  • Reportedly, there are some internal problems with the WWF's booking committee. A source is stating that it is Vince McMahon's booking direction which have caused the company's recent problems. McMahon is being accused of having lost touch with what viewers want to see. Some of the writer also believe that McMahon is overly concerned with Steve Austin's storylines, and not concerned enough with the WWF's other storylines.

  • There was a lot of debate among the WWF writing team over whether or not to add Rob Van Dam to the No Mercy main event. Among the people not in support of adding Van Dam was, surprisingly, Paul Heyman. Heyman felt that the WWF should have waited a few months before putting Van Dam into a pay-per-view main event.

  • The decision to have The Rock against Chris Jericho at the show was not decided until the October 9th Smackdown. Some of the writers were actually in favor of turning The Rock heel.

  • Most WWF officials feel that Kevin Nash will sign a contract with the company in early 2002, as his AOL Time Warner contract expires.

  • Despite the belief of some WWF officials, friends of Scott Hall believe that he still has some issues to work out.

  • More than one WWF official is against bringing in Hall and Nash but due to powerful forces like Vince McMahon and Triple H in favor of bringing them in, most of them concede.

  • If Hall and Nash are hired by the WWF, look for them to be aligned with Shane McMahon, who has been reportedly full of himself since receiving regular matches on television. He wants to play the part of a cool heel and that is where Hall and Nash fit in.

  • WWF management have not been pleased with the momentum Edge has received since breaking away from Christian and several wrestlers believe it is because he never learned how to deliver non-comedic promos. Brian Gewertz is the person taking the blame for this. Gewertz was responsible for Edge and Christian's promos, part of The Rock's promos and the creating of the Perry Saturn, The Hurricane and Molly Holly characters.

  • The Wrestlemania main event remains Steve Austin vs. Triple H at this time because most WWF writers aren't even thinking about Wrestlemania yet.

  • The Undertaker has been taking his recent demotion well, but that's because he doesn't realize he has been demoted. In a related note, The Undertaker has been keeping a lower profile in the locker room lately, bascially just playing games with friends.

  • Talk of reforming The Impact Players (Justin Credible and Lance Storm) has resurfaced again.

  • Mick Foley recently turned down an offer made the WWF to work an in-ring feud with William Regal.

  • Debra telling Torrie Wilson not to spend so much time with Steve Austin was based on petty jealousy more than anything.

  • Stacy Keibler has been aligned with the Dudley Boyz so that they could work matches with The Hardy Boyz and Lita.

  • Epherdryne is the popular drug being used by wrestlers these days, which is an over the counter version of speed.

  • Despite what was reported earlier, Kanyon has not been on television much because the writers do not have an idea for him. He doesn't have any backstage heat.

  • Kurt Angle has requested to work a long term program with Rob Van Dam.

  • Paul Heyman, not Rob Van Dam, was behind Kid Kash's recent WWF tryout match. Despite being impressed, there are no plans to sign him.

  • The WWF's Oct. 6 event in Bethlehem drew 4,527 paid for a gate of $125,220.

  • The WWF's Oct. 6 event in Winnipeg drew 5,969 paid for a gate of $263,548.

  • The WWF's Oct. 7 event in St. Paul drew 4,211 paid for a gate of $149,960.

  • The WWF's Oct. 7 event in Valparaiso drew 3,742 paid for a gate of $102,660.

  • The WWF's Oct. 8 Raw in Indianapolis drew 9,204 paid for a gate of $290,668.

  • The WWF's Oct. 13 event in Atlantic City drew 6,128 paid for a gate of $203,890.

  • The WWF's Oct. 13 event in Saginaw drew 5,430 paid for a gate of $114,075.

  • The WWF's Oct. 14 event in Toledo drew 3,968 paid for a gate of $89, 021.

  • Reportedly, several fans who attempted to watch No Mercy through WWF.com webcast had problems trying to do so. It appears that all they got was a test screen that said WWF Stamford with a long beeping sound.
