• In addition to working on a deal with Brock Lesnar, UFC is also reportedly going to make another attempt to sign Fedor Emelianenko this week. While a number of hurdles exist, UFC President Dana White does truly want to put together a Fedor vs. Randy Couture match for early next year.
  
  
• The MVP and Matt Hardy vs. Deuce and Domino match, which is scheduled for WWE SmackDown, was, at one point, under consideration for the Summerslam card.
  
  
• Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch defeated Paul London & Brian Kendrick in a dark match that took place prior to the WWE Summerslam event.
