In an interview with Mike Monneyham of Charleston.net, Ric Flair said that it was time to make change when he left WWE. "No one respects the WWE more than me. They have created a remarkable brand in business and sports entertainment. I just felt it was time for Ric Flair to go out and try some new things. I was thinking that I need the right person to help me be successful in the next chapter of my life. And that person is (agent) Elaine Gillespie." Flair said.
