ECW is held tonight at Detroit, Michigan: Joe Louis Arena
    Tuesday 10/9 CT
Tonight ECW opens up with the No Mercy recap of C.M Punk vs. Big Daddy V and how C.M Punk has gotten disqualified and was brutally beaten after the match.

-“Don't Question My Heart” Video plays as Tazz and Styles introduce us to ECW on Sci-Fi.

The Main event is scheduled to be C.M Punk vs. John Morrison.

Big Daddy V intro music plays in a mini screen on the titantron and he states how he will dominate his opponent tonight like he did with C.M Punk at No Mercy.

    -Tommy Dreamer intro plays-
Match 1: Big Daddy V v. Tommy Dreamer
Big Daddy V starts dominating the first part of the match and gives Dreamer a little chance to fight back as he presses all of his weight against Tommy Dreamers chest in the corner. Big Daddy V continues his rampage outside the ring using the mat to slam Dreamer’s head to cause more damage. Dreamer starts to build momentum and goes to the top rope but gets thrown down by Big Daddy V. Big Daddy V signals the V and presses his elbow for the 1-2-3.(Rating-1.5 This match ended too quickly as it made Dreamer look too much of a jobber. It was dragged, but once again told a story of Big Daddy V's dominance.)
    Winner-Big Daddy V

Joey Styles and Tazz announce Balls Mahoney vs. The Miz later on tonight.

    -Commercial-

Kevin Thorn’s intro plays as he makes his way down to the ring.Announcer states his opponent is James Curtis a.k.a K.C. James (Taking the role of a jobber)

Match 2: Kevin Thorn vs. James Curtis
The Match starts with James Curtis taking the early lead with a dropkick from the top rope but is quickly his momentum drops when Kevin Thorn quickly gets back into the game. Thorn throws Curtis into the ring post and quickly works on his back by using the ring ropes to stretch out Curtis’s back. Thorn starts throwing some punches and kicks in the corner, but Curtis comes back with some kicks and punches of his own. Thorn attepmts a torture rack, but Curtis isn't holding on to Thorns arm thus making it difficult for Thorn to follow through with the manouver. Eventually, Thorn gets the upper hand and it leads him to getting the win with the Dark Kiss for the 1-2-3.
(Rating 2.0 Match looked decent with the two going back and back but there was really a lack of excitement that the crouds expressed. Not too bad though.)
    Winner-Keven Thorn

-Video of last weeks Balls Mahoney and Miz fued plays

-We cut backstage with Miz and Kelly Kelly. Miz asks how can she fall for a guy like Balls Mahoney. He orders Kelly that she better be in his corner throughout the entire match.

    -Commerical-

    -Condemned video package plays-

-Miz and Kelly Kelly enter the arena. (No Layla or Brooke). Balls Mahoney's intro plays and Kelly Kelly is shown cheering him on.
Match 3: Miz v. Balls Mahoney
Match begins with Miz taking the lead, but Mahoney comes back with a deadly clothesline and irish whips him onto the corner. Miz quickly retaliates and takes advantage of Balls by pounding Mahoney when he’s on the ropes and jumps over the ropes the pull his head down to chock him. Miz goes for the pin but only gets a two count Miz tries to keep the pressure going but Balls comes back. Miz gets out of the ring and Balls goes after him but is distracted by Kelly and Miz takes advantage and knocks him over the announce table to knock him out for a ring out count.(Rating 2.5 really went well for an ECW match and by far the best match of the night but still ended too quickly)
    Winner-Miz
Post match- Miz teases Kelly with the Mahoney bear and quickly kicks it into the crowd. Kelly goes to Mahoney’s aide.

-Morrison Video shown with the C.M Punk rivalry-

-A recap of last nights Raw is shown where HBK made his triumphant return and super kicked Orton. (I was shocked to see HBK return. Hopefully this is a sign of good things to come for RAW)

-More promo is shown advertising Cyber Sunday. The fans get to choose who Orton will defend the title against. The choices are Kennedy, Hardy, and HBK.

Morrison is introduced first as we go to another.

    -Commercial-

We return back to ECW and Punk enters to a standing ovation.

Match 4 (Main Event): Morrison v. Punk.
Punk has taped ribs and the match begins with multiple kicks from Punk to Morrison. After a beat down, Morrison retaliates with a hard kick to Punks upper abdomen. Moments later, Punk nails a dropkick to the back of Morrisons head followed by a modified double arm backbreaker. Punk goes on to clothesline Morrison to the outside of the ring. Punk attempts a leap frog, but Morrison dodges it and Punk barely manages to land on his feet. Punk then tries to suplex Morrison, however Morrison counters and hits a suplex on Punk right on the steel steps! As we go to our final break.

Back, Punk is locked into a submission hold as Morrison continues to work on Punks taped ribs with a series of knee strikes. Morrison slaps Punk, but only to motivate Punk and Punk strikes back at Morrison with a dropkick sending him out of the ring. Morrison is brought back in the ring and Punk sets up Morrison for the usual knee to the face. Punk connects but Morrison kicks out at 2. Morrison rolls behind Punk and kicks Punk in the back of the head. Morrison goes up to the top rope, but Punk catches Morrison in position of the GTS. Morrison counters, but is eventually knocked out after an enziguri from Punk. Both men down for quite some time. This time Punk goes up on top, but is tripped as Morrison nails an inverted superplex for the win. (Rating: 2.5. A decent main event for the evening. What kept this match from receiving a 3 was the slow pace of the match. Punk over-soled his taped ribs which resulted in a moderate reaction from the fans. It is no doubt that these men have had better matches in the past. Today’s match was simply to put Morrison over since he is back from his sabbatical.)

Post Match: Morrison celebrates in his victory.

    Quick Match Results:
-Big Daddy V defeats Tommy Dreamer
    -Kevin Thorn defeats. James Curtis
    -Miz defeats Mahoney
    -Morrison defeats Punk

Highlight of the Night: Punk v. Morrison

Tonights ECW was a below to average show with two low rating matches and two decent matches. It’s great to see Morrison back as it adds another heel to challenge Punk for the moment. This rivalry won’t last too long. Like I mentioned last week, this roster needs to expand. As for the show, I’ll give it a 4.5/10 and call it a night.

Tonight’s report (first half of the ECW broadcast) is called by my friend Chris who took the time to fill in for my absence. I was out due to personal reasons, but managed to make it back in time for the last half hour. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to email me, MIK, at akbarsaadi@yahoo.com

Be sure to check back next week as the chase for Punk’s title continues.

    Night!
