WWE News: Carlito's Younger Brother Praised, WWE's "Juicing Problem," WWE's "Industry News" Section

-- Carlito's younger brother Eddie Colon is drawing positive reviews for his work in Florida Championship Wrestling, reports ProWrestling.NET. One wrestler described Eddie as "awesome" and said that he's a natural. Eddie is bilingual and cuts good promos. Eddie, 25, is said to be more charismatic than Carlito at the same age. Eddie has been under a developmental contract to WWE since October 2006, but didn't start in developmental until recently. A few people in WWE feel it's a matter of "when not if" he'll be called up to the main roster.

-- A columnist on FoxSports.com has posted a commentary article regarding WWE's "juicing problem." The columnist questions whether Congress should have subpoenaed Vince McMahon. "Recall that the (Roger) Clemens Committee—otherwise known as Oversight and Government Reform—subpoenaed former Yankees second baseman Chuck Knoblauch as a witness," Mark Kriegel writes. "In fact, the subpoena itself produced national headlines. No such subpoena was issued for McMahon. But maybe there should have been." WWE officials have stated that they will cooperate with Congress in the future. This went unreported, but Vince, Linda McMahon, and Stephanie McMahon Levesque have testified in front of the Oversight and Government Reform committee last September. Also, Vince sent a letter to Congress informing them that his longtime attorney, Jerry McDevitt, was involved in a high-profile trial in Pittsburgh, which is why he was unable to attend Wednesday's hearing regarding performance enhancing drugs in sports. -- Regarding the newly launched "Industry News" section on WWE.com, it was done in part due to concern with falling webite traffic in recent months, reports the Wrestling Observer. Officials don't want the perception that the site is losing steam.
