As noted earlier, Brian Knobbs and Jerry Sags reunited once again as The Nasty Boys to wrestle at last night's SmackDown/ECW tapings in Tampa, Florida. This was their first match in a WWE ring in over 14 years. However, the dark match featuring the former WWF and WCW World Tag Team Champions has left a ton of heat on them both after their conduct.

The Nasty Boys behaved as if they were huge stars returning and took far too much time to get to into the ring, interacting with friends and family members sitting at ringside. Knobbs entered the ring with his back to the hard camera while partner Sags got into the ring way to close to their opponents Drew McIntrye and Dave Taylor, "leaving them looking like idiots" according to one source.

Once the match commenced, The Nasty Boys started working stiff on the 21 year old Drew McIntyre. McIntyre tried to be respectful and take the abuse but he finally had enough and started returning some stiff shots of his own. The Nasties also took liberties on the Dave Taylor, a respected veteran. One WWE performer said that the dark match was one of the worst things that you could ever hope to see.

As if that isn't enough, the match almost caused the live broadcast of ECW on Sci Fi to disrupt because it took too long. The SmackDown taping didn't end until 9:54 p.m., leaving the ring crew only 6 minutes to change over the set before ECW went live.
