WWE News: Raw In HD Update, Jericho Says He Didn't Miss Wrestling, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin Appearance

-- According to a source, the original plan called for Raw in HD to be launched when the USA Network HD channel launched a few weeks ago. Obviously, it didn't fall through, but the current plan calls for Raw in HD to be launched by the end of the month. The Raw HD launch will likely occur the night after the Royal Rumble PPV in NYC, which will be the company's first HD PPV broadcast.

-- "Stone Cold" Steve Austin is scheduled to make an appearance at the Extreme Monster Truck Nationals in Las Vegas on Friday, January 4. The Las Vegas FOX affiliate is doing a competition for fans to bring an item to the show for Austin to destroy.

-- The Poughkeepsie Journal has an article on Chris Jericho at this link. In the article Jericho says that he didn't miss much about wrestling while he was gone except some of his peers. He definitely didn't miss the schedule, and he got his live interaction with crowds doing comedy and music. Jericho said either "go hard or go home" if you choose to involve yourself in wrestling.

-- Florida Championship Wrestling & WWE developmental wrestler Sheamus O'Shaunessy made an appearance in the movie "The Escapist." It will premiere at the Sundance Film Festival on January 21.
