William Regal VS Cody Rhodes (Royal Rumble Qualifying Match)
Really good crowd reaction for Cody. Great match, Regal is a ring general. Cody wins via roll-up, he qualified for the Royal Rumble.

Charlie Haas VS Ted DiBiase Jr.
Haas came out without the mask, during the match he went under the ring and came out with the mask. He pretty much dominated the match with the mask on. Ted took off the mask and beat him with the Million Dollar Dream.

Super Crazy VS Hafa Jr.
Hafa Jr. is a smaller version of Umaga. OK match, nothing special. Super Crazy won via Standing Moonsalt.

DH Smith & Atlas DeBone (w. Ashley)VS The Highlanders
DeBone is muscular, a little too hyper for my liking. The match was good, Atlas won the match with a double stomp to the back of the head of one of the Highlanders (he was bent down) followed by a big splash.

Trevor Murdoch VS Drew McIntyre
I really wanted to see McIntyre wrestle but this match was just a filler. Murdoch got himself disqualified, with a low blow.

Santino Marella came out and said he was happy to be in Jacksontown LOL. Open challenge to all the wrestlers in the back. Hardcore Holly came out as Marella’s opponent. It was a decent match, Santino has improved in the ring. Hardcore Holly won via the Alabama Slam.

Woman’s Championship Match
Beth Phoenix VS Mickie James
Mickie got a really good crowd reaction. It was a great match, a lot of false finishes and the crowd was really involved. Beth won via the Fisherman Cradle Suplex.

WWE Championship Match
Randy Orton VS Jeff Hardy
The crowd really hated Randy Orton but LOVED Jeff Hardy. All the kids and ladies were going crazy for Jeff. Both of them pulled off a great match, which lasted about 20-25 minutes. Great ending to the match, a lot of false finishes, reversals and all that. Randy Orton won via the RKO.

DX VS Snitsky & Umaga
Everybody went nuts for DX, by far the best reaction of the night. H and HBK follow with all the usual DX hijinks, some really funny stuff. The match started off and H got on the mic again, made some comments about Snitsky’s dental hygiene and started a ‘Brush your teeth’ chant. The match lasted for a while and was really good. DX wins with a Superkick/Pedigree combo on Umaga I believe.


To sum it all up, it was a really fun night. It was great to see the next generation of wrestlers, Cody Rhodes, Ted DiBiase Jr, Drew McIntyre, Atlas DeBone & DH Smith. Jacksonville really showed up, it was a great turn out, only a few open seats on the first level (I don’t believe they were selling any nosebleed tickets). The ring announcer mentioned that they need to do a LIVE RAW taping in J-ville.
