WWE News: WWE signs former star, Update on Lita, Royal Rumble contest, more

• It was announced this past Tuesday at the Impact Zone Wrestling that former WCW star Johnny Stamboli has signed a deal with WWE. Stamboli had a tryout match a few weeks ago under a mask, which was billed as “The Unknown Wrestler.”
  
  
• Amy “Lita” Dumas’ punk band, The Luchagors, will be releasing their cd on September 11th. Skid Row’s Rachel Bolan produced the album. Lita is the lead vocalist of the band.
  
  
• An indy ring announcer from Floriday, by the name of Bryan Kelly, is said to have signed a developmental deal with the World Wrestling Entertainment.
  
  
• WWE will be running a contest on their website. The winner will get a trip to The Royal Rumble; the contest will be sponsored by the new Jackass video game.
