Thanks to John for sending this report in!

Just got back from Raw in KC and I wanted to give you guys some notes from the show. I'll be working off memory so I'll try to do my best. Got into Kemper Arena pretty easily. There was extra security but they didn't pat people down like at previous WWF events which I found strange. The place was pretty full, but far from a sellout. There was one top section almost completely empty. Dark matches were what you expect. Brock Lesner is absolutely a monster. I think the guy can be a huge star if the WWF slowly brings him along slowly. The crowd was totally into the show from the beginning. They popped for almost everyone especially The Fink when he came down to ringside. They even popped for Billy Gunn! KC crowds just don't get it...Billy Gunn is stiff and boring! Come on people. I had to pop for Tommy Dreamer when he came out for the Metal/Jakked tapings. I was pretty much the only one. They just don't get what the guy has put himself through over the years for our entertainment. Hardy Boyz got a decent pop, but they came out without Lita and the crowd was chanting for her during their match. Poor guys. Lillian Garcia sings the national anthem. She got a HUGE pop from all the guys everytime she got into the ring during the commercial breaks. I gotta tell ya, she's cute on TV, but in person she is a total knockout!

Raw starts off with Vince and Linda coming down to ringside with a decent pop. Shane and Steph got a decent amount of heat when they came out. For those that haven't seen the WWF live, I can't explain how huge Stephanie's chest is. I mean, they're big on TV, but in person...they're massive! They announce that Steve Austin isn't going to be here tonight. WHAT?! Mr. Tito's finger of shame for that. I hope he isn't injured from last night's PPV, but they could have had him involved in some kind of capacity.

The show was alot of fun. The crowd was hot, and the matches were exciting. I don't know what they were trying to do but, kudos to the WWF for clean pins. This really kept the matches entertaining. And WOW, four title changes in one night! The crowd went absolutely crazy when Angle and The Rock and Y2J won their matches. They also exploded when Kane chokeslammed DDP. I don't know about anyone else, but I think DDP's new gimmick is hilarious. Tajiri got a good pop with his win, Torrie was simply gorgeous. My tongue is still on the ground.

During the commercial break for the Tag Team Championship match, the Dudleyz got on the mike and put the crowd down a little bit to give themselves a little extra heat (Stacy looked awesome, by the way. Her Dudley attire is quite striking).

The show ended the same way it did on TV with the McMahon's kissing on the Titan Tron. The Rock didn't come back out to sing or anything, which was quite disappointing.

    Biggest Pops:
    1) The Rock
    2) Y2J
    3) Kurt Angle
    4) Undertaker (the guy may be old and doesn't sell a thing, but he is still bigtime over)
    5) Kane chokeslamming DDP
    6) Lita/Trish

Honorable Mention: Lillian Garcia everytime she walked into the ring (The KC crowd loved her)

    Biggest Heat:
    1) Shane/Steph
    2) DDP putting down our pathetic Chiefs
    3) Dudley Boyz
    4) Booker T (except for me, gotta pop for The Book)
    5) Test
    6) Charles Robinson (the crowd totally berated him everytime he walked down to the ring)

Also, one last wrestling related item. Driving through downtown KC on the way to the event, we noticed a billboard for a local juicebar called Bazooka's. They were advertising, WCW's Gorgeous George October 24th through the 27th. This answer's the question if she was stripping after ECW folded. This also brings up the question if they're able to advertise her as WCW's Gorgeous George, because wasn't ECW only aloud to call her George? Anyway, just thought I'd pass that tidbit along. Maybe I'll attend one of the nights as an internet journalist and pass along some...ahem...notes.

Thanks to TrvrTaylor for sending this report in!

KC crowd hot all night. 2 BIG notes Brock Lesnar is HUGE and So are Steph's TITS. No Joke, In all seriousness, they are probably as Big as the Big Show's head. I don't know how serious I can be about that. Lesnar has potential too. Crowd pretty jacked for Jakked.

    Biggest Pops
    1. Jericho
    2. Rock-close second (more Rocky sucks chants than Jericho sucks)
    3. Underseller (sad but true-KC loves taker, hate him personally)
    4. Angle, great person, wrestler
    5. Hardy's for Jakked match. Jeff is an unbelievable wrestler/seller.

    Heat
    1. Shane and Steph
    2. Dudley's
    3. Booker and Test, lots of pops though, I guess the educated people realize good wrestling.
    4. Guy getting booted before main event for fighting, Huge Na Na Na Na chant. (I guess that's a pop???
    5. Hugh Morris/Justin Credible, JC had huge heat for the last ECW event that rolled through here about a year ago.

All in all, after Vince intro, you kind of knew that the belts were going to change hands, except for RVD. What was the point of Rhyno even winning the US Title? Does this set up a complete Alliance sweep and a Vince turn at SS?

Thanks to Franchise_MBW for sending this report in!

I just got back from AWF Alaska Superslam 2001 in the Sullivan arena in Anchorage, Alaska and it was one hell of a show. Heres the results off the top of my head.

Match 1: Super Dragon and ???? vs. Disco Machine and Excalibur
Disco and Excalibur got the big heel heat to open the show but the match was just sloppy. Nothing really big with Super Dragon winning the match with a rollup or something. I have no idea who his partner was.
Winners: Super Dragon and Mystery Masked Guy

    Grandmaster Sexay Interview:
Grandmaster Sexay comes out to a HUGE face pop and does his whole dance gimmick thing. He gets on the microphone and talks up anchorage and how much he loves alaska and does his best to earn some cheap pops. Some familiar music hits and The Sinister Minister comes out to some boos. I don't think most people knew who he was. Sinister gets on the mic and does his best to talk up Grandmaster and the crowd starts to get behind him when he turns on the crowd and starts ripping into alaska, to easily the loudest heat of the night. Sinister tells him he's the manager of champions and that he needs to give up on the stupid alaska fans and come with him, but most importantly stop dancing. Grandmaster says he'll never stop dancing and tells Sinister to shove his little gothic cane straight up his ass. Sinister says something about Grandmaster's mother and Grandmaster goes ballistic and the security guys come in to break it up. Out of nowhere one of the security guys starts to beat down on Sexay and he takes off his coat to reveal the Fallen Angel Chris Daniels. He hits some really innovative looking move and Sexay is laid out. Sexay gets up and says he's going to wrestle Fallen Angel later in the night.

Match 3: Special Midget Match (With special guest referee Dawn Marie):
Announcer tells us that the 2 midgets will be dressed as there favorite wrestlers. One midget is spike dudley, one is kane. Snoozefest of the century on this match, with little kane trying to get ahold of little little spike, while little little spike tortures Dawn Marie with every type of sexual harrassment you can think of. Little little spike finally gets the win with some move, damned if I know what it was though, I was at the snack stand.
    Winner: Little Little Spike Dudley
Loser : Anyone who actually sat through the whole match.

Match 4: Balls Mahoney vs. C.W. Anderson vs. Rick Fuller:
C.W. comes out and talks about how hes done with hardcore shit, so noone better use any tables or chairs or anything. Balls and Fuller come out and stalk him in the ring and he gets on the mic and says he's not gonna wrestle, he's just gonna watch. Balls and Fuller start going at it and C.W. tries a sneak attack, but Balls and Fuller see it coming and double team him. After about 3 minutes Fuller is eliminated by C.W. with the weakest garbage can shot I've ever seen (thats what a WCW Saturday Night career will do for you). Balls gets on the mic and says the match is far from over, and grabs C.W. and tosses him into the crowd. Balls does his ol' beat him down with the fans drink thing, and I get sprayed with coca cola! (one of the nights many highlights). The 2 combatants take a 10 minute scenic tour of the Sullivan Arena, and Balls brings C.W. back to the ring. C.W. gets the advantage and brings in a table, and sets it up in the corner. He back body drops Balls on it for a long 2 count. Balls gains back the advantage and wins with a nutcracker suite on the chair.

Match 5: The Backseat Boyz vs. Evolution (AWF Tag Team Champions):
The backseat boyz come out to a backstreat boys song wich enrages the throngs of drunken alaskan wrestling fans. As if there boy band theme music didn't get them enough heat, there pink shirt wearing announcer gets on the mic and blasts alaska for a while when Nova and some other guy, who's name I didn't catch, run out and commence a beat down. Classic tag match here complete with bone crushing double team moves and hot tags galore. I didn't catch Nova's partners name but I really wish I did because he really impressed me. The backseat boyz got the cheap win with the feet on the ropes.
Winners and new AWF Champions: The Backseat Boyz

    INTERMISSION

Match 6: Jade vs. Becky The Farmers Daughter:
Another classic Snoozefest, with missed spots and hair pulling being the focus of this epic matchup. Becky the Farmers Daughter got the big win after a top rope splash, and the crowd went wild mainly because the match was over.
    Winner: Becky The Farmers Daughter

Match 7: Simon Dimond vs. Roadkill:
Simon Dimond comes out and does his "Simon has a problem" routine. After drawing a significant amount of heel heat, Roadkill comes out to a mixed reaction (I'm guessing noone knew who he was). One of the best matches of the night, with some really good spots and stiff moves. Referee Jim Mollineau was knocked out and Dawn Marie came out and did a fast count for a simon dimond rollup, but Roadkill got revenge after the fact by way of a stinkface for Dawn Marie. Crowd loved it.
    Winner: Simon Dimond

Match 8: Grandmaster Sexay vs. Fallen Angel Chris Daniels /w Sinister Minister:
Daniels came out to HUGE heel heat and sinister minister got on the mic again and started to work up the crowd. Grandmaster Sexay came out to a HUGE face pop and went to work on the Fallen Angel. Damn impressive match with some high impact moves, and lots of high flying action. Grandmaster finally got the win with the Hip Hop Drop, and after the match brought some kids from the crowd into the ring to dance with him.
    Winner: Grandmaster Sexay

Match 9: Julio Dinero and Chris Hamrick vs. Road Warrior Animal and Hacksaw Jim Duggan:
Typical tag match, with Jim Duggan wrestling his absolute worst, yet noone cares because he's Hacksaw Jim Duggan. Thunderous USA chants and OOOOOOOHHHH's galore, with Road Warrior/Hacksaw getting the win by way of an Animal powerbomb on Julio Dinero.
    Winners: Animal and Hacksaw

    Parting Notes:

My second live show, and a much better show then the WWF house show I saw last year. As you can see mostly ECW alumni wrestling here in AWF, which makes me happy since I am a longtime ECW fan. I got autographs from every wrestler at the show minus Hot Commodity and Grandmaster Sexay (who was easily the most over wrestler at the show). Some interesting notes, I talked to Nova at great length and he told me he was supposed to be landing in WCW once they relaunch. Sinister Minister and Simond Dimond had some interesting, unkind things to say about Paul Heyman as well, mentioning that he owed 200,000 dollars to Sinister Minister. I didn't catch how much he owed Simon, he was too busy talking up the new york yankee's. Balls Mahoney said he was gonna cruise the indies for a while, maybe do some stuff in mexico or japan, but he had no plans to try to make the big time. All in all a great show.

    Grades:

Biggest Heat: Sinister Minister talking shit about anchorage.

Biggest Pop: Any Grandmaster Sexay entrance.

Best Match: Tie between Simon Dimond/Roadkill and Grandmaster Sexay/Christopher Daniels

Worst match: Tie between the midget match and Becky the Farmers Daughter/Jade

    Coolest Personality: Nova

Funnist Personality: Simon Dimond and Sinister Minister trash talking at the autograph stand.
