ECW on Sci-Fi
Tuesdays 10/9 CT
Live from Wilkes-Barre, Pa!
After the opening credits, we are told that there will be a dance off between Kelly and Layla later on tonight as well as a second chance for Chavo Guerrero as he takes on CM Punk for a number 1 contenders shot for the ECW World Championship
Camera leads us to Tony Chimmel who is standing in the ring. He sets the stage for us and states that the first match is the 15 Minutes of Fame match for the WWE Tag Team Championships. The rule is as follows: whichever team can score the most amount of victories within 15 minutes, will be crowned the tag team champions.
As the challengers, Yang & Moore head to the ring, we are shown a footage of 3 weeks ago when Yang pinned Miz to earn this title opportunity.
Match 1: 15 Minutes of Fame – Yang & Moore v. Morrison & Miz (Tag Team Titles)
As the match starts, Miz backs Moore to the corner and tries to get the early pin, but Moore tries reversing the maneuver and counters with a pin fall backslide of his own. Eventually, Miz isolates Moore in his corner and tags Morrison in who runs his kneecap right into the face of Moore. Morrison then applies a sleeperhold. Moments later, Moore counters a suplex and sends Morrison crashing into Miz knocking Miz off the apron in the process. Moore sees the opportunity and tags in Yang. Yang clotheslines and nails a leaping enzigiri to Morrison. He then proceeds to hit a crazy monkey flip where Morrison flips a full 360 degrees. Miz breaks the count at two and he and Morrison double team Yang, but Moore comes to the aid as he hits a flying hurrincanrana taking out the Miz. Seconds later, Yang attempts to hit his signature moonsault press, but Morrison moves and counters with an illegal pin grabbing the ropes. Unfortunately for Morrison, Moore breaks the count and Miz and Moore battle it out on the outside of the ring. After knocking down Moore, Miz proceeds to distract the referee and Yang attempts to call the referee over, but in the meantime, Morrison pulls Yangs tights and manages to score the first fall leading 1-0 at the 11:15 seconds mark.

Yang is in trouble as we come back and situation gets worse. Yang is tied in the Tree of Woe position. Morrison backs off and Miz illegally strikes at Yang. Morrison tries to hit a super backbreaker, but it is countered as Yang strikes with punches and kicks knocking Miz off the apron again. Yang nails a moonsault and ties the score at 1-1 at the 6:07 seconds mark. Miz is angry and once he is the legal man, he comes in and works on Yang’s leg as he applies a boston crab like maneuver. Morrison is tagged in and goes after Yangs leg as well as he uses the ropes for leverage and leaps onto Yangs hurt leg. About 2 minutes later, Miz smashes Yangs leg into the steel post and they continue to dominate. The two hit a nice double team move, but roughly at the 2:30 seconds mark, Yang somehow manages to tag in Moore. Moore immediately leaps off the top and takes down Morrison. It gets to the point where both Morrison and Miz are on the outside and Moore hits a flying senton two them followed by a Yang splash. 1:30 seconds left and in the ring, the legal men are Moore and Miz. Moore awaits Miz to make it to his feet and hits a neckbreaker, but Miz kicks out at 2. Moore then goes up and hits a corkscrew moonsault, but Miz kicks out again. Moore tags in Yang and they hit a botched fireman’s carry neckbreaker. 1, 2…No! Morrison puts Miz’s leg on the ropes and Moore goes after him. Yang hits a roundhouse kick and goes up top to hit his moonsault press and succeeds with 7 seconds left to spare. By the time he gets the cover, time is up.
Tony Chimmel lays out the detail that in the act of a tie, the champions retain there respective titles, therefore, still your tag team champions, Morrison & Miz
(Rating: 4/5. A very well designed tag team match. All four men put out one helluva match in the duration of the match and never let the audience get sidetracked. Aside from the one botched spot, the match was nearly perfect in every aspect of wrestling.)

Back in the ring we see Collin Delaney being interviewed by Tazz. Tazz asks Delaney how he feels about wrestling in the WWE. He says after losing to Benjamin & Big V, he is feeling very hurt. Tazz tells the audience to give him a round of applause, but instead he receives a mixed reaction. Tazz then informs Delaney that tonight Delaney will not be in action against an ECW superstar. Delaney appears to be relieved and is about to exit the ring, but Tazz calls him back and says however he will be in action with a SmackDown! superstar. Out comes Mark Henry and Delaney is shaking.
Match 2: Collin Delaney v. Mark Henry
Delaney throws a punch, but Henry grabs his hand and strikes with a massive headbutt. Henry then lifts Delaney up and hurls him down similar to a farewell type of move. Henry then pulls Delaney towards the corner and proceeds to hit a BONZAI drop! Delaney is on spaghetti legs as Henry picks him up and delivers a World Strongest Slam for the win. (Rating: 1/5. A simple boring squash match)

Kofi Kingston promo airs reminding you that there is trouble in paradise.
Tazz & Styles lets us know that you can go online and check out which superstars have qualified for the Royal Rumble Match over on WWE.com.
Diva search runner-up and SmackDown! newest announcer, Lena Yada is standing in the middle of the ring. She states that she will be hosting the Diva Dance off between Kelly & Layla. Kelly who looks amazing comes down to the ring to a great ovation from the crowd. Layla then makes her way down to the ring sadly to a limited reaction from the crowd. The rules are that each diva will have 30 seconds to out-perform their opponent. Both ladies dance off to Timbalands “Throw it on Me.” Layla uses the ropes and ends her dance off with the splits. Kelly is up next and dances alongside the ropes as well until she goes to the turnbuckle and rips off her top and dances the rest of the time in her bra & panties. Crowd is crazy for Kelly. Lena is about to reveal the winner, but alerts us that there is still one more diva who is left in the Dance Off…Lena Yada herself. She dances quite badly if you ask me, but eventually names herself the winner as Kelly and Layla look startled.
CM Punk is shown in the back and he is about to make his way down to the ring.

A promo airs stating that the WWE world will be altered forever as they are preparing us for WWE in HD! ECW will be in HD in two weeks!
RAW Rebound is shown
Shelton Benjamin is in the back and he says that it is time for him to get dirty. He says he digged his way through and pulled out a golden nugget when he received his Royal Rumble opportunity. He then states that after he wins, he will wear championship gold at WrestleMania and there ‘ain’t no stopping him now.’
Chavo Guerrero comes out to a series of boos. Punk comes out next to a good reaction from the audience. As the two are in the ring, the trash talking already starts.
Match 3: Chavo Guerrero v. CM Punk
Lockup between the two as the match gets underway and Punk eventually armdrags Chavo down. He backs off and we have another staredown between the two men. This time, Chavo locks Punk in a headlock, but it is reversed and Punk manages to judo flip Chavo. After a bit more mat wrestling, Punk finds himself trapped in a headlock scissors. “Punk” chants already start and he breaks out of the submission hold with a dropkick to the head of Chavo. Moments later, Chavo is back in control and hits a few European uppercuts and bodyslams Punk right in the middle of the ring. As Chavo picks Punk back up, Punk somehow hits an enzigiri and sends Chavo to outside as we go to break.

(During the break, Chavo guillotines Punk onto the ropes and thrusts him towards the barricade)
Chavo has and abdominal stretch applied to Punk. Chavo then kicks the grounded Punk and locks in armbar like submission hold. Punk however quickly reverses it into a rollup, but Chavo kicks out and immediately knocks down Punk with a clothesline and proceeds to hit a gutbuster. Chavo goes for the pin, but Punk kicks out at 2. About a minute later, Chavo locks in a body scissors, but the crowd really gets behind Punk and Punk counters the body scissors into a catapult to the outside of the ring. Acting as a projectile, Punk launches himself out of the ring and takes down Chavo. Punk throws Chavo back in the ring and hits his signature flying clothesline from the corner. Punk decides to not to go for the pin and successfully hits a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. Punk then sets Chavo up in the corner and hits his knee to the face followed by a bulldog and pin. After Chavo kicks out of the pinning situation, Chavo grabs and sends Punk to the corner and attempts the 3 amingos. After the second suplex, Punk counters and has Chavo in position of the GTS, but Chavo counters that into a backbreaker. With Punk holding his back lying on the mat, Chavo goes to the Turnbuckle and removes the soft padding exposing the steel. The referee sees it and immediately goes to cover it back up. In the meantime, Chavo grabs a steel chair and is about to hit Punk, but the referee takes that away from him and calls for the DQ. (Rating: 3/5. Once again a good performance between the two superstars. I guess this feud will somehow continue leading up to a title match at the Royal Rumble.)
Post-Match: Chavo is irate and tries to explain it to the referee. As Chavo turns around, Punk lifts him up and hits the GTS as ECW comes to a close.
Quick Match Results:
-15 Minutes of Fame: Morrison & Miz vs. Moore & Yang end in a tie. (1-1)
-Mark Henry def. Collin Delaney.
-CM Punk defeats Chavo via DQ.
Highlight of the Night: 15 Minutes of Fame
Tonight’s ECW was good with the exception of the Big V squash and the Diva Dance Off. At least having another diva between Layla and Kelly will keep the storyline going I guess. The Punk/Chavo rivalry is developing which is good and I can still see a few more matches left between Morrison/Miz/Moore/Yang as their match was outstanding. 5.5/10.
