WWE House Show Results from Glasgow, Scotland 10-19-07

I was at the Glasgow house show for Smackdown here are the results. Full house, good atmosphere, and an abundance of Woo chants before the show began.

The Fink was our ring announcer.

Match 1
Deuce and Domino vs Jesse and Festus
Decent match, Jesse was involved most of the match, eventually being worn down by D & D, made the hot tag for Festus who destroyed the two heels, Jess won with a Headbutt from the top rope. 5/10


Match 2
John Morrison vs ?
Me and my mates gave Johnny boy a good cheer, mostly boo's though. He was fighting against a guy whose name I never caught. He looked like a cross between Chris Jericho (remember him) and Kid Kash. He got some decent offense in, so I assume he is going to be debuted on ECW shortly. Morrison got the pin after about 8 minutes, very decent match. 7.5/10


Match 3
Dave Taylor vs Chuck Palumbo
Decent heat for Taylor as he started to shoot on us Scots (we don't like the English that much). Palumbo won after about 5 - 6 minutes. After the match he pulled a Scottish flag out from the crowd, and got a nice little cheap pop. So so match, with the veteran Taylor putting in a decent peformance against the out of date Palumbo. 5/10


Match 4
Michelle McCool and some random vs Victoria and some random
Quick Diva tag match where the faces got the victory. McCool's tag partner was lush. 4/10


Match 5
Kane vs Kevin Thorn
Last match before the interval. Decent (for what it was). Two big men went at it for only 3 minutes. Kane picked the win up due to a chokeslam. I think it looks like he is on ECW now. 3/10

Match 6
CM Punk vs Matt Stryker and Big Daddy V
Punk came out too a massive cheer. It was basically a single match with Stryker acting as a cheerleader on the sideline. Big Daddy V got the pin within 6 minutes or so (clean). CM Punk nursed those injuries good, but acknowledged my mate Joe who has met him numerous times when he was in ROH and the indies, there both straight edge superstars. 4.10



Match 7
Rey Mysterio vs Jamie Noble
Good little match. Plenty of back and forward action. Reminded me a lot of Mysterio around 2002/2003, as this was the type of opponent he was up against, he finally landed the 619 at the third attempt. 8/10


Match 8
Finlay/MVP/Khali vs Taker/Batista/Matt Hardy
Marked out for MVP. Love the guy he is gold. Hornswaggle was involved in the match. He was brought to the ring after Punk match. Khali was scarcely involved. Taker was getting right involved, cheering stomping his foot, very Untakerlike. Faces win when UT pins Finlay with Tombstone. Easy as that around 13 minutes. Taker makes a quick exit, and Matt and Big Dave pose for about 10 minutes, the crowds were heading home. 6/10
