20-Minute Promo - Wregenie's Big Return Submitted by Tommy Rock on Friday, November 23, 2001 at 5:53 PM EST
Hello "Promo" addicts and welcome to another edition of the "20-Minute Promo." I hope everyone had a great holiday and some well-spent time with family. I did and that's the reason for this edition being a little late, so I'll get that out right up front. Take a look at what's in store for this week:

And don't worry, this column won't run you over with a shopping cart like you were at Wal-Mart over the next couple days. So take some time out, relax, and read some "Promo."
Wrestling Report Card
Chris Jericho
Ring Work: Jericho is a solid ring worker that combines different styles of wrestling in his repertoire. He is capable and has shown many different moves throughout his career. His in-ring offense varies from technical wrestling to aerial assault. Jericho is capable of putting together a good match and is willing to put his body on the line in hardcore matches. However, his moves sometimes do not look crisp. He moves sometimes look sloppily done or executed. This results in his offense sometimes looking rushed or weak. Grade: B+
Mic Skills: Jericho is one of the best when it comes to the mic. He has the ability to get himself over as a face or a heel. His interviews/promos are hilarious in the way he pokes fun at the opposition or his bantering. Jericho is also quick-witted since many of his lines come directly off of what an opponent was just saying. Grade: A
Entertainment:A very entertaining wrestler to watch inside and outside the ring. Jericho is able to put on a solid match in the ring, which keeps the fans entertained. His interviews are also entertaining since they offer humor to the wrestling world. Jericho once shined entertainment-wise, especially in his verbal attack against Stephanie, but he has been given less mic time as of late. Grade: A-
Draw Power: Jericho's recent push has proven that he is capable of getting huge fan support. His WCW title run gave his character credibility as a main eventer. He has a huge fan base found in the arenas and on the Internet. A longer push as a heel will establish him as a top star. Grade: A-
Overall Grade: 3.67 (A-/A) Columnist's List

"I wonder if his ::column edit:: suffers from giant's syndrome too."
Ask Wregenie
BlueBagThrilla asks: "Who would win in a real fight: my hometown Mexican hero, Essa Rios, or the lame duck American hero, Kurt Angle? Wregenie: Essa Rios, and to add insult to injury, Rios will steal Angle's hubcaps after the match.
EstreetShuffle asks: What's Bobby Heenan up to? Wregenie: He spends his time like most former wrestling talents do: Sitting at home wondering how he got bent over and shafted by Vince McMahon.
DantetheTitan asks: Will Austin ever grow his hair back? Wregenie: I wouldn't bet on it. The man just doesn't look as tough when he has his Zack Morris hairdo.
CLandStunna asks: How many more times within the next year do you think Vince McMahon will turn on his kids to only join back up with them a few months later and then turn on them again...etc......? Wregenie: The number is limitless. But can you imagine what the writers must go through for WWF? Vince: I got a great idea! How about I turn and join my children! Writer: You have done that before Vince: Then how about I join my children, and to add a twist, try to divorce my wife. Writer ::drops head:: I give up.
Neil asks: I heard Mic Foley was fired, is that really true? If it is why would he be fired? Wregenie: I have the latest scoop on the Foley firing and you can only read it here. Apparently, a huge fallout occurred between Foley and McMahon stemming from a room service bill. A server at a hotel where the WWF was staying told me that Foley ran up a huge amount on the McMahon tab, infuriating the wrestling mogul in the process. The server stated Foley order 50 lbs. of Venison Sausage and 2 quarts of orange juice. He later described Foley as sitting in front of the TV in a manic state, cutting the sausage with a knife and eating it. Vince got pissed off because of the large tab and grossed out at the sight of 50 lbs. of deer sausage and cut Foley loose. We wish him all the best at his new job at another promotion, Bob Evans' farm.
Neil asks: What are your true feelings about Mr. Tito? Wregenie: To be honest, Germaine was always my favorite Jackson. He never did get the credit like the others did.
Neil asks: Who is the hottest diva in the WWF? Wregenie: Terri. She's good looking and could probably turn a trick or two.
Neil asks: How is a new woman's champ going to be crowned if Chyna is the champion? Wregenie: The WWF has decided against mentioning Chyna's relation to the Woman's Championship. However, the WWF intends to use the "only women can win the Woman's Championship" rule if the situation ever arises.

It looks like Survivor Series wasn't too predictable as I came out with my worst predicting record, 2-4. Don't laugh kiddies, you didn't do too much better. But there were a few lucky ones that deserve mentioning so here they are:
Mike Anderson Neil ClandStunna Craig D'Cruze KidNick
Congratulations! To everyone else: better luck next time. Be sure to come back next month when the Columnist gets Vengeance for his PPV losses.
BattleCage

Champion: Bret Hart- 4 Consecutive Wins Vs. Challenger: HHH
Two of the biggest stars to ever grace the industry collide and something's got to give. Will Hart be able to go off in BattleCage glory or will the BattleCage be playing a new game. Get your votes in to crown the BattleCage Champion.
