ECW 8/28/2007 Albany, New York:
ECW intro is shown.
ECW Champion John Morrison comes out in slow motion. Literally, the camera angle had in move in slow motion. He grabbed a microphone and said everyone wants his body, more than his words. Morrison said that at SummerSlam he set the night on fire. Morrison said he proved why he is the guru of greatness and the Tuesday night delight. He is the ECW Champion, John Morrison. Morrison says General Manager Armando Alejandro Estrada made a fatal four way match tonight where the winner will get an upportunity at his ECW Championship. John says The Boogeyman is coming to get him, but it'll take more than worms to scare him. John says Miz claims he's a chick magnet, but talk is cheap and action is words and he isn't talking about what Miz does to himself in the shower. Morrison says he hopes Big Daddy V doesn't win, plain and simple. Morrison then says that CM Punk had his chance and lost at SummerSlam. He says Punk doesn't drink, doesn't smoke, and obviously doesn't win championships either! Morrison declares none of these four can beat him. (Very entertaining segment. I think Morrison is gold on the microphone now and has really improved on it since the days of when Jeff Hardy said listening to him was like watching paint dry. I guess all that paint went to Jeff's new hair! Job well done tonight by Morrison.)
Fatal Four Way where the winner receives a shot at the ECW Title is tonight: CM Punk vs. The Miz vs. The Boogeyman vs. Big Daddy V.

Winner: Elijah Burke
Rating: * 3/4 (I am enjoying this Balls/Kelly storyline. I like Kelly and think she is better than her Extreme Expose gimmick so maybe if they get her away from that and with Balls would be a good idea. Yet again last year they made us believe she would end up with CM Punk and that never happened. Burke was impressive also as usual.)
After the match, The Miz gets a microphone and says the loser of the match is Balls Mahoney! Brooke and Layla walk to the back with Miz as Kelly follows. Kelly suddenly enters the ring and checks on Mahoney! Miz, Layla, and Brooke are shocked and laugh it off while walking to the back. MATCH 3: Fatal Four Way Match Where The Winner Becomes The Number One Contender To John Morrison's ECW Championship:
The Miz vs. CM Punk vs. Big Daddy V with Matt Striker vs. The Boogeyman
-Commerical- (Seriously! They come back with The Miz in the ring and we are shown CM Punk and Big Daddy V's entrances and yet another commercial!)
Big Daddy V attacks Boogeyman and Punk and Miz then attack Big Daddy V. Big Daddy V knocks all three wrestlers down. Big Daddy V sends Boogeyman over the top rope and splashes Punk in the corner. Big Daddy V with a headbutt to The Miz and spinebusters him to the mat. Miz trips Boogeyman and pulls him out of the ring. Big Daddy V military presses CM Punk and sends him to the floor outside of the ring! Big Daddy V goes to splash Punk and Miz on the fan barricade but both move and Big Daddy V is sent over the barricade! Miz sends Punk into the steel steps. In the ring, Punk gets a boot up to Miz's face but Miz counters with a running clothesline in the corner to Punk for a two count. Punk counters Miz with a scoop slam but misses a leg drop. Miz with a snapmare and applies an arm lock as a CM Punk chant starts. Punk counters with an arm drag and connects with a powerslam. Punk with a high knee in the corner and then a running bulldog. Punk with a springboard clothesline for a two count. Punk lifts up The Miz and nails the GTS for the win!
Winner: CM Punk
Rating: ** (Fine main event, just lacked time. Big Daddy V looked impressive and The Miz put on a good showing. The Boogeyman was hardly in the match which isn't a bad thing and CM Punk has got to win the ECW Title this time around. It's pointless to keep having him win the number one contender matches yet lose at all the PPV's.)
After the match, Big Daddy V scoop slams The Boogeyman on the outside. Big Daddy V enters the ring as CM Punk leaves it and celebrates his win.
MATCH RESULTS:
1) Kevin Thorne defeated Stevie Richards
2) Elijah Burke defeated Balls Mahoney
3) CM Punk won a Fatal Four Way Over The Miz, Big Daddy V, and The Boogeyman; CM Punk is the new number one contender to John Morrison's ECW Championship
OVERALL: I enjoyed tonight's show. Tonights one hour show of ECW was far more entertaining than Raw's two hour show last night. What I like about ECW is that it's a stepping stone in some way for the younger talented guys to shine like John Morrison, CM Punk, The Miz, and Elijah Burke instead of guys with no talent like that so called champion The Great Khali, Snitsky, and Mark Henry. I enjoyed all the matches tonight for the most part with my only compaint is not enough time but then again this is only a one hour show. I enjoy how they built up Richards/Thorne and are still building Mahoney/Kelly storyline as well as Punk/Morrison. OVERALL RATING: 7.
See you all next week, Jason
