-- WinnipegFreePress.com is reporting that World Wrestling Entertainment has signed Canadian wrestler "Prime Cut" Jon Cutler to a three-year developmental deal. He will begin training at Florida Championship Wrestling in a few weeks. The Winnipeg native hopes to follow in the footsteps of fellow Winnipeggers Chris Jericho and Rowdy Roddy Piper. He told the newspaper, "I keep thinking that guys like Jericho and Piper set the bar pretty high, so I kind of feel a little bit of pressure that even though I'm getting my shot, I don't want to let people down. Those aren't easy names to follow."

-- The ratings are also in for Week 2 of Hulk Hogan's Celebrity Championship Wrestling on CMT. The show had four airings (one more than last week), with the primetime 8 PM airing doing 0.3 cable rating, down from last week's 0.4. (Source: Neilson Media Research)
