    Happy Independence Day Everyone!!

Hello and welcome to the report that states the up and up on the greatest show on cable television on Friday nights, Friday night Smackdown! I’m the Smackdown! Reporter, Christopher Huynh here to give you the viewers information on what happened on Friday night Smackdown! In addition to this, if you haven’t already heard from MIK, this will be the last report for Smackdown! I call. Wishing you a happy 4th of July, let us no longer waste time and get on with the report.

Before the show starts, an Independence Day video airs, showing tribute to the men and women who have fought for our independence.

A new Smackdown video package showing the new draftees rolls and fireworks go off. J.R says ‘happy birthday America’ as we are then welcomed to a special edition of Smackdown. We are then told the main event is going to be a Fatal ‘Fourth of July’ Four Way Match.

In the ring, we see MVP in the ring and it looks as though we are set to have a VIP Lounge.

MVP states that this means only one thing…big things poppin, little things stopping! The VIP lounge is for people better than you, and tonight he will kick off the show with a BIG deal. His guest tonight is none other than the Game, Triple H.

The Game’s music hits and he makes his way down to the ring to a great ovation. The two sit down on the leather couch and MVP congratulates HHH on successfully defending his title against John Cena at Night of Champions. He then says he wants to be the first to welcome Triple H to SmackDown. HHH then gets on the mic and says that he is a big fan of the VIP Lounge and it isn’t a shocker that it’s the highest rated segment on Smackdown. HHH then mentions that he even likes that power ranger outfit MVP wears down to the ring and that is also the reason little kids love MVP so much. MVP is a little ticked off, but responds by saying that his attire is cutting edge technology, meant for athletes. He then tells HHH that it must feel pretty bad that a guy like MVP, who has been here for only 2 years, makes a lot more money than a guy like HHH. The Game responds by saying that he’d rather go down in history as a 12 time World Champion than the biggest waste of money in Smackdown history. HHH then says he wants to show MVP and the crowd a video. After a brief argument, the video plays and it’s a footage of Edge getting annihilated on RAW this past Monday night and losing his championship. The two then share jokes and make fun of Edge until Vickie Guerrero comes out.

The crowd boos and she says that she is still the GM. HHH says he knows who she is and that he wants to congratulate her on her wedding with Edge. HHH then says that Edge is a genius, marrying the boss to get ahead in business. (HHH is visibly smiling – For those that do not know, this is a reference to Stephanie as well). He then tells Vickie that the two should go to Vegas because he knows a place where they can get in a car and go through a drive through and get married, and the best thing about it is that you don’t even have to be conscious. Vickie gets annoyed and says that Edge has done a lot of things that HHH will never be able to accomplish. For instance, Edge has successfully beaten Batista for the World Title every time they faced off and Edge was able to beat and banish the Undertaker from the WWE. HHH agrees, and says looking at her, there are a lot of things Edge would do that he would never do. Vickie is frustrated, and then makes a match between HHH and Edge at the Great American Bash for the WWE Championship.

Edge takes off his belt and whips Festus as Ryder and Hawkins hold Jesse down. Edge then gets a chair and smashes it over Festus’s head. The crowd chants “Edge Sucks!”

Overall Match/Segment Rating: This was very unique and interesting. As a whole, this gets a 3 out of 5 stars.

In Vickie’s office, Edge is shown talking to Vickie. Edge tells her he can’t rest and feels naked without the title. Vickie informs Edge that he will be given a title shot against HHH at the Great American Bash. Vickie then says that what happened Monday was stupid. She even goes on to say that why Edge would even bother to show up on RAW without her permission. Edge gets angry and says that he doesn’t need such permission. Edge adds that he sacrifices so much that he can forget about Vickie’s permission. Vickie tells Edge to calm down and be angry with himself because he was the fool who lost the title.

A video hyping Jeff Hardy’s return to Smackdown plays. He is up next!

The Rainbow Haired Warrior makes his way down to the ring to perhaps the greatest ovation of the night.

His opponent is introduced as John Morrison.

As the bell rings, Morrison locks up and strikes with his knee and proceeds to deliver clubbing shots to the back of Hardy. After some time, Jeff gets a shoulder block that takes Morrison down. She didn't get the job out of ability, and Edge says HE is the real GM of Smackdown. She says she has sacrificed for him, her injured neck and back, she is confined to the wheel chair for the rest of her life. Edge tells her to shut up and says to speak to him in English. **Commercial**

Edge makes his way down to the ring and is frustrated. He says that on RAW he was the victim of two cowardly attacks and it damn sure wasn’t fair. However, he will find pleasure in defeating HHH for the title at the Great American Bash. As he continues, he mentions that this was perhaps the most difficult week of his life. The crowd cheers. He states that he took Hawkins and Ryder from nothing to the superstars they have become today and yet they don’t show support for him in this time of need. In addition, he restates all the sacrifices he’s done for the WWE Universe and yet they boo. Edge says however that despite all this, he will emerge strong as a solitary figure because he is capable of fighting through such pressure. Then Edge begins to talk about Vickie and how she is simply making matters worse. This leads her to come out and speak from the rampway.

She asks Edge that when he lost the title, did he lose his mind as well. Edge then walks up to the stage area where Vickie is standing and says that the wedding they had scheduled to take place next week is off! Vickie begins crying as Smackdown rolls off the air.

Segment Rating: This was a very interesting segment. I wonder how these storylines will intertwine as we move closer to the Great American Bash. This segment gets a 3.5 out of 5 stars.

    Quick Match Results:
Match 1: Michelle McCool wins Star on a Pole Match
Match 2: Jesse & Festus def. Zach Ryder & Curt Hawkins
Match 3: Jeff Hardy def. John Morrison
    Match 4: Umaga def. Funaki
Match 5: Matt def. Kennedy, Chavo, and Benjamin to retain US Title.

Smack of the Night (Match of the Night) – Fatal Four Way Match for the US Title

Greatest Impact of the Night: Jeff Hardy crashing to the outside area after Morrison hurled him down.

Segment of the Night: A very difficult choice between the opening and closing segments. I will say however, the effect had to be greater from the ending one which is why the Edge/Vickie segment at the end takes the Segment of the Night award.

Overall Show Rating: Despite a few slow points throughout the show, this strong proved to be a very solid show. Therefore tonights show receives a rating of an 8 stars out of 10. Good Job WWE!

Like I said earlier, this was my last report calling the Smackdown action. Thanks for all the support and emails you the viewers have sent me over the past few months. I hope you all welcome MIK with open hands and accept him to be a capable reporter. As I venture off into the Land of Extreme, I hope you all come with me and witness the ECW experience as well.
