Teddy Long comes out and says that due to Vickie Guerrero's injury, he is in charge. Long announced that No Way Out will feature an Elimination Chamber match with Undertaker vs. Batista vs. MVP vs. Finlay vs. Great Khali vs. Big Daddy V to determine who will challenge for the WWE World championship at Wrestlemania 24.
Long announces Edge vs. Rey Mysterio at No Way Out as well. WWE World champion Edge comes out and says he won't wrestle Rey again after what he did. He'll wrestle anyone, but Rey, but Long tells him the match is official for the PPV.
In a rematch from the Royal Rumble with Ric Flair's career on the line, Flair defeated WWE United States champion MVP by DQ. Flair locked on the figure four but MVP reversed it, not realizing Flair was under the ropes. The referee counted five and DQ's MVP. MVP laid out Flair afterwards using the ring steps.
They show Flair in the back being looked over by officials.
Chuck Palumbo comes out and cuts a promo about the recent situation between he, Jamie Noble and Michelle McCool. Palumbo says he would never hurt McCool and that it was an accident. He blames Noble for the entire situation. He asks McCool to come out so he can apologize in person. She comes out and he does. McCool then tells Palumbo that she's tired of all his apologies and slaps him. Palumbo says that he's going to hurt Noble and make her watch..and it will be all her fault.
Rey Mysterio & CM Punk defeated ECW champ Chavo Guerrero & WWE World champion Edge when Punk pinned Chavo with the GTS. Very good match with the crowd into it bigtime.
Hornswoggle & Finlay defeated Deuce & Domino.
Dova Search 2007 winner Eve makes her Smackdown debut, interviewing Batista about the Elimination Chamber. Batista said he's been in the Chamber before and he's going to win and go on to win the World title at Wrestlemania.
In a backstage vignette, Jesse promises that Festus is a new man and says they will both be returning to Smackdown next week.
The Edgeheads (who had to re-film their entrance three times) defeated Shannon Moore & Jimmy Wang Yang.
The Undertaker & Kane defeated Mark Henry & Big Daddy V after Taker forced Henry to tap out to a submission hold.
