The Main Event Mafia members are said to be excited about their new angle and the crowd response. TNA World Champion Sting has not been involved in the beatdowns for two reasons. The creative team wanted to portray him as the boss in movie "The Godfather" where he watches his men do the dirty work. The second reason is if the decision were made for him to leave the group then they could use his non-participation in the beatdowns as a reason he was never fully committed.
