Terry "Hulk Hogan" Bollea told a St. Petersburg Times reporter that he had no idea his wife Linda filed for divorce.
After receiving correspondence for an interview, Hogan demonstrated no knowledge of Linda's Tuesday divorce filing and told the reporter, "Thank you for the great information."
He later called back, adding, "You caught me off-guard. My wife has been in California for about three weeks. ... Holy smokes. Wow, you just knocked the bottom out of me. ... I just pulled over to the side of the road for five minutes to find out what was going on here."
He declined comment on whether he and his wife had previously discussed divorce.
Terry and Linda, who married in 1984, had two children—Brooke and Nick—together. Their family has been featured on VH1 reality series "Hogan Knows Best" since 2005.
