- MECW's financial backer has finally been revealed and according to the SEC (Security and Exchange Commission), the backer is a person named Garry Stroud. The backer, which operates out of British Columbia, has swindled victims out of up to $1 million. Reportedly, Stroud is being accused of creating several false businesses to entice victims to invest large amount of money in them. In turn, they were promised large returns. One of those companies was Diamond Global Trust, which owns MECW.ws.

The SEC has frozen some of Stroud's assets bur reportedly, Stroud has been in contact with MECW about payments and bounced checks as recently as this week. Some of the checks MECW owner/promoter John Collins gave to his talent two weeks ago have bounced and others that had been promised payment never received any.
