Update on MECW's status, Hurricane/Rock interviews, Mero in movie

    - Perry Saturn and Chris Kanyon will be the special guests on this weekend's episode of WWF Excess.




    - Despite the news of MECW's financial backer being in trouble with the SEC, people within MECW are said to be much more enthusiastic than they were a week ago. In fact, several more MECW shows are expected to be announced soon.

    - Rena Mero recently finished shooting a movie on location in the Czech Republic called The Final Victim. The movie will be released in early 2002. More information can be found at RenaMero.com.

    The Hurricane was interviewed briefly on WCOL, 92.3 this morning in Columbus. Hurricane was in character for the whole interview, opening with his "Good day, citizens." He was asked what his purpose was, and he said "to fight for truth, justice, and the Eurpoean way." He said that his powers were "fighting evil," and tht he also had no weaknesses. He also claimed that evil was "the WWF, especially Kurt Angle" and that Steve Austin was a champion of justice. Afterwards, the DJs msotly mocked the interview calling it "the worst interview I've ever done."
