For those wondering, WWE’s production crew had a shoot in Naples, Florida over the weekend. Production crews were shooting footage, featuring a majority of the WWE roster, for the openings for WWE program, all in High-Definition format. Along with video footage, they also had photo shoots for material that would also be used for HD-TV broadcasts.

WWE officials have been testing the implementation of High-Definition broadcasting for well over the past year. During the annual stockholders meeting, Vince McMahon was asked when the company would move in to HD broadcasting. Vince predicted that they would be HD compatible within the year.

An actual date on when all shows will broadcast in HD has yet to be confirmed. However, SmackDown is expected to make the transition by January of 2008.
