-- WWE has changed "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan's contract from a regular talent contract to a WWE Legends deal, which would allow him to make appearances outside of WWE. Basically, he can take indy bookings now. However, he'll still be used at Raw tapings, so he's not leaving television quite yet. He did a "Kiss Cam" segment this past week and wrestled at last week's Heat taping.
-- Mr. Kennedy is J.R.'s "Superstar of the Week" in this week's column on WWE.com. Ross wrote: "Kennedy has major league verbal skills (i.e. he likes to talk, not that there is any thing wrong with that) and certainly seems to have ample potential. It will be interesting to see where this significant victory takes Kennedy." Ross also speaks on potential Raw General Manager candidates. Ross wrote: "Who is going to be the next General Manager of Monday Night Raw? Thank goodness I am not in the running and, if elected, choose not to serve. It seems as if Ted “Million Dollar Man” DiBiase and former Smackdown GM Teddy Long might be early candidates. Perhaps Mr. McMahon will devise a GM for the Week contest and see who does the best job at running WWE’s flagship broadcast before making a decision. I wouldn’t bet on who the winner would be, as I think there most likely will be plenty of solid candidates." You can read the column at this link.
-- The Raw brand's tour of Mexico started last night with a show at Plaza de Toros Monumental in Monterrey. The show featured Triple H vs. JBL for the WWE title, John Cena & Shawn Michaels vs. Umaga & Snitsky and Chris Jericho vs. Jeff Hardy for the IC title. Other talent on the tour include Mick Foley, Mr. Kennedy, Paul Burchill, Katie Lea, Charlie Haas, Lance Cade, Trevor Murdoch, Cody Rhodes, Brian Kendrick, Paul London, Hardcore Holly, and Lilian Garcia. The show sold out with more than 13,000 tickets sold.
