Here we are with the September 30th edition of TNA impact!
We open with a recap of last week as always.
Somegirl is backstage talking to Killings and Pacman. They are saying they gave Eric Young a free autograph. It’s like charity. Tonight, someone else will get a Pacman autograph.
Opening titles.
Tenay hypes Angle’s three title defenses at No Surrender.
Tonight there will be a four-way dance to determine Angle’s tag partner.
Sting vs Joe vs Christian vs AJ Styles
JB in the back with Angle. He says none of those guys are suitable to be his partner. They hate him. Nash says hating him is like hating the flag. Karen says tonight she is going to do her magic and take care of everything for Kurt.
Opening contest: Team 3D vs. The MotorCity Machineguns
Scott Steiner comes down before the match even gets underway. He pushes the Machineguns out of the way. Steiner gets into the ring and Team 3D goes wild on him. Stomps. Off the ropes, he hits a double clothesline. T-bone to Brother Ray. Belly to Belly for Devon. Steiner gets a table from under the ring. Overhead belly to belly to Brother Ray, in an impressive show of strength. Devon hits Steiner from behind. Stomps on him. Irish whip, 3D! 3D hammers the top of a chair into the throat of Scott Steiner. The Machineguns are sneaking around the ring. Ray and Devon attack the security guards. They roll Steiner back into the ring. The table is set up. Double powerbomb through the table. Both Steiners are now officially put out.
Match never happened. Disappointing. I love the Motorcity Machineguns.
Commercial.
We’re back. During the break Steiner was put onto a stretcher and loading onto an ambulance.
The Machineguns are now in the ring. They are demanding a match. WHOOOOO!!!!!
Real Opening Contest: Motorcity Machineguns vs Voodoo Kin Mafia
VKM runs into the ring and go to work on the MM. Shelley and BG start the match. Shelley and Sabin hit some double teams. Too fast to call. They are amazing. Shelley takes Kip off the apron. Kip throws him into the guardrails. Big half-nelson slam on Sabin and VKM gets the win. Winners: VKM
VKM issues a challenge. LAX comes down. Triple X comes down. Eric Young and Shark Boy come down. They all battle in the ring as we go to the back.
(Rating: Match was too short for a rating. I’ll give it 2 though just because I got to see a little bit of Shelley and Sabin, but they were squashed, so that sucks.)
JB is in the back with Karen. He is trying to convince her not to talk to Joe. She knocks on his door. JB enters with her. Joe is on the phone. He can’t believe she is in his lockerroom. He tells her to make it quick before he does something they’ll both regret. She argues that if Angle and Joe work together, they can be the most powerful force in wrestling. Joe agrees they could be unstoppable. But he wants to dismember Angle. Take him apart one piece at a time. He wants to lay Kurt broken body at her feet.
Commercial.
JB is talking to AJ and Christian but Karen comes in. Christian tells her the strip club is down the street. AJ says, “hey, she’s a lady..” She has an offer Christian can’t refuse. She wants to help him win the match. If he does and they keep the tag titles, he’ll get a world title shot. But he won’t bite. Christian says tonight it will come down to AJ and him, and the best man will win. AJ wants a title shot with Kurt. He’s dumb. He doesn’t understand what’s going on. He wants her. He thinks she wants him. He wants that title shot.
The Cowboy James Storm is bar crawling again for Rhino. He says he went to too classy of bars last week. He goes to a crappier bar this week. He said he’ll fight everyone in the bar. They run him out. One guy says Rhino was there yesterday. Cowboy leaves. If you’ve seen Rhino call 1-888-Have-A-Beer. (I called the number and it didn’t work =\)
Featured Contest: Christian vs AJ Styles vs Samoa Joe vs Sting
Still a half hour left in the show. This could be a really good match.
Joe has the Samoan dancers and everything. Karen is talking to Sting backstage. Sting won’t bite either.
Angle’s music hits after the other men have entered the ring. He appears to have new music. Kurt and Karen hit the ramp. They will be watching this match from ringside.

Sting and AJ are up. Christian is up. Sting throws Christian out of the ring. AJ takes out Sting. Joe is up. He throws AJ out of the ring. Joe with a big suicide plancha. Joe sends Cage onto the announce table. They fight on the side of the ramp. And they fight all the way back stage. AJ tries to take off the turnbuckle pad. Tomko comes into the ring and gives Sting a big boot. AJ goes for the pin. But Sting kicks out. AJ goes for the springboard forearm but gets an atomic drop. Sting locks on the Scorpion Deathlock and AJ taps out. Winner: Sting (Rating: 3 and a half stars. It was a pretty good main event. I’m not a Sting fan, but it was a good match. Worth watching the replay for.)
Sting will be Kurt Angle’s partner at No Surrender. Karen gives Sting his tag title belt. She raises both of their arms in the middle of the ring. The Angles leave the ring.
Team Pacman comes down and Killings takes down Sting. Pacman spray paints Sting’s back. Angle comes down and saves Sting.
TNA impact rating: 3 and a half stars. Not much backstage bullshit. A nice long main event.
