WWA announces US PPV, Laurer on Last Word recap, Foley on Letterman

  • The WWA have announced that they will be running a pay-per-view on February 24th from the MGM Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The show will mark the promotion's first-ever show in the United States and should include most of, if not all, the talent that was used on the Australian and United Kingdom tours.

  • Yesterday, we reported that there are no OVW meetings scheduled until next week. That is a mistake. There are no meetings scheduled until next month.

  • Rikishi did appear at last night's HWA show but for some reason, did not wrestle. The WWF's goal in sending him there was for him to work. No word on if it's related to the incident with Russ McCullough from the other night.

  • The Rock was #19 on E!'s list of the year's top personalities.

I saw all of Joanie Laurer on Last Word with Jim Rome. She talked about what kind of marketer Vince is....she said he is a businessman and she may not always like the way he conducts business, and she says she isn't bitter about leaving. She also gave her comments on Nate Newton, Dan Issel and other sports topics. Also, she stated that she made more money in the 2 Playboy shoots than in her 6 years cumulative in the WWF. That was pretty much it, the show didn't really focus on her or any of the other panel. The rest of the panel was Jay Mohr and the dude from the show "Hunter".

I was watching some Late Show clips on CBS.com and came across the bit were TV shows included Letterman's heart surgery.

Mick Foley is on this one, scroll down to "How The Media Covered Dave's Surgery":
