TNA Against All Odds Results 2-10-2008

Against All Odds: A.J. Styles & Tomko [c] vs. Bullet Bob Armstrong
& B.G. James [TNA Tag Team Championship Match]

We open with the Star Spangled Banner, as requested by B.G. James and
Bullet Bob Armstrong. B.G. They make their way to the ring first and
B.G. says he has three words for us…God Bless America. A.J. and Tomko
make their way to the ring next.

AJ gets on the mic and he asks Tomko for an explanation why he was
siding with Cage on impact. Tomko says he needs to get his head on
straight if they are going to successfully defend the titles. Crowd is
very into the opening contest, as they do main event like in-ring
introductions.

AJ starts with BG. They go for a lockup but AJ gets free and breaks.
We lock up again, and AJ has a side headlock. BG whips him to the
ropes and AJ backslides out but then gets decked with a big right
hand. Bullet Bob tagged in. The double team arm wringer him and then
knife edge him.

AJ mouthing off to Bob now in the ring. He gets slapped and does his
best Ric Flair sell impression. Tomko tags himself in and calls for BG
to be tagged in. Bob says he is staying in. Bob slaps Tomko. Tomko
then tosses Bob in the corner and starts to punch away. Bob turns it
around, chops him, tags in BG. Tomko whipped to the ropes and a double
back elbow.

BG with a little work and then tags back in the Bullet who chops Tomko
a few times. Tomko powerslams Bob. AJ jumps in for a cover, even
though he’s not legal. Tomko pulls him off. AJ steps back out, tags
himself in, and dives for the cover. Two count for AJ.

Bob and AJ exchange chops. AJ hits a Pelle kick and a cover but only
two. Tomko tagged in and applies a rear chinlock to Bob. Crowd behind
The Bullet, who elbows out and chops Tomko. Tomko elbows Bob to the
chest. Tomko follows with elbows to the heart. Tomko goes to charge
for a big boot on Bob who ducks and avoids it, then tags in BG. BG
takes out AJ who rushes the ring then knocks Tomko down. BG then hits
the series of jabs on AJ, followed by the right. He hits the knee
drop, and a two count broken up by Tomko. Tomko holds BG for AJ who
springboards, BG moves and he hits Tomko. BG with the Pumphandle on AJ
and the pin…1….2… KICK OUT!

AJ springboard missile dropkicks BG to the left knee. AJ tries to whip
BG but he crumbles and cannot put pressure on the knee. AJ and Tomko
hit the Tornado Plex on BG to seal the deal and score the pinfall. Kip
James comes to the ring quickly to check on BG.


Against All Odds: Payton Banks vs. Traci Brooks

The two go nose to nose as the bell rings and Payton slaps Traci,
Traci returns the favor and then spears Payton, then stomps a mud hole
in her in the corner.

Payton turns it around and applies a choke on Traci. We have a break
and Traci spears Banks. The two roll out to the outside mat. Payton
tries to get away but Traci spears her again and starts punching
franticly.

Brooks sends Banks against the safety rail and chops her a few times.
Payton drop toeholds Traci into the steel steps, and then delivers a
few forearm shots. Back inside the ring now and Payton in control with
right hand and kicks.

Banks rakes the back of Traci, and then hits a Backcracker. Two count
for Payton. She now chokes Traci across the middle rope, then sets up
a powerbomb, but gets reversed into a back body drop. Traci knife-edge
chops Payton, knees her to the face twice then hits a running big
boot, and follows it up with a big clothesline. Traci gets a two
count. She climbs the ropes and Payton knocks her off, then shoulder
blocks her in the corner, charges for a third and meets the ringpost.
Brooks school boys her and gets the pin or the victory. Your
Winner: Traci Brooks After the match Payton cheap shots Traci from
behind. Traci tries to rip her clothes off but Payton gets away and
retreats up the aisle.


Against All Odds: Petey Williams vs. Scott Steiner [Case vs. Case
Match]

Petey Williams is introduced first.. Steiner next, who comes to the
ring with both cases containing the World and X-Division title shots.

Steiner gets on the ropes and poses. Petey goes on the opposite corner
and does the same pose to copy him. Scott saw it the second time and
starts pointing at him. The bell rings and the two circle the ring.
Petey poses at Steiner, Steiner flexes to return the favor. Lock up
and Steiner flings Petey off of him.

Petey dropkicks the legs of Steiner, and then bounces off the ropes,
and gets arm dragged. Petey off the ropes and gets clothesline by
Steiner who is about to drop the elbow, but Petey rolls over and does
the Steiner push ups. He rolls outside quickly, speeds back into the
ring and Superkicks Steiner then jaw jacks him. Two count on Steiner.
Scott back up and he overhead belly to belly suplexes him.

Steiner drops and elbow now and does his patented push ups. Petey on
the top ropes and Steiner hits the Belly to Belly Superplex. He pins
Petey, and then at the count of two, picks him up intentionally. On
the top ropes again and Steiner hits a Super Fall away slam. Pin
attempt, an again picks him up at two. Steiner goes outside and gets
the two cases, he jams one in one corner between the ropes, and sets
the other in the other corner.

Steiner was about to send Petey into the case head first, when referee
Slick Johnson stops him. Petey then has time to turn it around and
send Steiner into the case head first. Two count for Petey. Petey
hits the ropes and hits a Hurricanrada on Scott. Two count. Petey sets
up a Canadian Destroyer, but no shot. Scott picks it up and hits a
Flap Jack and gets a two count. Scott goes for a Steiner Recliner but
Petey rolls him up quickly. Two count. Petey then drop toe holds
Steiner into the rope, and he hits a hesitation drop kick to the back
of Steiner’s Head. Petey hits a springboard knee-to-jawjacker. Two
count. Petey then quickly goes to the top rope and this flying cross
body. Two count for Petey. So now Petey tries a Steiner Recliner.
Steiner stands up and rams Petey into the corner back first. Steiner
now has Petey over his shoulder, but gets pushed into the ropes. Petey
hits a Tornado DDT and pins him but gets two!!!.

Steiner goes for a Steiner Recliner. Petey counters by turning face
up. Petey hits a low blow and sends Scott headfirst into the case.
Petey hits a missile dropkick. Petey now calling for his finish when
suddenly a large black woman with blond hair comes to the ring and
poses, distracting Petey. Scott Steiner no picks up Petey on his
shoulders, turns him around and Powerbombs him for the pinfall and the
victory. Your Winner: Scott Steiner After the match the large
black woman celebrates with Scott.



Against All Odds: Eric Young vs. James Storm [Drinking
Championship]

James storm introduced first followed by Eric Young. Young drinks a
few beers from the fans at ringside. He tries to do a cheer with the
fans but Storm attacks him from behind and sends him inside the ring
to start the match.

Young Thesz Presses Storm and delivers punches. He then knocks Storm
to the outside and hits a flying cross body from the top ropes to the
outside onto Storm. He sends Storm into the guardrail and then back to
the ring we go. Jackie tries to interfere but Young chases her away.
Storm then spits in the face of Young, and delivers a kick to the back
of the head of Young. Storm removes the mat on the floor outside and
hip tosses Young onto the concrete. Back inside, we have a pin attempt
and a two count for Storm.

Outside, Young snap suplexes Storm onto the concrete. Back inside the
ring and Storm kicks Young in the head as he tries to shoulder block
Storm through the ropes. Storm then hits a DDT followed by the Eye of
the Storm.

Storm now with chops to Young, who fights back and gets off a
Powerbomb toss out of nowhere. Young clotheslines Storm, and gets
whipped into the corner but then hits a Belly-to-Belly suplex. Two
count for Young. Storm gets a scoop slam and goes for a Senton Bomb
from the top rope but misses. Young to the top and hits a Moonsault…
Two count only.

Storm planted on the top rope. Jackie in, and Young gets her over his
shoulders, battering rams her into the crotch of Storm who is on the
ropes. Young then lays Jackie across his shoulders and gets Storm over
top of her for a Double Death Valley Driver. Pin…and only two!! Storm
suddenly comes back with a powerbomb and uses the ropes for leverage
on the pin. Two count. Jackie on the ropes, tosses a beer bottle to
Storm. All of a sudden Rhino appears in the corner!!! GORES STORM!!
Young covers him and scores the pinfall and the victory. Your
Winner: Eric Young

Against All Odds: Awesome Kong [c] vs. O.D.B. [TNA Knockout Women’s
Championship]

ODB introduced first. Kong next along with Raisha Saeed.

The two stare down. ODB shoves Kong. They grab each other by the hair.
ODB tries to slam Kong but can’t so she chops her instead. ODB to the
ropes, but Kong knocks her down. Outside Saeed is face to face with
ODB talking smack. ODB gets inside and tries to slam her but cannot.
Kong picks her up, float over, ODB sends her to the ropes and gets
clocked by Kong.

Kong sends ODB outside and pounds on her a bit. Back inside. Kong
plants ODB on the rope, ODB tries to hit a Dirty Dozen but cannot. ODB
runs to the ropes, tries a Thesz Press but Kong catches her and flings
her off. Kong goes for a powerbomb, float over. ODB dropkicks Kong,
and another and another. Kong still on her feet. ODB on the ropes and
she Thesz Presses her from the ropes. Two count only for ODB.

Kong clotheslines ODB, then hits the Implant Buster. Two count only as
ODB kicks out. Kong to the top rope. ODB tips up and then powerslams
her off. Only a two count though.

ODB grabs the flask and drinks. She charges Kong and clocks her, once
more. Now Saeed is on the apron. ODB pie faces her. Kong backslaps ODB
and then hits the Awesome Bomb. For the 1-2-3. Your Winner: Awesome
Kong




Against All Odds: Judas Mesias vs. Abyss [Barbed Wire Massacre]

We are taken to the iMPACT Zone for the barbed wire massacre match.
Judas Mesias is introduced first. Abyss introduced next. Both men are
in the ring and the two slowly circle. Judas shoves Abyss and they
break.

Abyss with a rear waist lock on Judas. Mesias tries to kick off the
barbed wire. HE spins around. Abyss pushes himself free. Mesias
dropkicks Abyss into the barbed wire.

Abyss then hoists Judas up and sends him across the barbed wire and
his under arm straddles it. Abyss is then drop toe held into the
barbed wire.

Mesias charges Abyss who puts up the big boot. He slides outside and
brings a barbed wire steel chair into the ring. He places it on the
chest of Judas Mesias then runs and straddles him, but Mesias turns
the chair upward and crotches Abyss. Mesias then clocks him with the
steel chair twice.

Mesias brings in a barbed wire covered board. Abyss slides outside
the ring. Judas rolls out after him, and bites the cut of Abyss. Abyss
flings Judas into the steel steps. Abyss sets up another barbed wire
board on the outside, propped up between the ring mat and the guardrail.

Abyss was about to powerbomb Mesias until James Mitchell interfered.
Abyss was about to Chokeslam Mitchell through the barbed wire when
Judas makes the save. Back inside the ring we go. Judas Mesias wraps a
piece of barbed wire around his fist and punches Abyss.

Mesias charges Abyss, gets a kick in the gut. Abyss tries to Chokeslam
him onto the barbed wire board, but he gets free. He charges Abyss and
gets pancaked into the barbed wire board chest-first.

Outside the ring now and Mesias is on the apron. Abyss reaches up and
Chokeslams him through the Barbed Wire Board. Abyss then turns
attention to James Mitchell, who runs into the ring. Abyss hits him
with a Black Hole Slam, but Mesias rolls back in and gets a Black Hole
Slam as well. Two count for Abyss.

Mesias spears Abyss through a barbed wire board that is propped up in
the corner. The two are on their knees in the center of the ring
exchanging blows now. Mesias up, he charges Abyss who Black Hole
Slams him into the barbed wire board on the mat for the three count
and the victory. Your Winner: Abyss

Against All Odds: Robert Roode vs. Booker T


Roode attacks Booker T as soon as he enters the ring. Booker turns it
into a Thesz Press and a barrage of punches. Booker in charge in the
corner with punches followed by a knee to the face. Sidewalk Slam by
Booker T. Outside now and Booker hoists up Roode and tosses him across
the guardrail throat-first. Short arm clothesline to follow by The
Booker Man.

Back inside the ring now and Booker hits a back kick followed by a few
knees to the head. Forearm shots now. Payton Banks in the ring now and
she is behind Booker. Booker suddenly turns and is about to his her
but holds up. That allows Roode to attack Booker T. Booker tries a
Book End but reversed, and a drop kick by Roode. Two count for Roode.

Booker hits a spin kick on Roode, whips him to the ropes, reversed by
Roode, and Booker hits a knee to the face. Roode charges and Booker
hits a big Spine Buster. Booker now does a Spin-a-Roonie and goes form
Roode who yanks Booker, and shoots him through the ropes to the
outside. Booker responds by tripping Roode from the outside and
crotching him around the ring post. Back inside now and Booker kicks
him to the back of the shin.

Robert Roode retreats up the aisle and to the backstage area. The
referee counts both men out. Your Winner: Double Count out The
two battle all the way to the backstage parking area. Roode pulls
Payton Banks out of the driver’s seat of the getaway car and speeds
away.


Against All Odds: Motor City Machine Guns & Jay Lethal vs. Team 3D
& Johnny Devine [Hardcore Street Fight]


The match starts quickly as The Machine Guns and Lethal attack Team 3D
and Devine upon their entrance. Lethal on Ray, Sabin on Devine and
Shelley on D-Von. It’s mayhem! Inside the ring Lethal off the ropes
with a double axe handle smash on Ray. Jabs on Ray and an elbow. Now
the Machine Guns are in and double Suplex Ray. Lethal has a sign that
says use my sign, and clocks Ray. He tears the paper off and it is a
street sign.

Simultaneously the Machine Guns and Lethal each pick a corner and
simultaneously slingshot to the outside on respective members of the
opposition. Machine Guns and D-Von/ Devine inside now. Now all six men
are inside. Lethal whips Devine to the ropes, he springs back to
reverse and is in the middle of the ring. Team 3d is individually
whipped to the center of the ring to sandwich Devine. Now all Three of
the X-Division stars are in a corner and they simultaneously hit
Spinning DDTs and all only get two counts.

The Machine Guns now send in a barrage of weapons including trashcans,
a kitchen sink, and a blow up doll. Simultaneous trash can shots on
Team 3D and Devine. Sabin grabs the sink and clocks Team 3D now.

Sabin and Shelley on the Backs of Team 3D. Somehow while in sleeper
holds Team 3D suplex Jay Lethal while The Machine Guns are on their
backs. Ray clocks Sabin with a trash can lid. Ray then Piledrives the
blow up doll. Devine clocks Lethal with a computer keyboard a-la New
Jack. The trash can set up in the middle of the ring and Devin
suplexes Lethal onto it. Two count for Devine.

The Machine Guns now attack Brother Ray as he was about to clock
Lethal with a Kendo Stick. Whips D-Von to the corner. Sabin with an
elbow, followed by Shelley. They then hit a Hi-Lo on D-Von and get a
two count out of it. Ray double clotheslines The Machine Guns from
behind as they whipped D-Von. Then a 3D on Sabin. Shelley now battles
but also gets a 3D. Lethal springboards in and connects with D-Von but
then Ray delivers a HUGE clothesline to Lethal.

Ray punches Lethal now and then clocks him with a board. Ray winds up
with a trash can as Lethal gives him the finger. Ray then clobbers
him. SoCal Val is on the apron now begging Ray to stop. Ray grabs her
by the hair and yanks her in. He goes to cheese grade her forehead
instead he licks her face. Lethal from behind kicks him and clocks him
with the cheese grader. Lethal hits a hurricanrada and then hits a
huge chairshot on Ray. Referee counts two and D-Von yanks the ref out.
Lethal quickly suicide dives to the outside onto D-Von. Then he back
body drops a charging Shelley. Quickly Lethal springboards inside and
dropkicks Ray and only gets a two count.

Lethal keeps the offense going with a Lethal Combination on Devine and
a two count. Superkick on D-Von, but now Ray hits a Full Nelson
Powerbomb on him from behind. Ray with a two count as Lethal barely
kicks out. D-Von sets up a table now/ Machine Guns are still nowhere
in sight. Lethal sent to the ropes. D-Von charges, Lethal dumps him to
the outside. Ray charges, Lethal hits an insiguri. Devine is up now,
sets up the table and swings the street sign. Misses and Lethal takes
the sign, ABSOLUTEL CLOCKS HIM with the sign, sending him onto the
table. Lethal hits a Flying Elbow Drop through the table and scores
the pinfall for the victory all on his own as the Machine Guns were
knocked out for the good part of the second half of the match. Your
Winner: Motor City Machine Guns and Jay Lethal


Against All Odds: Kurt Angle [c] vs. Christian Cage [TNA World
Heavyweight Championship Match w/ Special Enforcer Samoa Joe]

Samoa Joe introduced first as Special Guest Enforcer. Christian Cage
introduced second followed by Kurt Angle and company. We have our in-
ring introductions.

Joe exits the ring and we have a bell. The two circle the ring and
lock up. They get in a corner and break. Angle with a go behind and a
waist lock takedown. Angle gets to a vertical base and has a side
headlock applied. Off the ropes and shoulderblocks Cage and takes him
over in a headlock.

Two count for Angle. Back to a vertical base is Christian now who
sends Angle rope-to-rope, leapfrogs him once. Angle shoulderblocks
Cage down. Angle drops and elbow but Cage moves. Cage with a side
headlock takeover now. Angle gets up and Backdrop Suplexes him down
but Cage hangs on and keeps control of the Side Headlock. Both men up
now and the referee calls a break. Angle whips Cage to the corner, and
back to the Side Headlock Takeover for Cage.

Cage sends Angle to the ropes. Cage charges and Angle Belly-to-Bellys
Cage over head to the outside floor. Angle grabs a chair and Joe takes
it from him and throws it on the floor. Angle shoves him. Joe shoves
him back and drops him to the mat. Cage now takes advantage and clocks
Angle. Angle picked up Cage for an Angle Slam and backs him into the
ring post.

Angle hits Snake Eyes on Cage in the corner. In the ring Angle has a
body scissors on Cage who reverses it into a roll up. Two count. Angle
now hits a German, and hangs on. Cage turns it around and he hits a
back suplex over his head and flips Angle completely over, nearly
dropping him on his head. Cage now clotheslines Angle. Angle gets flap
jacked.

Cage hits a reverse X-Factor on Angle and floats over into the pin.
Two count for Cage. Cage goes to the top rope. Angle springs up for a
suplex but Cage bites him and shoves him off. Cage hits a Frogsplash
and gets a two count. Angle goes for an Angle Slam but Cage counters
with an arm drag and then sends Angle to the outside of the ring.
Angle trying now to German Cage from the ring apron, but Cage hangs on.

Angle somehow applies an Ankle Lock on the apron and takes Cage
through the ropes with it still applied. Angle goes for an Angle
Slam, but Cage floats over. Angle tries again and hits. Two count only!

Angle now goes for a Moonsault and leaps, but Cage rolls away. Cage on
the ropes now. Angle gets up and tries to leap up but Cage pushes him
off. Angle goes back to the well once more and hits a Fall Away Slam
on Cage from the top rope. Two count for Angle and now he is looking
in disbelief.

Out of nowhere Cage hits an Unprettier and covers…1…2….KICK OUT!
Angle kicks Cage in the gut and goes for a clothesline, Cage ducks but
the Referee is knocked out. Cage applies an Ankle Lock. Joe jumps in
as replacement referee. Joe asking Angle if he’s going to tap. Angle
crawls to the ropes and grabs the ropes. Karen grabs Kurt’s hands and
Cage yanks Angle back and drags Karen in. Joe says to Christian go do
what you want. Karen slaps Cage. Cage then pie faces her and threatens
to punch her. Angle charges Cage who moves and Angle hits Karen. Cage
rolls him up..1….2….KICK OUT by Angle. Joe now takes Karen Angle out
of the ring and carries her to a chair where he sits her down. AJ now
appears from the crowd. AJ is about to Springboard when Joe runs full
speed and grabs AJ’s foot keeping him from leaping in. Joe and AJ
battle into the crowd. Angle now gets a chair and gets in the ring.
Joe has taken aJ all the way out of the building. Angle winds up,
swings, Cage ducks. Cage now tries a shot but Angle moves. Angle gets
the chair and clocks Cage across the back. Referee still down. Here
comes Tomko who takes the chair from Angle and tosses it out. Angle
goes to punch Tomko but he holds up. Tomko pushes Angle off and then
Grabs Cage, and Death Valley Drivers Christian Cage to the mat, and
slides out of the ring, walking away. Angle looks with shock, crawls
over Cage and covers him. 1…2….3. Your Winner: Kurt Angle
