Hello, and welcome to this week's WWF Classics report, featuring exciting action from the archives of the WWF video library. The show goes by the name of Wrestling Challenge, so let's begin.

This week's show is coming from the Louisville Gardens, in Louisville, Kentucky, the home of Mohammed Ali. Gorilla Monsoon welcomes us to the show, and as the crowd breaks into a chant of "weasel", Bobby Heenan is escorted to his broadcasting position by two delightful young ladies. He has his neckbrace on still, in what could be the world's slowest recovery of all time. The entrance video hits, and we're underway...

On today's show we have a super line-up, as we have Jake "The Snake" Roberts, The Honky Tonk Man, Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake and Demolition all in action. There will also be a special report on Ken Patera.

Match #1
Jake "The Snake" Roberts vs. Tony Leone
Jake comes out with his pet snake Damien in his bag. I'd imagine that Jake won't get hammered in this one, but you never can tell. They lock up, and Leone backs Jake into the corner. Jake clotheslines Leone right down though, and delivers some knees to the abdomen. The crowd chants "DDT", as Heenan announces that a man named "Bam Bam Bigelow" will join his stable on today's show. Roberts bodyslams Leone down to the mat, pulls him up, hits the DDT, and gets the easy pinfall victory. Jake unleashes the snake after the match, prods Leone a little, and then wraps the snake all around his opponent. Leone runs for his life, as the snake slithers all over the place.

Greg DeGeorge is in the studio for a special report on the Million Dollar Man, Ted DiBiase. Footage is shown of DiBiase in his car, saying that everybody has a price. He's waving his dollar bills around stating that he is the most gifted athlete of all time, but also the hungriest. He orders Virgil to pull over at a restaurant, and he jumps to the front of the queue, only to be told that he has to wait in line for thirty minutes. Virgil starts slipping the guy money, and is told it's now a twenty minute wait. DiBiase is persistent though, and finally gets a table immediately. Uh-oh; a guy in the line is quite upset at DiBiase's actions. "Can't you wait in line like everyone else"? the guy blurts out, and so Virgil stares him out. The theme is, everyone has a price for the Million Dollar Man. (It's also interesting to note that although there are many people in line, the majority of the tables in the restaurant are vacant...)

Match #2
The Honky Tonk Man (w/ Jimmy Hart) vs. Jim Powers
Honky Tonk, the reigning Intercontinental Champion makes his way to ringside, and prepares to take on Jim Powers in a non-title contest. He boogies along with his theme, before undressing, ready to compete. They lock up, and Honky is on the receiving end of a high cross body by Powers, who gets a quick two count. Honky reverses Powers into the corner, and then stomps away. Pre-recorded comments from Jimmy Hart state that it is he who has acquired the services of Bam Bam Bigelow. Some confusion amidst the ranks then, as it is Heenan who believes he has him. Back in the ring Honky delivers his finishing device, the 'shake, rattle 'n' roll', followed by a pinfall. After the match Honky tells the crowd that he will defend his title for the fans, before dancing once again.

Mean Gene Okerlund is backstage wearing dark glasses for no apparent reason, and the Killer Bees are introduced. They are red-hot right now, and they've been having fun all throughout this independence weekend. They want the Hart Foundation once again, but this time they want to beat them for the tag team championships. Buzz off, losers.

Greg DeGeorge and Danny Davis are backstage, after hearing the news that Mr. T is the new enforcer here in the WWF. Davis is understandably angry, and says that Mr. T should beware. Surely he can't be afraid of a man named "T" can he?!

Match #3
Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake vs. Frank Develto
Brutus comes to ringside with a mirror under his hand, as Heenan notes that recently he has become obsessed with cutting people's hair. They lock up and Barber outmuscles his opponent into the corner immediately, followed by a bodyslam. He delivers a kneelift to the face, and follows up with an elbow to the same area. He crunches his head between his legs, before signifying that he is about to apply the sleeper. He does indeed do that, and Develto is put fast to sleep. His arm drops three times, and you can chalk up another win for Brutus. After the bell rings, Barber gets his hairdressing utensils and drags Develto over to the corner, before chopping away on his adversary. He then grabs some hair dye, and sprays his hair completely red - the swine! Brutus then wakes Develto up, and he is horrified upon seeing his facelift in the mirror.

Mean Gene Okerlund is backstage yet again, and introduces Macho Man Randy Savage, saying that he has been in a state of limbo ever since Wrestlemania III. Okerlund says that he misses Elizabeth, and announces that Hogan vs. Savage for the WWF Title has been signed. Savage makes a super guarantee, saying that he will indeed win the belt. Okerlund is shocked at Savage's arrogant attitude.

Greg DeGeorge is backstage with Butch Reed and Slick, as DeGeorge notes that Superstar Billy Graham has been working out vigorously, as we see clips of him in the gym, getting himself back into the shape he was once in. He wouldn't last six minutes on Tough Enough. Reed isn't impressed at all, and i think he speaks for everyone.

Match #4
Demolition (w/ Mr. Fuji) vs. Special Delivery Jones & Paul Roma
Smash begins with Jones, and begins destroying him, but makes the mistake of lowering his head. Jones makes the tag, but is basically destroyed by Smash. Axe tags in, as we go to pre-recorded comments from Mr. Fuji, who also claims to have signed Bam Bam Bigelow - the confusion! Jones has tagged back in, but is being destroyed by both members of Demolition. Roma is slingshot into the top rope by Smash, and they then execute their finishing device, in which Smash delivers the backbreaker, whilst Axe gives the elbow from the second rope. Easy enough for Demolition.

Greg DeGeorge is standing by with The British Bulldogs, who claim that Matilda has brought them good luck. DeGeorge fails to believe them however, so they attempt to prove him wrong, by constantly listening to what the dog has to say. Dynamic.

Match #5 (from Superstars)
Ken Patera vs. Frankie Laine
Just as the bell sounds, Bobby Heenan and Harley Race appear by the entranceway, watching on at the match. The former olympian delivers several hiptosses to Laine, causing him to take time out. The entire Heenan clan then arrive (including King Kong Bundy, Hercules and Paul Orndorff), as Patera delivers a backbreaker into a bodyslam. Patera then locks in the bearhug, forcing Laine to submit. After the match all five members of the Heenan family surround the ring, and eventually climb in the ring to absolutely destroy Patera. Heenan takes his belt off from around his waist, and they each take turns in whipping the back of Ken Patera. Rather brutal i must say, and the beating only came to an end because the referee's interfered to break it up. The crowd were chanting for the presence of Hulk Hogan during the beating, but i think he only turns up at pay-per-views.

Match #6
Killer Khan (w/ Mr. Fuji) vs. Mike Richards
Khan does his sumo ritual before the bout starts, before kicking away on Richards. He rakes the face and tries to rearrange Richards facial expressions, and then executes a double karate chop. He continues to stomp away like an animal, before delivering a thrust kick to Richards. He then stands him up and spews green liquid into the face of Richards, which Heenan thought was "mystical mist". He then delivers a huge piledriver, as Richards has green slime all over his face. Khan goes to the top rope and drives the knee to the face of Richards, scoring the victory.
Winner - Killer Khan via pinfall, at 03:24

Mean Gene Okerlund wishes everyone a safe 4th of July weekend, before introducing Tito Santana. He is currently at the top of his game, and wants to challenge the Honky Tonk Man for the Intercontinental Title somewhere down the line. He can't wait. I can.
