Hey everyone, I was on my way home off work after 6 and about 6:30 my engine on my truck went out. I called my Father and he didn't get there until 7:15. We put a new battey in and we finished about 8. I didn't get home until 8:30 and it was too late to order the PPV. Here's the WWE.COM report. Have a good week and see you all for Cyber Sunday, Jason

World Heavyweight Champion Batista defeated The Great Khali in a Punjabi Prison Match to retain the title
If ever a specialty contest seemed dreadfully well-suited for a WWE pay-per-view called No Mercy, it’s the Punjabi Prison Match. And clearly, there was no bigger favorite to win inside this chamber of horrors Sunday night than the 7-foot-3, 420-pound Punjabi colossus, The Great Khali.
Nevertheless, even with the odds stacked way too high against him, World Heavyweight Champion Batista literally launched himself to victory, and proved once and for all why you should never lock an Animal inside a cage.
Neither twin bamboo cages nor more than 1,500 feet of twine would keep Batista bound to the horrific confines of the Punjabi Prison. Though he had never experienced the bamboo hell before, none among the Allstate Arena’s capacity crowd could have blamed The Animal if the Prison had proved beyond even his amazing capabilities. This match was supposed to be a home-grown specialty of the Punjabi colossus, who alone on most nights is more than enough to deal with. Yet Batista conquered all these insurmountable obstacles the way he always does: As a champion.
Of course, to report that the usually dominant Animal outright dictated this contest would be untrue. In fact, it appeared that The Great Khali might first scale over the 20-foot exterior cage, the final obstruction that kept the outside floor – and victory – out of his ungodly reach. And that was after watching Batista and Khali already batter each other senseless, to the point where neither man could prevent any of the four trapdoors around the 16-foot inner structure from being padlocked by officials.
Shortly before the match, the giant had prayed to the most evil of Hindu gods for support, and translator Ranjin Singh swore that The Great Khali would rise above Batista and the Prison barriers to become World Heavyweight Champion once more. Those words undoubtedly echoed in The Animal’s head – despite suffering the effects of the Khali Vise Grip, or laying motionless after a 10-foot plunge to the canvas – as his glazed eyes focused long enough to see that Khali had climbed over the inner structure, and began making his ascent toward the exterior cage’s spike-sharpened peak.
Throughout his career, The Animal has been known primarily for his phenomenal strength and undaunted will. Yet Batista shocked our fans around the world as he quickly climbed the top of the 16-foot inner cage, then catapulted himself from one bamboo structure to the other. Seeing Batista barely make it, the Allstate Arena crowd must have wondered if the behemoths’ combined weight – more than 700 pounds – might force the Prison walls to collapse. Yet no other exit meant no other recourse… which in turn meant no holding back from either champion or challenger as they practically repelled down the wall to the outside floor.
It was a matter of instants that separated the two men’s feet from touching the ground, though our jubilant fans knew even before the official announcement was made that Batista was victorious. For once, The Great Khali, despite his great size and strength, had come up a little bit short…and the horror chamber known as a Punjabi Prison could not keep The Animal away from his championship prize.
Beth Phoenix defeated Women's Champion Candice Michelle to win the title
The wait is over for Beth Phoenix. The overwhelming size and strength of the Glamazon could be denied no longer. In front of a capacity crowd at the Allstate Arena, Phoenix defeated Candice Michelle, obliterating any doubts about her dominance and emerging victorious in her drive to capture the Women’s Championship.
Despite throwing every ounce of energy she had at the Glamazon, former Women’s Champion Candice Michelle simply could not overcome the size and strength advantage enjoyed by Phoenix, who pinned the Candy-coated Diva after a powerful cradle suplex.
For weeks, critics wondered whether or not Phoenix had the ability to capitalize on her strengths. Some even raised the question of performance anxiety to explain away Phoenix’s loss at Unforgiven, when she let the gold slip through her crushing fingers at the last minute. But after weeks of speculation that she wasn’t living up to her potential, the Glamazon silenced any critics on Sunday night.
“I am the most perfect being on the face of the earth,” Phoenix declared in a post-match interview. “I have ushered in the era of the Glamazon!”
Rey Mysterio and Finlay fought to a No Contest
Being a wily veteran, Finlay knows just about every trick in the book. But while his match with Rey Mysterio at No Mercy was No Contest, the irate Irishman may have added a new chapter to that already lengthy tome.
After being brutally ambushed by Finlay two weeks in a row on SmackDown, Mysterio knew he had to watch out for the wily Irishman…but he never could have expected the ending to their No Mercy clash.
As Finlay lay on the apron with his head between the ropes, Mysterio scaled the top rope and dropped a leg on the Irishman’s head. Finlay fell backwards, and the back of his head smacked square onto the concrete floor.
Referee Jimmy Korderas checked on the Celtic combatant, and immediately called for the trainers. Finlay was put into a neck brace and lifted onto a gurney, and even Mysterio showed compassion for his fallen opponent. However, the entire scene was all an elaborate ruse.
As medical personnel began to wheel Finlay out, he sprung up off the gurney and clobbered Mysterio from behind. He managed to nail Rey with a few clubbing blows and a body slam on the floor before Korderas could restrain him, but the damage had been done; Finlay hadn’t lost, as the match was thrown out, and it was Mysterio who was left brutally beaten.
Once again, for some reason, color commentator JBL seemed to agree with Finlay’s tactics as Michael Cole vehemently questioned why Finlay did this to Mysterio. Even after No Mercy, the only one who knows that answer is the Irishman himself; but if tonight’s attack is any indication, our fans can surmise that this issue is far from settled.
Triple H defeated WWE Champion Randy Orton to win the title
Randy Orton thought he would have the time to bask in his victory celebration. He was on top of the world – he had eliminated John Cena and had been awarded the prize he cherished more than anything in the world, the WWE Championship. But a longtime nemesis – a certain King of Kings – shocked the world and knocked the Legend Killer off his throne.
Orton’s eyes were glazed with shock as he returned to the locker room. He had felt the extreme ecstasy of calling himself the WWE Champion, and then the agony of losing the championship in less than 20 minutes. When Orton was awarded the WWE Championship by Mr. McMahon at the beginning of No Mercy, he basked in his glory. It was the crowning moment in his career, surpassing his becoming the youngest World Heavyweight Champion in WWE history in 2004. It was the culmination of a five-month campaign where he left the broken bodies of legends such as Shawn Michaels and the “American Dream” Dusty Rhodes in his wake and tortured Cena mentally and physically. Now, finally, the third-generation Superstar had what he wanted in his hands, the WWE Championship.
But when Triple H crashed his victory party, his heart sank. He knew he was going to defend the title tonight, but believed he would be able to handpick his opponent. Judging by the way he immediately denied The Game's request for a title opportunity, Orton clearly would not have picked The Game. But Triple H goaded the Chairman into granting him the match, and Orton was left almost speechless.
Orton has no love for his mentor in Evolution – and it showed in battle. Triple H kicked Orton out of Evolution and defeated him for the World Heavyweight Championship after the third-generation Superstar had only held the title for only a month. Orton has never forgotten that. In some ways, he has never been the same and has blamed Triple H for all his hardships and setbacks since September 2004.
Tonight, the Legend Killer beat The Game viciously, perhaps having flashbacks to Unforgiven 2004, when Triple H ended his title reign. He was determined not to experience déjà vu. But The King of Kings showed why he is considered one of the greatest big game players ever. Given their history, the Cerebral Assassin may have been inside Orton’s head before the bell even rang. After withstanding the physical onslaught from Orton, The Game battled back. One miscue by Orton into the ring post and a rollup later, The King of Kings was back on his throne, for the 11th time.
As our fans in the Allstate Arena roared, Triple H held the WWE Championship high and saluted them. His comeback from months of injury was complete and he was in his glory.
Meanwhile, Orton sulked and could only stare in disbelief. Once again, Triple H ended his title reign prematurely. Once again, he had taken away his most prized possession and turned his dream into a nightmare.
WWE Champion Triple H defeated Umaga to retain the title
Going into No Mercy, Triple H’s showdown with Umaga was only about two irresistible forces and whether or not The Game would be able survive the onslaught of a bloodthirsty, vengeance-minded beast. The Game had not only survived the Samoan Bulldozer, but he made his first successful defense of his newly-won WWE Championship – but just barely.
The Game could barely rise to his feet as he clutched his WWE Championship. Earlier that night, he shocked the entire WWE when he defeated newly-coronated WWE Champion Randy Orton for the title. Triple H’s celebration was short-lived, however, as Mr. McMahon informed him that he would make his first title defense against Umaga that same night.
Triple H and Umaga’s battle was as brutal as expected. The 348 pound Samoan Bulldozer was determined to give The Game a crimson-soaked receipt for a brutal beating that left the beast face-down in his own blood and sidelined for several weeks. Triple H did what no other Superstar had done, and Umaga could think of no better way of getting revenge than by dismantling The Game and taking his WWE Championship.
The 11-time World Champion was still spent from his grueling match with Orton. But he never complained and never hesitated when he was told he was defending his title against Umaga. The Bulldozer rattled Triple H’s ribs and was unrelenting as he punished The Cerebral Assassin. Undoubtedly, he was reliving how Triple H repeatedly walloped him over the head with a chair and then the sledgehammer Sept. 3 on Raw. He was remembering how his own blood flowed into his eyes as The Cerebral Assassin knelt over and ordered him to look at the face of the man who was going to end his career.
But Triple H showed that he knew how to battle and overcome the odds – and why he has been a world champion many times over. He fought back and took the battle to the Samoan monster.
To the amazement of our fans at the Allstate Arena – and the disgust of the Chairman – he eked out a victory over Umaga. The Cerebral Assassin outwitted Umaga and Mr. McMahon and deprived them of their vengeance.
ECW Champion CM Punk defeated Big Daddy V with Matt Striker by disqualification; Punk retains the title
ECW Champion CM Punk addressed his “big problem” at No Mercy, and while the resolution was a win, things didn’t exactly go the way he wanted them to.
After the referee saw Matt Striker hit Punk from behind, Big Daddy V suffered his first loss since joining the Land of the Extreme when he was disqualified from his ECW Championship opportunity. Suffered, however, would be a word better fit for the Straightedge Superstar, who was busted open after a series of splashes from the behemoth that could have been felt throughout the entire Midwest.
The two Superstars first met on ECW on Sci Fi in a match that left CM Punk on the ground, victim of a count-out after being beat so badly. They have had a quiet rivalry brewing since, but it came to a head last Tuesday when Matt Striker told the champion that his student was done with him unless Punk gave him a title match. Later that evening, after Tommy Dreamer appeared to have won the Elimination Chase to No Mercy, General Manager Armando Estrada added Big Daddy V to the competition. As with all of his other contests, Daddy made the match a quick affair.
Where does No Mercy leave the Land of the Extreme? CM Punk got his win, but he still has plenty to prove. Big Daddy V still hasn’t quenched his teacher’s championship thirst. Sunday night could mark the climax to a great ECW rivalry, but it also might just be the beginning.
Mr. Kennedy and World Tag Team Champions Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch defeated Intercontinental Champion Jeff Hardy and Paul London and Brian Kendrick
In a special bonus contest at No Mercy, The World Tag Team Champions Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch and Mr. Kennedy defeated Intercontinental Champion Jeff Hardy and London & Kendrick in a Six Man Tag Team Match.
Just six days after losing to Hardy and London & Kendrick on Raw, Cade & Murdoch enlisted the loudmouth Superstar to exact revenge. Ever the Superstar to steal the spotlight, the Green Bay-born Kennedy delivered for his teammates in front of a hostile Chicago crowd, picking up the victory for his team when he pinned Paul London.
The fast-paced aerial assault of Hardy, London & Kendrick kept their opponents grounded, but the powerful offensive arsenal of Kennedy, Cade & Murdoch was too much to overcome for the high-flying trio. Both sides may have paid a price as all six men limped back to the locker room. But for tonight, Mr. Kennedy, Cade & Murdoch could raise their hands in victory over their budding rivals.
Randy Orton defeated WWE Champion Triple H to win the title in a Last Man Standing Match
History was truly made at No Mercy – over and over again. The WWE Title changed hands twice, and when the smoke cleared, Randy Orton was WWE Champion.
It was a roller coaster ride for both Orton and Triple H. Both experienced the ecstasy of holding the WWE Championship and agony of losing the gold. At the beginning of the night, Orton was in his glory when he was awarded the WWE Championship by Mr. McMahon.
It was the crowning moment in the career of the third-generation Superstar. It surpassed his becoming the youngest World Heavyweight Champion in WWE history in 2004. It was the culmination of a five-month campaign where he left the broken bodies of legends such as Shawn Michaels and the “American Dream” Dusty Rhodes in his wake and tortured Cena mentally and physically. He finally had what he wanted, the WWE Championship – and then Triple H ruined it by challenging him and defeating him for the title.
The Game had little time to celebrate his 11th World Championship. A vindictive Mr. McMahon threw challenge after challenge at him. He made his match against Umaga a WWE Championship Match – which he barely won in a grueling battle. The Game was battered, exhausted, and barely able to lift his arm after the brutal battle with the Samoan Bulldozer.
The Chairman and Orton obviously noticed how spent The King of Kings was; the Legend Killer opted to immediately exercise his option as a former champion and have his rematch for the title that night. And Mr. McMahon, in his longtime hatred for Triple H, smiled with delight as he informed his former son-in-law that the rematch would be in a Last Man Standing Match.
As great as Triple H is, even he could not withstand a war with Umaga and two brutal battles with Orton on the same night. The Legend Killer had two hours to rest between his matches with Triple H; The Game had no real time to heal from his wounds and rest.
In many ways, by choosing to exercise his rematch clause at the time he did, Orton showed Triple H that he learned his lessons well when The Game mentored him when they were teammates in Evolution. He saw The Game was weakened and seized his opportunity. In addition, Orton was determined to exorcise the Triple H championship demon once and for all.
Triple H ruined Orton’s first World Heavyweight Championship in 2004 when he kicked him out of Evolution and defeated him for the title only a month into his reign. The Game struck again tonight when he took the WWE Championship from Orton barely 20 minutes after he was awarded the title. Orton must have thought he was reliving an absolute nightmare, and he desperately wanted to wake up.
The third-generation Superstar’s desperation showed in his Last Man Standing Match. Perspiration poured down his face as he rained blows down on The Game. He capitalized on the injuries Umaga had inflicted earlier that night and opened a gash in The Game's head.
But Triple H fought valiantly. At times appeared on the verge of a miraculous third victory in one night. But Orton would not be denied in his second match, and outlasted The Game to win the WWE Championship after a thunderous RKO on the announcers' table.
After the match, Orton made no apologies for capitalizing on Triple's injuries.
"When you're in WWE, you're on another level," he said. "It doesn't matter if you wrestled twice in one night, twice in one week or if you rehabbed [your injury] for 10 months. Rules are rules, matches are matches, stipulations are stipulations. Mr. McMahon made the match, and I won."
Orton breathed a long sigh of relief as he clutched the gold. He outsmarted The Cerebral Assassin, and the WWE Championship was his. Orton said his time has finally come.
"This means that I have finally broken through," Orton said. "I have always been good, but now I'm at the top, and nothing's going to stop me."
The era of the Legend Killer has finally begun – and Orton can finally enjoy it. But perhaps he better keep looking over his shoulder for a vengeful Game.
