Awesome injury update, Hogan/XWF, Women's match, more

Mike Awesome apparently feels that he can work through the torn ACL injury he suffered in a houseshow match against the Big Show last weekend. Awesome has been working out for the past week, and he has the belief that he's able to do so. He has a doctor's appointment on Monday, and if he can get clearance, he might come back in a few weeks.

Hulk Hogan wasn't paid for his appearance and match against Curt Hennig at the recent XWF tapings; he was working for free! Hogan only wrestled on one show after being dressed for promotional work for a video game (Wrestling Legends, or whatever by Acclaim, I think). It's still being said that Hogan won't be with the company full time, but that his recent work for the XWF was to help out some old friends, especially when it was for free.

The mystery woman representing the Alliance in the Women's match will most likely be former ECW valet and wrestler Jazz. The WWF signed her to a developmental deal a while back, and she's been progressing in Ohio Valley Wrestling ever since. William Regal used Jazz to go up against Lita in a match at a houseshow recently, and Jazz has been expected to be showing up on WWF television any day now.

Nothing new on the Ric Flair situation, like if he has accepted a Time Warner/AOL buyout to join the WWF or if the Nature Boy will show up on RAW, this Monday, in Charlotte.

Any truth to the Jerry Lawler or Ric Flair rumors should be answered on Monday, if either one happens to show up. The answer with Lawler could be for the fact that he wouldn't have worked or performed any angles if he had no deal or contract to work under.
