WWE House Show Results from Johnstown, Pennsylvania 1-6-08

Teddy Long comes out and announces Vickie Guerrero
won't be there tonight.

First match of the evening, Jamie Noble defeated Deuce
with a roll up. Domino and Cherry were not there.

Second match would see participants enter the Royal
Rumble. John Morrison and the Miz retained and qualify
over Shannon Moore & Jimmy Wang Yang. Best match of
the night.

Third match of the evening, saw Charles Evans beat
Kenny Dykstra with a roll up.

Fourth match, Kofi Kingston defeated Kevin Thorn with
a roll up. Kofi Kingston doesn't have much substance,
tons of dropkicks, roll ups, flips, and crossbody
blocks. Basically offense that would be used by a
beginning, think Maven meets K-Kwik Ron Killings.
Thorn threw a temper tantrum

Match five, Shelton Benjamin & Elijah Burke beat Tommy
Dreamer and Nunzio. Nunzio gets throttled the whole
match makes the tag to Dreamer. Dreamer cleans house
and clotheslines Burke over the top rope. Nunzio goes
for a sunset flip, Benjamin counters it into a
powerbomb into the turnbuckle and hits a downward
spiral for the pin.

Sixth match is for the United States title, Finlay
wins by DQ as MVP brings in the Shillelagh, Finlay
gets it, the ref takes it and then MVP smacks Finlay
with the U.S. Championship. The ref rings the bell.

Intermission

Seventh match saw Nattie Neidhart against Victoria
with Kelly Kelly as referee. Kelly Kelly assisted
Nattie Neidhart with a win over Victoria after
Victoria shoved Kelly Kelly.

CM Punk beat Chavo to retain the ECW title. Chavo was
given mic time which was brutal and the crowd was
behind Punk. Punk won with the GTS.

Main Event was Edge against Batista. Edge won after
the former Major Brothers attacked Batista. Batista
speared the one and gave the other a spinebuster, both
moves he used multiple times. One of the Edgeheads
gave Edge the belt to hit Batista with. Batista went
for the Batista Bomb and Edge smashed him in the head
with the belts.

Good show, all matches, little talking. I'd love to
trade in seeing Kelly Kelly, Nunzio, CM Punk, Kofi
Kingston, and Charles Evans to see Big Daddy V, Khali,
Rey Jr., Mark Henry, Domino and Cherry. I suppose it
just wasn't meant to be.
