Ross against kissing McMahon's ass, Taylor released, Raw notes, more Submitted by William Martinez on Tuesday, November 27, 2001 at 6:15 PM EST
Jim Ross was strongly against kissing Vince McMahon's ass on Raw last night and was pretty vocal about it backstage. To make matters worse, he was in his home state of Oklahoma and his family was backstage as well. There is speculation going around that someone came up with the idea in hopes of embarrassing Ross.
The backstage reaction to the recent "ass kissing" segments has not been positive and most are hoping that it ends soon and doesn't become the focal point of the company's storylines.
The reason the Brooklyn Brawler wrestled against Perry Saturn at last night's Jakked/Metal tapings was because Crash, Saturn's original opponent, had an elbow injury that was too painful to work though.
Former amateur wrestling champion Danny Hodge was backstage at Raw last night.
Stephanie McMahon, Triple H and Shane McMahon all helped creatively with the show last night.
David Taylor has parted ways with the WWF. Taylor worked as a trainer in the WWF's developmental territories. The reason the two sides parted ways was because the WWF asked Taylor to move to Cincinnati to reduce the cost of flying him in and because his wife is an executive with Taco Bell, he refused the move.
The Raw and weekend ratings won't be available until tomorrow.
I just got back from RAW and watched the video tape of it also. I have to say...I was about three rows away from the stage on the floor, and DAMN...the pyros are loud and hot and bright as hell. I had forgotten how loud those bastards are. Not too much to note from RAW that didn't make air...
The only things I noticed that didn't make air were during the first segment when the former Alliance guys were talking about sticking together, it went to commercial before the skit was over. Regal went on to talk about how they should stay together even if they "need to urinate".
Also, the Rock, after his match, tossed one of his elbow pads into each of the sections of fans on the sides of the ramp as he left. I was like two people away from getting one...oh well.
After RAW went off the air, the only thing that really happened was Vince and Undertaker walked up the ramp together and did the arm in the air salute at the top of the stage.
I don't think it came off on TV as much as it did in the arena, but the crowd was very hot. Although, not as hot as they were in Tulsa the night before.
All in all, I had a good time and everything, but I did feel that the show itself could have been much better. After last week's RAW, I was thinking something huge would happen, like the return of Triple H. Oh, by the way, when they showed him on the TitanTron from the Thanksgiving Parade, the place went nuts.
