RVD Raw error, Steve Austin/Kurt Angle, WWF/DirecTV, more

The "I'm going to buy a watch for Christmas so that you can be on time" line was an actual shoot by Steve Austin, when he was talking to Rob Van Dam in the ring. RVD missed his cue to come out to the ring with the rest of the Alliance, leading Justin Credible to walk to the back, find RVD, and walk with him to the ring. The WWF has a history of being very angry with anyone who blows a cue on television, which could only add to the backstage heat that RVD already has.

Both Steve Austin and Kurt Angle had minor cuts on their faces from last night's tag match, which aren't serious enough to require stitches.

The WWF apparently felt as though DirecTV had no sense of urgency to negotiate a new deal to air their Pay Per Views. The WWF would like to have a deal with DirecTV, since they would reach a larger audience, but not under the pace or terms that DirecTV is moving.

Several people are predicting that last night's Washington Redskins vs. Dallas Cowboys Monday Night Football game could be the lowest rated football game, on that night, in ABC history. This could only help RAW's ratings for this week.
