WWF House Show Results from Lakeland, Florida 11-24-01

    Overall it was a pretty good show. Very much like the last House Show,
    except for a couple different endings. HUGE pops for Edge and the Hardyz.
    Incredible heat of Christian and The Dudleyz.

    Results:

    I came in at the end of the 1st match, but i'm guessing that Jericho did the
    same sequence about being hurt and then bashing the Rock.

    The Hurricane beat Crash. Missed the ending due to problems finding my
    seats.

    Marcus Dillon beat Adam Windsor with a rollup after stopping a Bulldog/Acid
    Drop. Not sure if i got the names right because the crowd blocked my
    hearing of it properly.

    Raven beat Rico Constantino with the Evenflow/Raven Effect. Funny sequence
    with Rico holding Raven in an armbar for about a minute and not letting him
    reach the ropes. Impressive showing by Rico.

    Ron "H2O" Waterman beat the Brooklyn Brawler. Suprising amount of heat for
    Brawler for acting like a wuss against the huge Waterman. Ron wins with a
    powerslam.

    Shawn Stasiak beat Randy Orton with the Figure Four Leglock. Good
    psychology by working the knee after a bad landing of a leapfrog by Orton.
    Not sure if that was intentional, but they ran with it.

    The Dudley Boyz beat the Hardy Boyz the same way as last time, with Jeff
    accidentally hitting the Swanton on Matt. Huge reaction to this match.

    ***Intermission***

    Big Show beat DDP and Hugh Morrus after splashing Morrus on top of DDP, who
    missed on his attempt to hit Show. Squash, but funny.

    Gunn/Palumbo beat Richards and Dreamer with a Fameasser onto Dreamer while
    held in a powerslam by Palumbo. Average match, with much stalling at the
    beginning.

    In the main event, Edge beat Christian to retain the IC Title. Same ending
    as the last time with him making Christian spear the interfering Jericho and
    hitting the Edgeocution for the win. Afterwards, he puts Jericho in the
    Walls of Jericho and leaped out of it to spear Christian.

    Afterwards, Chris and Christian taunted the crowd and ask for all the
    names of all people who chanted "Christian Sucks," so Christian could kick
    their butts. They talk for a little while and then leave. At the end,
    someone threw a drink into the ring, prompting Jericho to say "Nice aim,
    Jackass. You missed us both." They then left, as I did, about a year
    later. Sigh. But, on the plus side, I got a pair of Christian Sunglasses.

    This was my first WWF event so I was pretty excited.

    Jericho came out on crutches. He started on his Rocky
    rant getting great heat from the crowd. Then
    mispronouncing Lakeland, calling it Lakeview.

    1st Match: Hurricane w/ Molly vs. Crash
    Crash mocked Hurricane alot. For the finish, Molly
    was on the apron, Crash comes over and plants a big
    lip lock on her(kissing cousins?) Hurricane knees
    Crash in the back. Hurricane wins via Eye of the
    Hurricane. I wanted to get a Hurricane chant going
    but no one was with me.

    2nd Match: Adam Windsor w/ Dory Funk Jr defeated
    someone with a superkick. Huge reaction for Dory Funk
    Jr.

    3rd Match: Raven vs. Rico Constantino. Boring match
    (3rd superkick used in 3 straight matches) Raven wins
    w/ Even Flow

    4th Match: Stasiak d. Randy Orton w/ a figure 4. Lots
    of You Suck chants for Stasiak.

    5th Match: Ron "H2O" Waterman defeated The Brooklyn
    Brawler. Brawler had Christian's old music. Waterman
    was impressive.

    ***Intermission***

    6th Match: Big Show vs. DDP and Hugh Morrus - DDP does
    his "I like me...etc...etc" Big Show comes out and
    totally kills Morrus. Morrus body slams(!) Show and
    falls into his corner where DDP tags himself in. DDP
    hit the Diamond Cutter on Show, but Show kicks out.
    Show pins both Morrus and DDP. After the match DDP
    and Morrus start to fight, then DDP hugs Morrus then
    blasts him with the Cutter.

    7th Match: Hardyz vs. Dudleyz WWF Tag Title Match -
    Same deal as the show in Daytona. Matt told Jeff not
    to wrestle, Jeff didn't listen. Tons of heat for the
    Dudleyz w/ "D-Von Sucks" and "BuhBuh Sucks" chants.
    D-Von got the pin after Jeff hit Matt w/ Swanton

    8th Match: Billy Gunn/Chuck Polumbo vs. Tommy
    Dreamer/Steven Richards - They play ass games for five
    minutes. Billy wants to show his, Teddy Long won't
    let him. Dreamer tries to show him, Long won't let
    him. Dreamer/Richards threaten to leave. Big loss
    there(sarcasm). Dreamer lands in Richards' crotch,
    then crawls into Gunn's. Gunn/Polumbo win with
    Famasser/Powerslam combo

    Main Event: Christian vs. Edge for I-C Title. Jericho
    was "Time keeper". Back and forth match. Ref bump.
    Y2J runs in hits Edge with crutch. Christian got a 2
    count. Y2J tries again, Edge catches it, Christian
    attempts a spear, Edge moved. Christian hit Y2J.
    Edge with the Buzzkiller for the win. Y2J and
    Christian double team Edge. Edge ducks a double
    clothesline and hits his own. Walls of Jericho on
    Jericho, spear for Christian. Christian/Y2J
    microphone antics include "kicking all your asses here
    tonight" Tons of Christian sucks chants and Rocky
    chants.
