WWE Launches "Industry" News Section - Features News From Various Wrestling Websites & Plugs TNA

Earlier today, WWE.com changed up its' front page to include an "Industry" news section. What it is is that WWE.com pulls select news stories from various wrestling websites, and then they republish the stories on pages on their website.

The section also features mainstream news stories (articles on wrestlers from newspaper sites) and even stuff regarding TNA. WWE.com actually plugged TNA's upcoming pay-per-view Lockdown (saying tickets go on sale today), and listed their March schedule.

There have been some rumblings in the past that WWE executives wanted WWE.com to be the number one place for wrestling news (i.e. announcing Brock Lesnar coming back to WWE in the summer of 2005 and reporting Stephanie McMahon's first pregnancy in January 2006). In their latest conference call, they mentioned to investors about bringing more eyeballs to their website by creating what they believe will be the ultimate destination point on the Internet for wrestling fans.
