Police Close Off Block Following MSG Show, WWE Invading Politics, Huge UK Tour

    -- Following last night's Raw brand house show at Madison Square Garden, police were forced to close off a full block due to thousands of fans waiting to see the wrestlers leave, reports ProWrestling.NET. The show was a legit sellout.

    -- WWE Superstars and Divas will be in attendance at the both the Democratic and Republican National Conventions over the next two weeks as a part of their "SmackDown Your Vote!" initiative, which is to encourage fans under the age of 30 to vote in this year's election. Perhaps showing what side some of the wrestlers are, Batista, Shelton Benjamin and Candice Michelle will attend the Democratic National Convention in Denver from Aug. 26 to 31. Shawn Michaels, Mr. Kennedy and Mickie James will attend the Republican National Convention in St. Paul, Minnesota, from September 1 to 4.     -- WWE has announced dates for next April's tour of Europe. They have shows scheduled in Glasgow, Scotland, Aberdeen, Scotland, London, England, Cardiff, Wales, London, England again, Cardiff, Wales, Liverpool, England, and Belfast, Northern Ireland.
