    > Forces of the Air - The skies are clogged with more high-flying superstars than ever before.

    > Summer of Slam - Exclusive photos are coverage from the spectacular Summerslam.

    > Splendid - Who laughing now? Certainly not the ultra-serious Lance Storm.

  • Here are some news and rumors for the Informer section of the November 2001 WWF Magazine:

    > Booker T may be close to getting a movie deal which isn't pleasing several Alliance wrestlers.

    > Chuck Palumbo and Sean O'Haire may soon be "singing a new tune".

    > A "mysterious" luchador may soon show up in the WWF to help Essa Rios win a championship.

    Recap by Randy Reed

Guests: Daffney, ISW's Macho Sasquatcho, and former WCW star Jamie Noble

    [Tom Zenk joins the show]

-Tom Zenk calls up on the show right during the trivia of the week question, which was "What name did Jamie Noble use before he joined the "Yung Dragons?"

-Shannon breaks, and comes back and reads out the "Rose Report" which included news on Helen Hart's condition, news on Josh from Tough Enough, and news on Hulk Hogan wanting to have a last run in the WWF.

    [Daffney joins the show]

-Daffney talked about when she won the cruiserweight title. She mentioned that it was the highest point of her career, but came at a bad time due to her having her tonsils removed. She mentioned that it was hard for her to do her character very well on television. When asked about how she felt under the leadership of Eric Bischoff and later on Vince Russo, Daffney says that she had no problem with how the company was ran. She said that though there was a lot of negativity backstage towards the end of the company's run, it didn't have any affect on her.

-Tom Zenk had some pretty negative things to say about David Flair. Tom tells Daffney that David Flair can't do anything without her, and she laughs. Shannon informs Tom that David had a developmental deal with the WWF. Tom replies by saying that David wasn't good enough to get on Vince's television shows, but he was for WCW. It seems that Tom thinks that David Flair was basically handed his spot in WCW.

-Shannon asked Daffney if she was going to try to go to the WWF. She said that she really would like to go to the company, but doesn't feel that the company is interested in her character right now. For the time being, she said that she was going to stay training, and getting better.

-Before leaving the show, Daffney gives her web address to the fans (www.scream-queen.com) and screams as well.

-Tom tells a story about Greg Valentine. Tom didn't know how to do a Boston Crab. He did it in the ring and got a lot of heat from Rick Martel, and some fans were even laughing at him! Tom says that Greg made no big deal about it. After the match, he showed Tom how to do the move and Tom seems to have really appreciated that.

-Shannon then plays an interview with Macho Sasquatcho from Incredibly Strange Wrestling. He got his start in wrestling in a weird way. Working at a pizza place at the time, there were flyers advertising a wrestling show not to far away. Sasquatcho gets to the event early with free pizza, hoping to get in the show free. Being that the ring was empty, Sasquatcho gets in the ring and starts to fool around. The promoter catches him, and asks if he would like to be part of the show. That's how it started!

-Shannon plays an interview with Jamie Noble. Jamie mentions that he has just had a child, and has been spending time with his family during his time off. He expects to join the new WCW real soon, and is looking forward to it. He had good things to say about Jimmy Hart. Hart has had a major impact on Noble's career.

-The guys talk about upcoming wrestling shows in the area. Shannon thanks his sponsors, and the show ends.

    [Oct 2, 2001]
Guests: Animal, and Greg "The Hammer" Valentine

    [Hawk joins the show]

-Hawk talks about his improving heart condition. He says that it has improved due to his loss of weight, and cardio vascular workouts. He also mentions about the new promotion he will be working for, which is the XWF. He tells Shannon that the XWF will not give Vince a run for his money, but make him run.

[Greg "The Hammer" Valentine joins the show]

-Greg mentions that he's been hitting the weights real heavy and also says that he has been training new talent. Greg also talks about the XWF, saying that it will compete with McMahon's WWF.

-Hawk was asked if he would ever go back to the WWF. He quickly replied "no." He had very interesting words for Vince. Hawk talks about working in WCW, saying that it was a very enjoyable time, more so than the WWF.

-Greg talks about the legacy of his father. Hawk and Greg both agree that Johnny Valentine was the best of all time.

-Hawk mentions some of the things the Road Warriors brought to professional wrestling, the shoulder pads, haircuts, the paint on the face, etc. He also reflected on memorable moments from War Games.

-Greg talked about how he hated the "Rhythm and Blues" gimmick. He only did it in fear of losing his job. Greg also gives the story of how DDP came about to be the driver of the pink Cadillac at Wrestlemania 6!

-Both of the guys reveal stories that stick out in their minds from their years in professional wrestling.

-Greg had good things to say about Brutus Beefcake. He also tells of a story when Brutus was actually crying in the ring! Hawk also jokes on Beefcake.

-Hawk mentions that him and Animal are going to tag up real soon in the XWF.

    [Animal joins the show]

-Animal talks about the XWF as well. He mentions that the XWF is going to take it back to wrestling. He also said that the XWF is going to promote good, fun entertainment. All of the guys seem to agree that the WWF is sending out a bad message to wrestling fans, and that Vince has made a mockery of wrestling.

-Hawk is asked about Paul Heyman. Hawk said that he is a creative guy, and gives him credit for his ECW creation.

-The guys talk about the death of Owen Hart. Hawk mentions that Owen complained about doing the flying stunt, and mentioned that he wouldn't do it many more times to some people.

    - The guys give their closing remarks and the show ends.

    [Oct 10, 2001]
Guests: Nick Bockwinkel and Prince Iaukea

-The show is cut short due to other special programming.

-Shannon first plays an interview with Prince Iaukea. Prince talks about his chance of going to the WWF, which according to him are slim. He says that the WWF is pretty full with talent right now, so he doesn't see himself in the company anytime soon. He also mentions how he was let go by WCW. The company offered him a new contract, but he felt that he was worth more than what they were offering. Prince talked about how he got on television. While at the Power Plant, Kevin Sullivan took a special interest in him. Iaukea says that Sullivan took a special interest in all of the island guys. One day Sullivan asked him if he wanted to go on television and that was how it started.

-Shannon next plays the interview with Nick Bockwinkel. Shannon asks Nick what was the most memorable thing in his career. Nick replied that being a champion either as tag or singles competitor for 17 years, sticks out in his mind. He gave his feelings on the business today. He had positive things to say. Nick says that the way Vince is running the WWF is the right way to do it. Nick mentions a little about his book that he is working on, which is not based on wrestling called "The Incredible Anal Impaction".

-McGroin talks about his upcoming match at the WrestlePlex. McGroin seems to have a problem during the whole show with Shannon Rose wearing a Dawson Creek shirt. He also seems to think Shannon is trying to put himself over during the show, and complains about not being able to talk. Kinda funny!!

    Murfberg sent in the following:

I was watching sportscenter and they were re-capping pro bowling. A bowler by the name of Peter Webber bowled a 299 (almost a perfect game). After the game, during his interview he put everyone on watch that he (Peter Webber) was back. He continued to perfrom the typical RVD arm motions pointing towards himself saying, "I'm P - D - W".

Ryan Swartz and jeme9630 also informed us of this.
