Quick write-up of the Smackdown/ECW House show in Manchester I just got back from.

Outside, in the lobby, during intermission and for about an hour before the
show started, the entire place was in a complete frenzy of "wooo" - Shame
really as Flair wasn't on the show.

Show opened with some music, followed by a 40 second or so light show with
some pyro. Howard Finkle announcing, welcomed everyone to the show and
pretty much just hammed it up to the crowd. Finkle got a good reception and
    enjoyed his pop.

Finkle then introduced Estrada who came to the ring. After insulting
Manchester he announced a main event of The Great Khali, Finlay and MVP vs.
Batista, The Undertaker and Matt Hardy.

Opening Bout: Deuce & Domino vs. Jesse & Festus
Not a bad match, crowd seemed very behind it, Deuce & Domino's entrance
    seemed uncoordinated.
    Winners: Jesse & Festus

    John Morrison vs. Random Jobber
I can't remember the guy's name. When he came out he had utter silence from
a half confused half careless crowd. At the end of the match he got a good
applause however, as he put on a good match.
    Winner: John Morrison

WWE Diva Tag Match: Maryse & Michelle McCool vs. Victoria & "Dark Hair
    Diva(?)"

Sort of went to the concessions during this match so I can't comment too
much on it. I'm afraid I forgot the second Diva with Victoria. I know that
the crowd where cheering Michelle McCool's team a lot and booing Victoria.
    Winners: Maryse & Michelle McCool

    Dave Taylor vs. Chuck Palumbo.

Dave Taylor came out first to a mixed reaction, which turned to total boos
after he got on the microphone and started insulting everyone. Palumbo did
the full entrance with the bike, which was pretty awesome.

    Winner: Chuck Palumbo.

    Kevin Thorn vs. Kane.

Kevin Thorn's entrance was pretty cool and he got a good reaction. After a
short pause Kane's pyro went off and the building went completely nuts.
Nobody expected it and it was a damn loud pop indeed from where I was
sitting. A Thorn / Kane fued might be intresting.

    Winner: Kane

Intermission. Howard Finkle tried to shill some merchandise, for which he
got booed fairly badly. We were shouting pro-finkle remarks to try keep his
spirit up, he's only doing his job. =P

    Rey Mysterio vs. Chris Masters

Chris came out first to a pretty cool entrance, with the sparkle pyro. Loved
his flexing, made me laugh. Mysterio came out to a HUGE ovation. Before the
match started Masters tried to intimidate Mysterio, and Mysterio started
doing Eddie style taunts, at which point we started a good Eddie chant which
was a good moment. 619 chants throughout most of the match with the crowd
    hot as hell for Mysterio.
    Winner: Rey Mysterio.

Non Title Match: CM Punk vs. Big Daddy V and Matt Striker
CM Punk got a good reaction and quite a few CM punk chants got started, but
no where near Rey's level. Punk and Striker went back and forth before
Striker got a tag and Big Daddy V more or less killed CM Punk. Punk sold it
well and was carried to the back by several referees. Applause for CM Punk
    as he left.
Winners: Big Daddy V and Matt Striker

Main Event Six Man Tag: The Great Khali, Finlay and MVP vs. Batista, The
    Undertaker and Matt Hardy.

Batista's entrance was more or less equal to Undertaker's in terms of crowd
reaction. Batista had possibly the best overall pop however as the crowd
went nuts for him after he was in the ring. Matt Hardy got a fairly good pop
also. Khali was booed, however in our section we tried to get a few "Khali
Sindabad" chants going for no good reason. Towards the end of the match
Finlay pulled out Hornswoggle from under the ring, to which he got a huge
reception. Undertaker went to Tombstone Finlay but botched it, surprisingly,
with the moment going so fast the crowd didn't even react to it. They
instantly did the Tombstone again properly to which the crowd went crazy.
    Taker then won by pinfall.
Winners: Undertaker, Batista and Matt Hardy.

Undertaker left first. Matt Hardy then had Batista doing Hardy Boys style
poses with him in the ring before he left. Batista then hammed the crowd up
for about 10 minutes, point left and right and generally looking like a real
ego-centric ass, to me at least. A lot of kids stayed to see his pointing
spectacle but a lot of the arena filed out.

Howard Finkle thanked us and the show ended.
