WWE House Show Results from Cardiff, Wales 10-17-07

    Full house tonight, approx 2000-3000 people. Tony Chimmel on announcing duties, advised this would be a Raw, ECW and Smackdown event.

    Opening match William Regal vs Super Crazy w/ Hacksaw Jim Duggan. Regal puts down crowd before match to draw heat (for those that don't know, the Welsh and English have a huge rivalry). Hacksaw and Crazy come to ring with USA and Welsh flags. Good back and forth match. Crazy wins after Regal attempts suplex from apron, and Hacksaw trips Regal. Snitsky beats down Crazy and Hacksaw in aisle after match.

    Match 2: Tommy Dreamer vs Elijah Burke. Dreamer wins with DDT - Burke is impressive live!

    Match 3: Miz vs Balls Mahoney. Mahoney wins after good back and forth match - Miz looked good tonight, whatever training he's getting is working!

    Match 4: World Tag Team title match. Cade & Murdoch vs Hardcore Holly & Cody Rhodes. Huge pop for Holly. Rhodes played face in peril for most of the match, before Holly came in and cleaned house. Finish came when Cade hit his spine buster move on Rhodes. After Holly looked annoyed with Rhodes, but seemed to calm down (Me and my friend took great delight in starting a "Get a tan" chant whenever Murdoch got the tag)

    Match 5: Harry Smith vs Carlito. Smith started by introducing himself as Davey Boy's son, which got huge crowd reaction. Smith wins with running powerslam. Good, solid match - Harry is so much like his father in the ring.

    Interval.

    Santino comes out to intorduce Diva best body competition. Advises Maria should be here, but is too hot. Divas competing are Layla El, Kelly Kelly and Candice Michelle. Layla gets fair pop from home crowd, followed by bigger pop for Kelly Kelly, followed by HUGE pop for Candice. Candice is declared winner. Beth Pheonix comes out, beats down Candice and then beats ECW girls. Talks about being the Glamazon and giving us value for our dollars (we have pounds in UK). Candice strips Beth, then throws her out of ring.

    Match 6: Ken Kennedy vs Val Venis. Kennedy draws cheap heat by insulting crowd. Goes to do mic thing, only to stop as crowd shout his name before him. Kennedy wins with Green Bay Packer. Val seemed to injure his leg, got good pop on leaving ring.

    Main event: Umaga & WWE Champ Randy Orton vs Intercontinental Champ Jeff Hardy & Triple H. Crowd went wild for Hardy & HHH. Solid match from top athletes. Huge pop for Hardy's swanton. Hardy played face in trouble most of match. HHH got win with pedigree on RKO.

    No HBK or CM Punk tonight, or Smackdown superstars. Overall, good show, well worth the money.
