TNA Impact Report 9/13/07

It’s September 13th and this, is the impact report!

We open with a recap of No Surrender. Angle lost his tag titles and his X division title.

JB is talking to the Coalition. Christian makes a vague threat to Matt Morgan. He says at Bound For Glory he will wrestle Joe one more time. And there must be a winner. But tonight, he told Cornette to find the baddest Samoan he can, and he will make an example out of him.

Tonight’s main event is Angle vs Abyss in the Six Sides of Steel. The only way to win is by submission. If Abyss loses, he has to leave TNA.

Karen Angle comes down to the ring. She introduces our champion, Kurt Angle.
Sting comes out from the Entrance way. He has a mic, and he looks like there is something on his mind. He doesn’t blame Kurt for hitting him with the Angle Slam at No Surrender. He blames Karen. She says Sting slapped her. But he never did.
Angle comes down and hits Sting with a chair. He throws Sting into the ring. Angle handcuffs Sting to the bottom rope and stomps on him. Angle says if you want to embarrass his wife by slapping her, then next month at Bound For Glory, he will embarrass the shit out of Sting. Karen slaps Sting a few times. Sting spits on Angle. Stomps from Angle as his music plays. Karen stands over Sting taunting him. And we go to commercial.

Commercial.

We’re back and it’s Tenay and West at ringside. They hype tonight’s main event.

JB in the back with Abyss. Abyss says, tonight, it’s not his last match, but Angle’s last breath.

Opening Match: Black Reign vs. Shark Boy

Black Reign looks like the drummer from KISS.
Black Reign attacks Shark Boy as he enters the ring. Clothesline in the corner. Some rights from Reign. Ace crusher out of the corner. The Schizophrenic (an interesting vertical suplex variation). 1, 2, 3. Winner: Black Reign Reign hits Shark Boy with a foreign object and brings in the rat cage. He removes Shark Boy’s Mask and puts the rat inside. He tries to put the rat mask on Shark Boy but Eric Young pulls him out of the ring.

Crystal is in the back with Team Pacman. Nothing too important here. Bound For Glory. ATL. Etc etc.

Commercial

Match Two: Christopher Daniels vs Jay Lethal: Non-title

Daniels goes for the cheapshot but Lethal goes to town on him. Daniels get out of the ring to catch his breath and Lethal dives out of the ring onto Daniels. Back in the ring some quick action and Lethal gets a nearfall. Sleeper. Daniels takes him down. Nearfall. Sleeper by Daniels. Lethal elbows Daniels and picks him up and drives him into the corner. Lethal goes to the top and crashes and burns. DVD by Daniels. Nearfall. Falcon Arrow by Daniels. Nearfall. Off the topres. Clothesline by Lethal, Another, Another. Another. Daniels is out. Knee lift. Lethal goes to the top. Daniels dodges. Enziguri by Lethal. Super kick. Nearfall. Some rights from Lethal. BME from Daniels. Nearfall. Daniels puts Lethal on the top. Lethal gets a right. Ducks the clotheline. Daniels blocks the Lethal combination. Daniels hits a nice move and gets the win. Winner: Christopher Daniels

JB in Cornette’s office. He doesn’t want Morgan to hurt anyone tonight. Morgan says not to worry about it.

The Christian Coalition are headed out to the ring.

Commercial.

We’re back and the Coalition is in the ring. Christian calls out Matt Morgan. He comes out to no music. Christian says at No Surrender Joe realized he can’t beat Christian, so he got himself disqualified and tried to strangle him. Christian tells Morgan to make sure that never happens again. Joe attacks Christian out of nowhere. Morgan throws AJ out of the ring. Then Tomko. Joe and Morgan are left standing in the ring. Morgan says at Bound For Glory, Morgan will be the special enforcer in Joe vs Christian.
Cornette comes out and brings out Christian’s opponent for next week. A big Samoan, Junior Fatu, formerly known as Rikiski.

Featured Contest: It is a Six Sides of Steel Submission Match: Abyss vs Kurt Angle

Abyss makes sure Judas isn’t under the ring, then he grabs a chair and brings it into the ring with him. Angle comes out and we take a commercial break.

Commercial

Angle goes to work on Abyss’ leg in the opening seconds of the match. Abyss tosses Angle face first into the cage. He throws Angle into the cage again. Angle is busted open already. Angle stomps at the midsection. Big Spinebuster from Abyss. Abyss locks on a Boston Crab. Angle wants to tap. But he makes his way to the ropes. Abyss gets some rights and accidentally throws Angle into the ref. Angle avoids the chokeslam. Angle starts climbing out of the cage. Abyss grabs him by the ankle and pulls him down. Abyss hammers Angle on the top rope. Abyss hits a superplex on Angle.

Commercial

Angle hits the moonsault press on Abyss. Angle is in control. Angle locks on the Ankle lock but Abyss fights out. Angle grabs the chair but abyss punches it into his face. Slugfest from Abyss and Angle. Angle goes down. Down again. Big press from Abyss.
Angle locks on the Ankle lock out of the Shock Treatment. Abyss tries to get to the ropes but he rolls out of it. He takes down Angle and locks on the Ankle lock. Judas cuts a hole in the mat and comes out from under the ring with some barbed wire. He chokes Abyss with the barbed wire. Judas has the chair and he hits Abyss. Looks like Abyss will blade. Another chairshot to Abyss. Judas lays out some broken glass. HE stabs Abyss arm with a shard of glass. He cuts the other arm. Judas bites the cut on Abyss’ face. Judas leaves Abyss bloody in the ring.
