Bret Hart arrives for WWA tour, No Mercy notes, Goldberg in MMA? more Submitted by William Martinez on Saturday, October 20, 2001 at 12:07 PM EST
Bret Hart, who had originally been booked to be the commissioner for the WWA's Australian tour, has finally arrived in Australia and is expected to be a part of the remaining shows. Hart missed the show in Perth due to his mother's illness.
Several establishments which purchased the yearly package from DirecTV to air all the 2001 WWF pay-per-views will be able to show tomorrow's No Mercy show, reportedly on channel 592. For those wondering, the yearly package offered to these bars and restaurants is different, and more expensive, than the one offered to home users.
PRIDE Director of Publicity and Public Relations Jackie Kallen has stated that she has invited The Rock to attend the November 3rd PRIDE event in Japan. Despite the fact that the WWF has a restrictive contract for The Rock, she would like to have him as an announcer or spectator for the event as a way to help cross the company over to the American market. However, the WWF has a pay-per-view in the United Kingdom on the same date as the event so the appearance, in all likelyhood, will not happen.
Some of you may know that there are heavy rumors stating that Bill Goldberg has been heavily training and losing weight in order to compete in Mixed Martial Arts. Reportedly, Goldberg has gotten himself down to 260 pounds but refused to confirm the rumors.

Yesterday, we reported that the WWF was selling a webcast of the pay-per-view on WWFNoMercy.com for $14.95. Apparently, three thousand connections will be available.
