Hello and welcome to the last WWE Smackdown of the year. Tonight’s edition of Smackdown is dedicated to all of the greatest matches of 2007. So it is my pleasure to give you the greatest matches of 2007.
The show begins with Michael Cole greeting us to the show and tells us that tonight is the night where we see all of the greatest matches of 2007.
He then states that the number 5 greatest match of the year is the Money in the Bank ladder match held at Wrestle mania.
Greatest match #5: Money in the Bank ladder match at Wrestlemania. April 1, 2007
Mr. Kennedy vs. Edge vs. CM Punk vs. King Booker (w/Queen Sharmell) vs. Jeff Hardy vs. Matt Hardy vs. Finlay vs. Randy Orton.
The match begins with every combatant matching up against another one. Eventually they all made their way out of the ring with the exception of Finlay who was on the top rope and did a flying cross body and knocks everyone out. The match then continues with edge trying to climb the ladder to his success but his road quickly turned into a bumpy one when Matt Hardy put a stop to him. Randy Orton then tried to climb the ladder for his so called destiny only to be stopped by Finlay who climbs the ladder to stop his destiny from catching up to him. Outside the ring Matt and Randy get into a fist fight.
The match then further skips into where Edge is suplexing Matt into the ladders. The match then turns to Kennedy who is on the top rope as Jeff on the ladder below him. Kennedy goes for his Kenton Bomb but misses and takes all the damage. Jeff and Matt both together work as a team with a ladder and start to knock the off all the competitors out of the match. Matt then sets up the ladder and tries to go for the win. Jeff doesn’t accept this and goes up the ladder himself and starts to go into a fist fight on top of the ladder. This was quickly ended when Finlay knocks them both off the ladder. Finlay then clotheslines every competitor that stood in his path when suddely Edge comes with a spear out of nowhere. Quickly Edge mangages to hit spear after spear on everything that moved in that ring. Edge then sees Punk in the corner and attempts to spear him. Punk with quick haste jumped out of the way and Edge spears the ring post. Punk then lives up to the word extreme when he places a ladder on his head and starts to spin around knocking competitor after competitor out. Edge making a quick recovery spears Punk who still has the ladder on his head knocking out 2 other competitors. Match continues further and we see Edge on the ladder. Randy quickly knocks him off and Edge ends up outside the ring with his old friend Matt. Matt takes advantage of a wounded Edge and sets him up on a ladder which was placed on the barricade. Jeff in the ring climbs the ladder and Matt wants Jeff to dive out and take care of Edge. Jeff decides to leg drop Edge from the 20 foot ladder to Edge outside the ring. Eliminating Jeff and Edge out of the match.

We come back with Punk climbing both ladders. Orton sees this and rushes towards the ladders and battles Punk ontop of them. Orton eventually gets Punk with a super RKO off the ladder onto the mat below. King Booker come into the ring and climbs the ladder of oppurtunity. Randy yet again goes on the top and battles it out with Booker. Randy attempts to do another super RKO but King Booker powers out of it and does a super Bookend off the ladder. Match continues to the point where Finlay is in the ring all by himself setting up the ladder. Then suddenly Finlay’s little friend Hornswoggle comes to the ring to assist Finlay by climbing the ladder to get the suitcase hanging above. All of a sudden Kennedy comes rushing to the ring and climbs the ladder. Hornswoggle sees this and slaps Kennedy. Kennedy not to pleased set up little Hornswoggle for a Kenton Bomb off of the ladder. Finlay not to happy of what just happened throws the ladder at Kennedy. Finlay goes for the suitcase but from the side angle we see the extremist C.M Punk on the top rope. Punk then missle drop kicks the ladder and down goes the irishman Finlay. Punk quickly gets to his feet and climbs the ladder. Kennedy gets back into the ring and gets the other ladder. Kennedy then chunks the ladder in C.M Punks face and down goes the ECW extremist. Kennedy sees his oppurtinity and climbs the ladder and pulls the ultimate prize off the hook and celebrates in the ring.
