Grandmaster Sexay” Christopher came back from his recent tour of the UK battered and bruised, and as UPW notified the wrestling world last week, had to bow out of Wednesday’s Galaxy show. Late last night, we received word from Vader that he must go into emergency knee surgery early Wednesday morning in his hometown of Denver, Colorado. Very disappointing, as we’re sure UPW fans were looking forward to Vader’s first US appearance in years. We wish him luck in his surgery and a quick recovery.
Vader to Make it up
Feeling badly about missing this exciting UPW event, Vader has vowed to make up the date. He will appear on Thursday, February 21 for UPW at The Galaxy Concert Theatre.
UPW Makes Special Offer
Bottom line, UPW has had two big stars cancel out of Wednesday’s show at The Galaxy. UPW is a company that prides itself on being forthright with its fans and felt it imperative to make this notification right away. In the past, we “lost” Undertaker, but replaced him with Triple H and Mideon. RVD, Juventud, Nova and Roddy Piper all made their first appearances at UPW unannounced. At press time, the UPW office is working on bringing in a surprise for Wednesday. Although UPW is optimistic this will happen, it cannot be guaranteed and therefore, UPW would like to offer the following option to our fans:
1. Tickets may be refunded at point of purchase.
2. You may bring your unused ticket for admission to UPW February 21 at The Galaxy.
3. Attend Wednesday’s show, and in addition to seeing a GREAT UPW show, receive a FREE copy of UPW’s first-ever video release “Fresh Blood!”
