WWE News: WWE Releases Long-Time Writer, 58-Year-Old Announcer Hired, Greg Valentine

    -- WWE released Dave Lagana earlier today, who was a writer for the ECW brand. He joined ECW when Paul Heyman left in December 2006. Before joining ECW, he had a run as the head writer of SmackDown. Lagana was with the company for six years.

    -- WWE has hired former American Gladiators host Mike Adamle, 58, who appeared on the first run of the series. He will be a backstage announcer for the company. He will be making his debut this Sunday at the Royal Rumble. After that, he will be working the Raw brand. WWE announced the signing on the website. You can read an article on him at this link.
