WWE News: Famous WWE Catchphrase Censored, Stephanie & Triple H, Ron Simmons Seminar Submitted by Daniel Pena on Sunday, October 26, 2008 at 4:07 PM EST
-- On this week's airing of Monday Night Raw on WWE 24/7 (October 13, 1997), Shawn Michaels & Triple H are involved in an interview segment with Sgt. Slaughter, who was the on-screen figurehead at the time. Slaughter informs the duo that they need to start showing respect. Michaels flippantly remarks, "Suck it!" to Slaughter and does the crotch chop. Triple H then directs a crotch chop of his own to Slaughter. Michaels' "Suck it" remark was censored during the airing, which I think was the first time it was uttered during a WWE broadcast. This was also the same show in which the name "D-Generation X" was first mentioned. In recent weeks, WWE 24/7 has been airing footage of the early days of DX, so it should be interesting to see if they continue to censor the catchphrase on further broadcasts.
-- Stephanie McMahon and Triple H celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary yesterday. The couple got married in Sleepy Hollow, New York on October 25, 2003, one week past the last time Stephanie was a regular character in WWE.
