WWE News: Did Jericho Generate PPV Buys For Armageddon?, WrestleMania Price Rises, Cena's Latest Movie

-- The pay-per-view buys figure for Armageddon '07 featuring Chris Jericho vs. Randy Orton is in, and the show did practically the same numbers as the '06 show, which featured a main event of John Cena & Batista vs. King Booker & Finlay. The 2007 show drew 237,000 buys, 149,000 of which were domestic. The 2006 show drew 239,000 buys with 139,000 domestic. Overall, the 2006 show did 2,000 more buys, although the 2007 version drew 10,000 more domestic buys and 12,000 less international buys. In comparison to recent pay-per-views, No Mercy drew 271,000 buys, Cyber Sunday drew 194,000 and Survivor Series drew 341,000.
-- This year's WrestleMania 24 pay-per-view will cost fans $54.95, and that's for the standard definition broadcast. The High Definition broadcast will cost $69.95. For the past few years, the event has cost $49.95.
-- John Cena's latest film, 12 Rounds, begins filming tomorrow in New Orleans, LA. Cena is still scheduled to appear on Raw tomorrow night. He will be working his WWE schedule around the filming of the movie.
