Smackdown rating, WWF prospects booked for house shows, Angle, more

    - Last night's episode of WWF Smackdown! did a final rating of 3.9 (6 share) which isn't all that bad considering every show on NBC's primetime schedule did over a 12, including the 19.5 rating done by the season premiere of Friends.

    - According to Kurt Angle himself, he suffered a knee injury during his match with Steve Austin at Unforgiven. He also didn't have any idea that he would be wrestling Booker T the next night on Raw.

    - Christian will be the special guest on WWF Byte This! next Friday at 4 PM EST at WWF.com.

    - Tod Gordon is reportedly very enthusiastic about taking over MECW and has a strong interest in bringing in some indepedent talent.

    - WWF developmental prospects Brock Lesnar and Russ McCullough have been booked to wrestle at next weekend's WWF house shows. Lesnar will be facing Tommy Dreamer at the October 6th event in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and Chris Kanyon at the October 7th event in St. Paul, Minnesota. McCullough will take on Kanyon at the event on October 6th in Winnipeg, Manitoba and Dreamer at the October 7th event in Valparaiso, Indiana.
