Let me start this by making an announcement: Effective on Wrestlemania, I will no longer be the Raw Reporter for LordsofPain.Net. I have enjoyed my time here, but my school schedule, along with my personal life, require much more attention at the moment. I've had a good run, but it's time to move on. If you're interested in taking the gig, send an email to Webmaster@lordsofpain.net. Thanks!
Raw Review 3/10/2008
3 Hour Wrestlemania Rematch Night
Ric Flair comes down to the ring amidst a big pop. He reminds us that HBK didn't want to face him at Wrestlemania. Flair respects Shawn, but takes some offense to that. He invites Shawn to the ring.
HBK's music hits, and here comes Shawn Michaels. Flair says it's the best entrance in Wrestling today. However, Flair says when he started in this business, the word sympathy didn't exist, and today, pity doesn't exist. Flair feels that Shawn pities him, and doesn't like it. Flair says if he can't compete with the best, he doesn't want his career to continue... and Shawn is the best. He wants respect because he's earned it; not sympathy or pity. If Flair wins at Wrestlemania, it's because he's the man. If HBK beats Flair, then he's beaten the man. He knows his career could come to an end, but he also feels that on a real good day, he can beat him. Flair asks for a match at Wrestlemania.
Shawn says he never meant to express pity. He is "Mr. Wrestlemania." He's been in the greatest moments in the show's history. He doesn't have any control on that day; when Wrestlemania comes, he's the man. Whether Flair's show stops or goes on, the Show is going to get stolen. Michaels accepts!
Before he leaves, he says that on Smackdown, Flair has to face Edge and the Edgeheads. HBK says Flair won't go alone, it'll be 3 on 2.
Orton's music hits. He mocks both of them for their "touching moment." Tonight, though, is not just Wrestlemania rewind, it's week 2 of the triple threat takeover. Tonight, HHH will face Kane in a Wrestlemania rematch. Second, Shawn didn't win last year, so his opponent will be John Cena. He tells Flair to pay attention, because HBK can be beaten just like Cena can.

Taker struggles his way out of it, but catches a clothesline that sends him to the outside. He lands on his feet and pulls Henry out, throwing him into the rail. Taker tries again, but Henry reverses it and throws Taker into the wall. Henry then catches a taste of the ringpoll and gets his head slammed against the casket. Taker puts Henry back in the ring, but walks right into a big slam and splash that puts the Dead Man out. He calls for the casket lid, and pulls on Taker's leg. Taker snaps up and locks in a Triangle Choke. Henry taps out, but to no avail. Taker releases him, and Henry is bleeding from the mouth. Iron Sheik and Nicolai Volkolff v. U.S. Express (Barry Windham and Mike Rotundo)
Jillian Hall interrupts this match from starting. She wasn't even born when this team fought at Wrestlemania 1. She does know that they came out to the song "Born in the USA." Since they can't afford the rights, she'll sing it herself. Rotondo picks her up and puts her in the airplane spin. She falls out of the ring. I guess we get no real match here...
Your winner: No Contest

Cena has a hype video much like Triple H's earlier video. It's the basic "I risked everything to come back early and I'm going to make the most of it" promo.
Beth Phoenix and Melina come out now and talk about Ashley being hurt, and how she's basically got nothing. Tonight, we're getting a Wrestlemania preview:
Maria v. Melina

Maria sees the counter and counters with a snapmare of her own for a 2 count. Maria then puts Melina in a corner, and Melina kicks her way out of it. Santino shows up carrying the magazine on the outside. Maria then hits a stunner-type move, and locks a wastelock on Melina. Maria then starts pummeling her until she gets distracted by Santino. Shane McMahon comes out, and it's time for the weigh-in.
Mayweather steps on the scale first, and plays the crowd. Major heat on him. He weighs in at 159 lbs. The crowd really hates him.
Big Show steps on the scale next. He weighed in at 441.4 lbs. Big Show grabs the mic afterwards and says that Floyd has brought his posse. Big Show brings out HIS posse:
Big Daddy V, Hardcore Holly, Carlito, Shelton Benjamin, Chuck Palumbo, and a host of others come out and surround the ring. There are a ton of wrestlers outside of the ring. Mayweather starts freaking out and yelling at Shane. Big Show calls Mayweather the 20 Million Dollar man, and tells him to throw the money to the crowd so they don't hate him so much, or give it to his posse so they can pretend to be his friends. He asks Mayweather if the risk is really worth it, as there is only 2 scenarios: the first, Big Show will just embarass him. Scenario 2 includes Big Show beating him down and ending his career.
Mayweather grabs the mic and brings out money. There are several hundred dollar bills in his hand. He says Show is right, he is the 20 million dollar man. He says he respects what Show has done in the WWE, but he doesn't respect him as a human being. He might be able to hurt him, but he has to catch him first. Show picks up some money that Mayweather dropped and gives it to the wrestlers on the outside. Mayweather says just like No Way Out, when he broke his nose, he'll break his jaw at Wrestlemania 24. Show picks up Mayweather and gorilla presses him to the outside. The whole place erupts in a brawl at this point.

Cena powers out but runs into a drop-toehold and another front facelock by Michaels. Cena gets back to his feet eventually, but Michaels locks in the headlock and forces him to the ground. Michaels then hits a shoulderblock and then nearly gets a sharpshooter, but Cena gets out, grabs the legs and nearly locks in an STFU. HBK slips out of the ring.
-commercial break-

Cena counters and cradles HBK but gets a 2 count. Cena goes for the FU, but his knee gives out, so HBK continues to work on that. He hits it! HBK starts tuning up the band, but misses sweet chin music. Cena goes for the STFU, but HBK squirms out, and HBK locks on the inverted figure four. Cena gets to the ropes though, and crawls out of the ring. Michaels then baseball slides Cena on the outside and hits a moonsault to the outside. They exchange blows, with Michaels throwing Cena into the ring post, and Orton coming out of nowhere and attacking both men.
Your Winner: No Contest
Orton gets a chair, sets it up, and goes for the RKO on it. Cena throws Orton off of him onto the chair, and hits the FU on Orton.
HHH appears on the jumbotron and says next week, he's in charge. In the ring we're going to see John Cena and Randy Orton as tag team partners against the ENTIRE Raw Roster. Should be a good show.
