WWF Raw is War, September 17th, 2001. Live from Nashville, Tennessee. Commentators: Jim Ross and Paul Heyman.
Two matches have been announced for tonight's show. Stone Cold Steve Austin teams up with Rob Van Dam to take on Kurt Angle and Chris Jericho. In the second match, The Rock battles Test and Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley in a Handicap Rematch from last week's RAW.
A waving American flag appears on the Titantron and the crowd chants madly for "USA"
The RAW theme music hits and the pyros go off. Hot crowd tonight. Fans are shown having a good time at WWF New York as well.
Flames are set off on the ramp and Rollin hits the arena. Here come the returning Undertaker and Kane for a WWF Tag Team Championship Match.
And the challengers, the men who earned this shot by defeating the Big Show and Tajiri a two weeks ago on RAW, the Dudley Boyz.
WWF Tag Team Championship Match: Kane and The Undertaker (champions) vs. The Dudley Boyz D-Von and Kane start off the match. Kane with a shot to D-Von. Kane with right hands and then a reverse elbow after an irish whip. Kane with elbows but D-Von is back up. D-Von punches Kane but the punches have no effect on Kane. Kane with a sidewalk slam on D-Von. Kane goes up to the top rope and Kane with a flying clothesline for a 2 count which Bubba Ray interrupts. Kane tags in Undertaker. Taker with right hands to D-Von. Taker whips D-Von into the corner but D-Von fights back with right hands. Undertaker misses a clothesline and D-Von hits Taker with a flying shoulder block. Bubba tagged in and Bubba with elbow drops to Taker. Taker back up and Taker with an arm crank. Taker leads Bubba to the top rope and Undertaker hits an old school top rope clothesline. Taker with an arm bar now on Bubba but D-Von makes the save. Bubba with a neckbreaker to Taker. Bubba whips Taker into the corner but Bubba runs into a Big Boot. Undertaker with a running DDT and then a tag to Kane. Kane misses a clothesline but then catches Bubba with a right hand. Kane goes for a Chokeslam but D-Von interferes. Kane goes for a double chokeslam but the Dudleys suplex Kane. The Dudleys hit the Wassup Drop on Kane and then go outside for the table. The Dudleys set up a table on the outside and then work on Kane's injured elbow and as D-Von goes back to his corner, Bubba hits Kane with an armbar takedown. Bubba sets Kane in the corner and then Bubba climbs up and then goes for the 10 punch on Kane. Kane powerbombs D-Von off of him and then Kane and D-Von tag Taker and Bubba. Taker sets both Dudleys up in the corner and hits splashes on both. Taker with a back body drop on D-Von and then a leg drop for a 2 coun that Bubba Ray breaks up. Taker whips D-Von into the referee and then hits a Big Boot. Kronik runs down with Steven Richards and then Kronik are able to double-team Kane and then Double Chokeslam Kane through the table the Dudleys had set up earlier! Taker goes to grab Bryan Adams but Adams drops Taker over the top rope. The Dudleys are able to whip Taker into the ropes and hit the 3D on Taker for the win. They show clips of the Dudley Boyz defeating the Undertaker and Kane for the WWF tag titles, thanks to Kronik.
Shane McMahon arrives in a limosuine and Richards informs Shane that Kronik just screwed Undertaker and Kane and the Dudleys are the new tag champs. Richards asks if he and Kronik can join the Alliance and Shane says done deal. Shane says he's had his eye on Kronik for quite some time. Shane gives Kronik a WCW Tag Team Championship Match with the Undertaker and Kane at Unforgiven.
Lance Storm is shown looking at the WWF Extreme magazine. Storm says they're hardly wearing any clothes. Storm says he will beat Jeff Hardy tonight. Hurricane comes in and tells Citizen Storm he's looking for a sidekick, another superhero to assist him. Hurricane looks directly at Storm. Storm mentions Ivory. Hurricane says Ivory is pure to the Hurripowers, but... Hurricane pauses. Hurricane seems to get an idea and then runs off.
Austin and Debra go to Austin's locker room and see that Rob Van Dam is there. Austin seems mad that RVD is in Austin's locker room. RVD asks Austin why he threw RVD off the stage last week. Austin says so he could keep his Hardcore title! RVD says okay, as long as they're cool. Austin says they're cool. RVD says the guys in the Alliance have been asking him for advice lately, and they look up to him now that he's stepped up to the plate. He says the look at RVD as a leader. Austin looks pissed. RVD says he just wants to help out. Austin screams that he can help out by leaving his locker room. RVD leaves and Austin screams at Debra that they should be asking Austin for the advice! He's Stone Cold Steve Austin, what? He said he's Stone Cold Steve Austin.

The Team Extreme music hits and here comes Jeff Hardy accompanied by Lita.
And representing the Alliance, Lance Storm accompanied by Ivory.
Jeff Hardy vs. Lance Storm Jeff and Storm lock horns. Storm with an arm wrench but Jeff flips around to evade. Storm is able to keep the arm wrench locked. Storm with knees to Jeff. Storm whips Jeff into the ropes but Jeff evades and whips Storm off the ropes and then Jeff side-steps Storm to the outside of the ring. Jeff runs along the rails and then clotheslines Storm from off the rail. Jeff heads back inside and Storm follows. Storm hip tosses Jeff to the outside. Jeff is able to roll back in but Storm is in control and hits a backbreaker for a 2 count. Storm with knees to the lower back of Jeff. Storm whips Jeff off the ropes and then a back body drop for another 2 count. Storm picks Jeff up by the hair and then whips Jeff chest-first into the turnbuckle for another 2 count. Storm with more knees drops to Jeff. Storm with an East Indian stretch, Storm driving the knee into the back until Jeff is able to stand up and then takedown Storm with an unorthodox move. Jeff with a double legdrop to the groin and then a side russian leg-sweep. Jeff with a sunset roll-up for a 2 count. Jeff goes back up to the top rope and then hits Storm with a twisting corkscrew for another 2 count. Ivory distracts Jeff on the outside and tries to trip Jeff and Storm with the Superkick for a near 2 count. Ivory with shots to Jeff but Lita runs over. Lita runs into Storm who blocks Lita from Ivory but Jeff dives over the ring ropes to hit a flying cross-body on Jeff. Jeff rolls Storm back into the ring and Jeff goes for the Swanton Bomb but Storm sticks his knees up. Storm goes to whip Jeff into the corner but Jeff reverses and Jeff whips Storm back into the turnbuckle. Jeff climbs up on top of Storm but Storm is able to grab Jeff by the leg and locks on the Single Crab for the submission win. Winner: Lance Storm
Shane is talking to Stephanie in the back. Shane asks Steph what made her last Monday take on Rock with Test in a Handicap Match. Steph said she had a plan, but Booker was late. Shane says she's teaming with Test again tonight to take on The Rock. Shane shows a clip of Rock about to give the Rock Bottom to Stephanie but Test save Stephanie. Steph says Test was there to make the save so Shane shouldn't worry, and tonight she won't be doing commentary. She will be in the ring and she will kick The Rock's ass. She says Shane isn't the boss of her and she will do this. Tazz interrupts and talks to Shane. Tazz says the Alliance has been showing him a lot of disrespect lately, especially Austin, and Tazz needs to take some frustration out. Shane says he can do that in a match tonight. Tazz thanks Shane and tells Shane the mood is definitly about to change. As Tazz leaves, Shane mutters the mood is going to change alright.

Shawn Stasiak's music hits and here he comes, accompanied by Stacy Keibler.
A siren hits the arena and here comes Perry Saturn. They show vignettes of Saturn's quest for Moppy.
Shawn Stasiak vs. Perry Saturn Stasiak boots Saturn into the corner. Stasiak chokes Saturn on the rope and then Saturn walks into a Pumpl Handle Buster for a 2 count. Stasiak choking Saturn on the middle rope now. Stasiak with more right hands to Saturn in the corner and then a running clothesline. Saturn with a hip toss to Stasiak and then right hands. Saturn whips Stasiak into the ropes and then Saturn with a drop kick and then a belly to belly overhead suplex. Saturn with the springboard dropkick for the 2 count. Saturn runs off the ropes but Stasiak with a jumping reverse elbow for a 2 count. Saturn with a takedown to Stasiak but Stacy distracts Saturn on the apron. Stasiak heads over and argues with Stacy for being there but Saturn with a superkick and a cradle for a 2 count. Saturn whips Stasiak off the ropes and Stasiak trips and falls flat on his face. Saturn with the Spinning Fisherman's Suplex for the win. Winner: Perry Saturn
They show Raven and Terri on the Titantron. They have Moppy. Raven does a voice-over for Moppy and argues with the mop. Terri says that Moppy is right between her legs and there sits Moppy. However Terri is standing on a wood chipper. Terri says at one point Saturn could have had her AND Moppy but it's too late now. Raven continues to argue with the mop. Raven turns on the wood chipper and Moppy is sucked in. Raven screams "No, no, no, no!" in the voice he is using as Moppy's voice as Moppy is sucked into the wood chipper and sliced up into bits.
R.I.P. Moppy. Born in a woodshop. Died in a woodchipper. You were our favorite inanimate object of the household, we will never forget you..

They show clips of Raven chopping up Moppy in the wood chipping machine. Saturn's face is twisted in horror. Saturn screams for Moppy but it is too late.
Stephanie is shown talking to RVD. Steph says she's angry with Shane, she doesn't think Shane should be telling her what she can and can't do. RVD says she doesn't have to listen to Shane. RVD asks if there's anything he can do to make her feel better. Stephanie says she wants him to pin Jericho tonight in the tag match. RVD asks if that's all. Stephanie asks him to put his Hardcore Title on the line at Summerslam against Chris Jericho and put away Jericho for good. RVD says he'll do anything.
Molly Holly is shown waiting for Spike Dudley but Hurricane comes in and asks Molly if she wants to be his sidekick. Hurricane says this is a great proposal. Spike walks in and Hurricane asks "What's up with that!?". Hurricane leaves and tells Molly that if she needs him, that she can always use the Hurrisignal. Hurricane leaves in a gust of wind.
Shane and Booker T are shown preparing in the back. Shane and Booker count how many times Booker was WCW Champion. 5-TIME! 5-TIME! Tazz comes in and Shane tells Tazz that since they have a Handicap Match at Unforgiven with The Rock, Tazz has a Handicap Match tonight. Shane says Tazz's opponents are he and Booker T. Shane says it's a win-win situation. Tazz gets to take out his frustrations and they get to warm up for their Handicap Match with The Rock. Booker asks Tazz if he can dig that. Tazz angrily stares Booker straight in the eye and says yeah, he can dig it.

Here Comes The Money hits the arena and signals the arrival of the WCW Owner, Shane McMahon.
The arena glows orange and here comes a very frustrated Tazz.
Booker T and Shane McMahon vs. Tazz Shane and Booker beat down Tazz the second he gets into the ring. Tazz with right hands to Shane but Booker with a sidekick to Tazz. The ref sends Shane to the apron and Booker works on Tazz. Booker pounds Tazz onto the mat and then Booker tags Shane. Booker holds Tazz in bearhug position and then Shane with a running neckbreaker to Tazz. Shane beats Tazz down and then Shane with a flying elbow for a 2 count. Shane continues to kick and punch Tazz and then Booker is tagged back in. Booker with more kicks and boots to Tazz as Tazz helplessly lies on the mat. Shane is tagged back in and Booker kicks Tazz in the stomach. Shane with right hands to Tazz but Tazz battles back with right hands of his own. Shane makes the blind tag to Booker and Booker with a flying shoulder block. Booker tosses Tazz to the outside and Shane and Booker double-team Tazz on the outside. Booker bounces Tazz's head off the announce table and then Shane with a clothesline off the security wall to Tazz. Booker pulls Tazz back into the ring. Booker with a scoop slam and then a knee to the collarbone. Booker is about to go for the Spinneroonie but Booker tags Shane. Shane with cocky right hands to Tazz until Tazz is knocked off his feet once again. Shane with shots to the ribs of Tazz. Shane then slaps Tazz across the face. Shane slaps Tazz again. Shane goes for a third slap but Tazz with a T-Bone Suplex to Shane! Booker runs in but walks into a clothesline. Tazz with a T-Bone to Booker now. Tazz locks on the Tazzmission on Shane but Booker interferes. Tazz now with the Tazzmission on Booker but Shane hits Tazz with a low blow. Booker hits Tazz with an axe kick and then Booker "electrifies" the crowd with the Spinneroonie. Shane goes up top and hits Tazz with a flying elbow drop for the win. Winners: Booker T and Shane McMahon

Coachman is interviewing Christian. Coachman asks Christian if he knows where Edge is. Christian says these people in the arena are paying their money to see his entrance live in person. Christian says as far as Edge goes, who cares. He doesn't have the looks and brains in the family. Well, he's not Tennessee ugly, but who is. Christian says Edge is probably savoring his moments as Intercontinental Champion. Christian says one title is not enough however, tonight he will beat Tajiri for the U.S. Title Belt and at Unforgiven it will be title for title. And then Christian will have double-singles gold. Christian says that will prove once again that whatever Edge can do, Christian can do better.
Stand back! There's a Hurricane coming through! Here comes the European Champion.
And the challenger, accompanied by Molly Holly, Spike Dudley.
WWF European Championship Match: The Hurricane (champion) vs. Spike Dudley Hurricane spins around the ring and poses. Hurricane with a headlock takedown but Spike reverses into a hip toss and then a pinning situation for a 2 count. Spike with a chinlock. Hurricane backs Spike into the corner and Hurricane with a hard right hand. Spike reverses Hurricane into the opposite corner but Spike walks into a superkick from Hurricane. Hurricane puts on his cape and then heads up to the top rope. Molly rips off Hurricane's cape which distracts Hurricane. Spike goes for the Dudley Dog but Hurricane tosses Spike to the outside. Hurricane goes outside and beats Spike before throwing him into the ring. Molly still has Hurricane's cape. Molly tosses the cape into the ring and Hurricane chases after it. As Hurricane picks up the cape, Molly goes for a dropkick on Hurricane but Hurricane moves and Molly hits Spike. Hurricane hits Spike with his modified neckbreaker for the win. Winner and still WWF European Champion: The Hurricane
Molly checks on Spike in the ring. Molly looks like she can't believe she hit him.

They show clips from earlier in the evening, The Dudley Boyz defeating Undertaker and Kane at the hands of Kronik. Kronik and Steven Richards then joined the Alliance.
Heyman confirms that Rob Van Dam will defend the WWF Hardcore Championship against Chris Jericho at Unforgiven.
They show WWF New York. The fans are having a great time. Of course WWF New York has been used as a rehabilitation center for the past few days.
Shane talks to Torrie Wilson in the back. Shane says Torrie is a great manipulator. She says she weaseled her way into the Commissioner's office, and has Tajiri eating out of the palm of her hand. Shane questions Torrie allowing Tajiri to defeat Kanyon for the U.S. Title Belt, but figures it's all part of her plan. Shane thanks Torrie for helping the Alliance and then leaves. Torrie looks a bit confused and worried.
Michael Cole is interviewing Kurt Angle. They show clips of Austin tossing RVD off the ramp. Cole asks how Angle feels going into a match tonight with Austin. Angle says he feels the same as he will at Unforgiven, he says he feels he is going to kick Austin's ass. RVD comes up behind Angle and Angle asks if he can help RVD. RVD says he likes to listen in. RVD asks if Angle had heard the R-V-D chants last monday. The crowd starts an R-V-D chant. Angle says tonight they will be chanting, and at Unforgiven they will be chanting U-S-A. Angle points to himself. The crowd chants R-V-D louder than U-S-A, however.

Lugz Boot Of the Week: Christian's attack on his brother 2 weeks ago on RAW is WAR. One-man Con-Chair-To still looks as nasty as ever.
CHRISTIAN!...CHRISTIAN!..At last you're on your own! A crowd that has been gradually dying as the night progresses barely responds to Christian and his flashy pyro and entrance.
And here comes the U.S. Champion, accompanined by the beautiful Torrie Wilson, TAJIRI!
WCW U.S. Championship Match: Christian vs. Tajiri (champion) Torrie kisses Tajiri and Christian takes advantage with an eye rake. Tajiri reverses and Tajiri with hard knife-edge chops and then a stiff kick. Tajiri goes for another kick but gets powerbombed by Christian. Christian beats Tajiri down to the mat and Christian with a backbreaker for a 2 count. Christian picks Tajiri up and then another backbreaker. Christian with kicks to the back and then a ground clothesline for a 2 count. Christian chokes Tajiri on the middle rope and then Christian with right hands. Christian whips Tajiri into the corner but Christian runs into a boot from Tajiri. Tajiri with a stiff kick and then a hurricanrana to Christian. Christian is back up but Tajiri with a handspring elbow for a 2 count. Christian whips Tajiri into the corner and Tajiri locks on the Tarantula. Tajiri with another kick to the face but Christian heads for outside the ring. Tajiri tries to catch him but Christian with an elbow to Tajiri. Christian goes to hit Tajiri with the steel chair and Tajiri goes to hit Christian with the Green Mist but Tajiri sprays the referee. The ref calls for the bell. Winner by Disqualification: Christian
Christian with a rib shot to Tajiri with a chair. Christian sets Tajiri back in the ring and puts a chair under Tajiri's head. Christian gets the other chair and is ready to flatten Tajiri's head with the one-man Con-Chair-To but Edge comes out of nowhere and hits Christian with a Spear! Edge beats Christian down to the mat but referees separate the two. Christian escapes to the back as Edge looks on from the ring with intensity.
The Rock is shown in the back, on his way to the ring.

They show during the break that Tajiri is heading up the ramp with Torrie and out of nowhere Rhyno hits the GORE on Tajiri!
Shane says finally someone in the Alliance is getting it. Shane says that was an intense, Tajiri's head just bounced off the steel. Shane gives Rhyno a U.S. Championship Match with Tajiri at Unforgiven.
My Time hits the anena and here comes the ECW owner, Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley to the old Triple H music.
Test, Test, this is a Test. Here comes her partner, Test.
If ya smell..what The Rock..IS COOKIN. Here comes the WCW Champion, The Rock.
Stephanie McMahon Helmsley and Test vs. The Rock Rock with right hands to Test. Rock whips Test into the ropes but Rock moves and pulls Steph right off the apron. Rock sends Test outside and bounces Test's head off the announce table. Rock sends Test back in the ring but as Rock slides back in he gets boots from Test. Rock with a belly to belly throw to Test for a 2 count. Rock bounces Test's head off the turbnuckle. Test whips Rock into the corner but walks into an elbow. Test with a sidewalk slam to Rock and then right hands to Rock on the mat. Test chokes Rock along the middle rope and then Stephanie joins in on the outside. Test with hard right hands to Rock in the corner and then a reverse elbow. Rock fights back with his right hands but Test with a side-russian leg sweep to Rock. Test with more hard right hands and then Test with a suplex for a 2 count. Test picks Rock back up. Rock ducks a clothesline from Test and Rock with right hands. Test overpowers The Rock however with a Pump Handle buster for a 2 count. Test picks up the Rock again and holds The Rock as Steph talks trash to Rock and then slaps Rock twice in the face. Rock with right hands to Test as Rock is back up. Rock with a flying shoulder block and both men are down. Rock is back up to his feet first and Rock with more right hands. Rock with a DDT for a 2 count. Test with a side slam to Rock and Test tags Steph. Rock pops back up to attack Steph and Test runs in and a boot to the back of Rock. Steph tags Test and Test goes for a Big Boot but walks into a Rock Bottom. Rock with the cover but the referee, Nick Patrick, is talking to Steph. Rock approaches the ref and Patrick pushes Rock. Rock then delivers the Rock Bottom to Nick Patrick. Rock then spots Steph on the apron and pulls her into the ring the hard way. Rock goes for the Rock Bottom on Steph but Booker T and Shane McMahon run down. Shane and Booker attack Rock and then Test hits Rock with the Big Boot. Booker is able to nail Rock with the Axe Kick and then Shane McMahon goes up top one last time for the flying elbow drop to the Rock. Shane hits a modified version of the Spinneroonie that Heyman has dubbed the "Macaroonie". Test and Shane hold the Rock as Booker hits the Book-End on The Rock. Stephanie slides back into the ring covers The Rock and Nick Patrick registers the count. Winners: Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley and Test

RVD is knocking on Austin's dressing room. Austin screams that he locked the door. RVD says they gotta get to the ring the match is on. Austin screams that he'll see RVD out there. RVD says okay. RVD begins to leave but then knocks on the door again in a different way. Austin answers and looks really pissed. RVD smiles and says he'll see Austin out there. RVD walks away smiling.

Jericho with knife-edge chops to Austin and then Jericho rams Austin into the steps. Austin and Jericho start off as they both head into the ring. Austin bangs Jericho's head off the post but Jericho with knife-edge chops to Austin. Austin whips Jericho off the ropes. Jericho ducks a clothesline and then Jericho with a knee. Austin measures Jericho into the corner and sets him up on the top rope. Austin goes for a cheap shot on Angle on the apron but Angle moves and Austin walks into a missle dropick from Jericho. Austin tags RVD. RVD beats Jericho in the corner. RVD goes for a heel kick but Jericho moves and hits a clinching slam on RVD. Angle tagged in. Angle with a cross-body to RVD. Angle beats RVD down in the corner. Angle whips RVD into the corner but RVD reverses. RVD goes for a rolling clothesline but Angle hits RVD with a clothesline of his own for a 2 count. Angle tags Jericho and Jericho with knife-edge chops to RVD. RVD suplexes Jericho onto the apron but Jericho head butts RVD. RVD kicks Jericho off the apron and then Austin slams Jericho onto the nearby announce table. Austin goes to piledrive Jericho on the floor but Angle makes the save. The ref sends Angle and Austin back to their corners. RVD sets Jericho up on the security rail and hits a leg drop on Jericho from the inside of the ring. RVD sends Jericho back in the ring and hits a flying roundhouse for a 2 count. RVD tags Austin. Austin stomps a mudhole in Jericho in the corner. Austin whips Jericho off the ropes and then Austin with a sleeper hold. Jericho counters with a jawbreaker and Austin quickly tags RVD. RVD beats Jericho down in the corner but Jericho rolls RVD up for a 2 count. RVD and Jericho hit each other down with a double takedown. Both men get back up and Austin and Angle are tagged in. Austin goes for a clothesline on Angle but knocks down the referee. Jericho and Angle double-team Austin in the corner. RVD goes to heel kick Angle but hits Austin. Angle tosses RVD outside and then Jericho with a springboard dropkick to RVD on the outside. Austin goes for the Lou Thesz press on Angle but it's countered into an ankle lock. Austin is about to tap but RVD makes the save. Jericho back in now and locks the Walls of Jericho on RVD. Austin grabs the ring bell and nails Jericho with it. Austin is about to hit Angle with the ring bell but the ref is back up and takes it out of Austin's hand. Angle with a suplex to Austin for a 2 count. Both men struggle to stand but Austin hits a Spinebuster. Both men are down again. Austin measures Angle as Austin is back on his feet. Austin flips Angle the middle finger and goes for the Stunner on Angle but Angle counters into the Olympic Slam for the fair and square 3 count. Winners: Chris Jericho and Kurt Angle
Austin clutches his WWF Championship Title Belt as he looks on at Angle as Angle stands at ringside. Angle has a smirk on his face as Austin grimaces at his defeat.
