    Raw Report 9/10/2007

This week, Raw originates LIVE! from Green Bay Wisconsin, only on the USA Network!

Raw begins with "No Chance!" as the Chairman and Coach make their way down to the ring. McMahon gives us an overview of everything that has happened so far amidst a sea of boos. He explains that it was embarassing, but it was only one night. He botches saying "WWE" and instead says "WWO," which gets him a TON of heat. He plays it off well, and tells the crowd to shut up. He says tonight he'll finally meet his bastard son, but the Mother shouldn't have played games with him. He says games like saying "things are looking up" were wrong. Vince takes solace in knowing that his son is not from Green Bay, Wisconsin. He says Mr. Kennedy, the coverboy of the current WWE magazine, is from Green Bay. He tells Coach to rip up the cover. Mr. Kennedy should be suspended for impersonating a McMahon. He then says now is the time, who is the lucky man?

The music of Great Khali hits! Things indeed are looking up. Khali comes out with his interpreter, and marches down to the ring. McMahon is smiling as he introduces Khali. Khali grabs the mic, but I have no clue what he's saying. The Interpreter says that Khali has some insight. Things looking up can only refer to Khali. Growing up in Punjab, Khali never had a real dad. Khali would be honored to be called "The Great McMahon."

JBL's music hits, and he enters down the aisle with a microphone. JBL says that a great visionary like McMahon should know that "looking up" isn't literal. He says he and McMahon love the same thing: money. JBL insults Khali. JBL says considering his investments, his real estate, etc., he can certify and guarantee that things are looking up. JBL says he and VKM are cut from the same mold; self-made millionaires. They're both exceedingly good looking, sexual tyrannosaurus, Vince owns wrestling, JBL is a wrestling God. They even go to the same barber in New York City. JBL wants to change his name from JBL to JBM... John Bradshaw McMahon.

Jeff Hardy's music hits! The IC Champ hits the ring with mic in hand. Coach asks him what he's doing out there. He says he doesn't know; he knows his Dad, he loves his Dad, but when he jumps off a ladder, everyone looks up. The crowd starts a big "Hardy" chant. VKM says Jeff could be his son, because he looks nothing like his brother. Jeff "sure as hell hopes not." Unlike Khali and JBL, he just wants to know that he's NOT his son. JBL starts yelling at Hardy and Khali, insulting them both. Suddenly, Lawyer Johnson shows up on the titantron. VKM yells, but the lawyer says that the son will be revealed when the client is good and ready. Vince asks if his bastard son is in the ring; the lawyer says that his son is NOT Jeff Hardy. Hardy screams "Praise the Lord!" VKM calls Jeff a fool, and since he's not his son, he doesn't give a damn. Tonight, Jeff will have to face someone who might be Vince's son, The Great Khali!

We go to commercial still not knowing who the son is, but with an intriguing match set up. Hardy was hilarious during this segment.

After the break London and Kendrick's music hits, and the two run down to the ring. This is a singles match involving Paul London, so Kendrick is just there to watch his back. Cade and Murdoch's music hits, and they walk out to the ring. Lance Cade is the one to see action tonight.

    Lance Cade v. Paul London

Paul London is definately outsized, and is easily powered into a corner. Cade breaks the hold, and the two lock up in a collar-elbow, which London uses his agility to get out of, but Cade powers him down, and locks in a side headlock. London forces Cade into the ropes, and the two start a nice quick exchange, with London coming out on top with a hurricanrana. Cade gains control again, though, with a nice polish hammer. Cade uses his superior size to hit some nice offensive moves on London, eventually getting him into a corner. London manages to kick Cade in the face, and hits some offense of his own, even getting a two count at one point. London hits the ropes, but is thrown high into the air with a very impressive backbody drop. Cade continues to work over London, and puts him on the top rope. Cade is thrown off the top by London, but Murdoch is now on the apron, and is trying to sneak to London. The ref catches Murdoch, and doesn't see Kendrick get in the ring. Kendrick darts to Cade and hits the Sliced Bread #2, and London uses this to his advantage and hits a standing shooting star press. London makes the cover, and the ref turns around to make the count. 1-2-3! This one is over.

    Your Winner: Paul London

Cade and Murdoch are not happy, as London and Kendrick seem quite pleased with themselves as they back up the ramp.

Match Rating: B+ (Man, London and Cade put on a good match. Cade showed incredible athletic ability, and London was great as always. This feud is doing great things for both teams, and I'm interested to see where it goes. I'm also glad that JR and King mentioned London and Kendrick's win of the Tag Team titles on their latest tour, and their subsequent loss of the titles back to Cade and Murdoch. It adds a new dimension to the feud.)

Triple H is seen in the back drawing on a piece of posterboard. He looks up at the camera, and turns the board over, showing that is says "New Triple H shirts now available" at the WWE website. He then sets the sign down next to one of the shirts as we go to a break.

After the commercial we get a quick recap of Orton's action from a few weeks ago, as well as Cena's reaction last week in attacking Regal. We then get a look backstage, and see that there is security everywhere. JR says that Cena has been banned from the building.

Coach and Vince are in the back now, and McMahon asks Coach how Regal is doing. Coach says that he's okay, but not ready to come back to work yet. He then tells Vince that Cena has been banned from the building, to avoid such a fate from happening to Coach himself. Coach then tells Vince that WWE.com has had a poll over the last week to see who the fans thought Vince's son was, and he has the number 2 voted star with him here. Coach introduces Stevie Richards, who enters the room. Vince laughs in his face, and tells him to leave. Vince then asks Coach, just out of curiosity, who the number 1 voted star was. Coach hesitates, then tells Vince it was Triple H.

Todd Grisham is now shown, and he introduces Carlito. He asks Carlito if he's nervous to take on Triple H after seeing what the Game did to Umaga. Carlito says he's not afraid of Triple H, since all he showed was that he's tough with a sledgehammer. Carlito says that tonight, Coach allowed him to pick Triple H's opponent, and he's picked someone who has beaten Triple H a number of times. Carlito says that by the end of the night, he'll be Triple H's daddy. Carlito chuckles to himself as we go a commercial.

After the break Triple H's music hits to a massive pop. The Game makes his way to the ring for this match against Carlito's mystery opponent. As Triple H waits in the ring, Shelton Benjamin's music hits. Triple H gets a little grin on his face as both Carlito and Benjamin come down to the ring.

    Shelton Benjamin v. Triple H

Triple H brings it to Benjamin, landing a nice right. Benjamin hits the canvas, and backs into a corner. Benjamin tries to make an offense with some right hands, but Triple H stops him with a back elbow after Benjamin hits the ropes. Benjamin uses his athletic ability to attempt to gain control, but Triple H stops him, putting him into a ringpost. Triple H takes Benjamin, works on his arm a bit, and then puts him into the ringpost again. This time, Shelton falls to the outside, and Triple H follows. After getting Benjamin back into the ring, Triple H turns his attention to Carilto. Benjamin tries to capitalize with a baseball slide, but Triple H dodges it, and puts Shelton's face into the canvas. Triple H then takes it one step further and throws Shelton over the announce table onto a seated Carlito. Both Carlito and Benjamin are staggered as we go to a commercial.

After the break both men are in the ring, with Benjamin having a sleeper hold on Triple H. Triple H fights to his feet, and hits a nice right hand. Triple H throws Benjamin to the ropes, and tries the spinebuster, but Shelton reverses it and hits a DDT. Shelton takes advantage again, and locks in a sleeperhold. Triple H again fights to his feet, and tries to mount an offense. Shelton then hits a nice flying manuever from the top rope, and locks in a sleeper again. Triple h fights out again, nails Shelton with a clothesline. Triple H starts to fight back, but Benajmin is ready for him, but is brought down by a Triple H knee lift. Triple H follows up by putting Benjamin into a corner, and landing a nice clothesline. Benjamin tries to hit some offense, but walks right into a spinebuster. Triple H now is distracted by Carlito. Benjamin tries to capitalize, but Triple H ducks out of the way as Benajmin flies by. Shelton hits face first into the turnbuckle, and turns around to get hit with a Pedigree. This one is done.

    Your Winner: Triple H

Carlito jumps in the ring with a chair, but Triple H kicks him and grabs the chair. Carlito quickly bails out and runs up the ramp. Coach comes out and says that because Triple H made a fool of Vince over the last few weeks, the match with Carlito has been changed, and is now a No DQ match for Carlito only. Carlito can use whatever means he needs to win, but Triple H can't use any weapons of any kind. Triple H looks furious, as Carlito looks very amused.

Match Rating: B+ (I'm so happy that Triple H is back. This match was not a let down at all. Both Triple H and Shelton were is great form. I'm also glad that they gave Triple H a victory over a guy who has beaten him twice. It almost gives closure to those events. Regardless, I can't wait for Triple H to be put in the title picture again.)

The security on the outside is shown checking a red SUV and allowing it entry.

In the back, Randy Orton is walking, and we are told we'll hear from the Legend Killer next.

After the break, Randy Orton's music hits, and the Legend Killer himself walks out to the ring. Orton grabs a mic. He says John Cena is probably at home watching. He says that he may be with his father watching Raw right now. The volume must be down, though, as well as the lights, since Cena's father's head is throbbing. Orton says that Unforgiven will be the one year anniversary of Cena winning the WWE title. He says that Cena has gone through the biggest and baddest to be the champ, and that back then it wasn't personal. He asks Cena if it's personal now. Orton says that when he kicked Cena's father in the head, he got inside his head. The crowd starts going nuts, and Orton looks around to see Cena coming through the crowd. Orton shouts at security to do their job, but Cena gets to the ring and attacks Orton. Orton manages to fight free and runs up the ramp, while Cena goes crazy at the ring and tries to fight through the wall of security.

Vince and Coach are in the back, with Vince annoyed that Cena was able to make it in the building. Vince says that it's too bad Regal isn't there. Coach asks Vince not to say that, but Vince says that he'll ban Cena from the building. Then, the security squad comes in with Cena in the middle of them. Vince breaks it up and gets in Cena's face asking the Champ who he thinks he is. Cena then tells Vince he's going to talk to him as a man, not an employee to his boss. He tells Vince that Orton's blood will run, and that Orton will see rage in his eyes. Cena goes on a rant about doing it for his family, for his father, before the security takes him off, and we go to a break.

After the break Candice Michelle's music hits, and the Women's Champion comes down to the ring. It looks like she'll be alongside King and JR for our weekly Diva's match!

    Mickie James v. Jillian Hall

Jillian starts things off with a snapmare, and whipping Mickie into the ropes before hitting a gymnastic splash in the corner. Jillian dominates Mickie, but Mickie puts her legs up to block a splash. The two start exchnaged blows, but Mickie gets teh upper hand with a neckbreaker and a two-count. The crowd is DEAD. Jillian whips Mickie into the ropes, but Mickie counters with a headscissors; the headscissors is countered with an electric chair on Mickie by Jillian. More blows are exchanged, when Mickie hits a massive roundhouse kick, knocking Jillian out. Mickie covers and gets the 1,2,3!

Beth Phoenix hits the ring and levels both Mickie and Jillian, sending them out of the ring. Candace jumps in and starts attacking Beth, but Phoenix counters and hits the delayed fisherman's suplex. Candace is out cold as Beth goes to the back motioning the a belt around her waist.

    Your Winner: Mickie James

Match Rating: C (It was nice to see Mickie get a win, but man, this match was a drag. The crowd was dead and Candace's commentary was awful. I'm ready for Beth and Candace to fight, but this match really did nothing for me.)

After a break, Marella comes out in trunks, ready to wrestle for the first time in God Knows When. That theme music is just so bad it's almost good. Marella gets on the mic, but the mic isn't working. Finally it works; Marella says he's sad because of the death of Pavarotti. Marella says at least he passed away before having to watch Stone Cold in the Condemned on DVD. He says Americans are disgusting, and we have a mindlessly violent culture. Sandman's music hits on that note, and he comes through the crowd ready to crack this puke over the head with his boomstick. Santino demands that Sandman fight without his stick. The ref makes Sandman get rid of the stick, and this match is on!

    Santino Marella v. Sandman

Santino on the offense early, putting Sandman's head into the turnbuckle. Sandman comes back sending Sandman into the ropes and hitting an elbow. Sandman is sent into the ropes, but walks awkwardly, botching the turnbuckle hit and apparently tweaking his ankle. Sandman is limping around the ring and it doesn't look good. Despite this they keep fighting, and Sandman, after sending Marella out of the ring, flies over the ropes for a plancha. Santino grabs the stick, but Sandman moves. The ref DQ's Marella. Marella tries to hit Sandman but accidentally hits himself and drops the cane. Sandman picks it up and swings, but Marella gets out of the ring quickly. Sandman stands in triumph, still nursing that twisted ankle.

    Your Winner: Sandman

Match Rating: C+ (Wow, Sandman rolled his ankle and it looked pretty bad. The match suffered because of this, but kudos to Sandman for being one tough SOB and finishing this match. Santino... well, he's just annoying. Also, it was in pretty poor taste to capitalize on the death of Pavarotti in order to put over Stone Cold's DVD.)

AFter a break, Maria is asking Ron Simmons if her and Marella should start seeing other people. Marella appears and attacks Ron Simmons, sending him into a bunch of Kegs. Marella looks at Ron and says "Daaaamn!" Looks like we'll get one more match out of Ron

After a very long Diva's search video, Khali's music hits. Looks like it's time for our main event!

The Great Khali v. Jeff Hardy

After the entrances, Jeff tries to punch Khali, but Khali just pushes Jeff around like a ragdoll. Jeff springs off the ropes but catches a massive clothesline. Khali puts Jeff in a corner and, after a few kicks, delvers some big elbows into Jeff's head. Jeff goes for the whisper in the wind but misses it and Khali just pushes Hardy aside. Hardy takes a huge back kick from Khali. Khali puts the vicegrip on Hardy, but Hardy won't give up. The crowd is way behind Hardy, but Jeff is fading. Hardy is trying to fight, but Khali changes gribs and is completely out. Khali puts one foot on Hardy and gets the win.

    Your Winner: The Great Khali

Match Rating: C (C for CRAP. Who did Jeff piss off? This was a squash that was completely unnecessary.)

Batista's music hits and the animal shows up looking JACKED. The crowd goes crazy as he makes his way to the ring. Batista charges Khali and takes him down with a spear. Khali gets out of the ring as Batista gets on the top rope and taunts Khali. Good to see Batista back on Raw.

After a commercial, "No Chance" hits, and here come Coach and VKM, along with the entire male roster of the WWE. VKM says that one of these men is privileged to be his bastard son, and will claim the name of McMahon. We've been waiting weeks, so Vince calls for the Attorney to tell him which is his son. The lawyer says that before they say who, they'll say who it's not. The son is not extreme. Upon hearing this, Vince sends the ECW guys to the back. The son has a fondness for gold. Coach says that the son must be a champion. Vince says anyone who is a former or current champ can stay. Vince says Hacksaw is old enough to be HIS father. Vince asks for the next clue. The son's skin is fair. VKM says anyone not caucasian should leave, and to blame it on the Mom, not him. Vince invites all of the competitors in the ring. The lawyer says the skin is fair, as is his hair. Vince says anyone who has blonde hair can stay. The lawyer says "individual." Vince says the person should be of individual gold, not tag-team. Three men are left: JBL, HHH, and Sandman. Vince asks, and the lawyer gives one final clue: "Vince's son loves to play the game." Sandman and JBL leave HHH and Vince in the ring. Vince says if HHH is his son, then that means... but HHH says he doesn't like this anymore than Vince does. Vince says this is not right. The lawyer says the son plays the game: horseshoes, hide and seek, etc. Things are looking up for the son: HORNSWOGGLE.

HHH starts laughing, and Hornswoggle comes out from under the ring! Vince looks sick, and Triple H can't stop laughing. Hornswoggle hugs Vince's leg. Hornswoggle and HHH high five each other. Raw goes off the air as HHH puts a green Derby hat on Vince McMahon.

Final Grade: B- (First two matches were great, and the final segment was well done, but the Hornswoggle thing is kind of lame, and there were some pretty bad matches tonight. Overall, a ho-hum Raw that had a few bright spots, but nothing spectacular.)
