nd we’re back with another week of TNA Impact.

We open with a recap from last week. Pacman teaming with Ron Killings, The Angle Awards. And Cornette setting up Angle’s three matches at No Surrender. And tonight, Angle wrestles The Steiner Brothers.


Earlier Today: Borash is outside as the Angle’s arrive at the arena. Karen is afraid to get out of the car. Angle is carrying all of his own titles. Now he says he needs a divorce.

Opening titles.

Tenay hypes tonights show. Pacman is there. The Steiners wrestle Kurt Angle. If they win, they get 5 minutes in the ring with Karen. I know what I’d do.

Opening Match: Robert Roode and Traci Brooks vs. Kaz and Gail Kim

Brooks attacks Kim right off the bat and Robert Roode follows suit. He stomps on Kaz followed by an irish whip, Kaz hits some armdrags and a forearm in the corner. Spinebuster by Roode. 2 count. Roode punches away at Kaz. Stomps. Neckbreaker by Roode. Nearfall. Straight right hand. Snapmare. Blockbuster type move. He plays to the crowd. Stomp to the midsection, Kaz with a leapfrog in the corner and a reverse facebuster. Kaz ducks the clothesline and takes down Roode. Dropkick, backbody drop. Irish whip, Kim goes for a hurricanrana, but Roode counters, Kaz hits a legsweep. Brooks tags herself in and gets taken down by Kim. Kaz takes out Roode with a clothesline. Roll up by Kim for the win. Winners: Gail Kim and Kaz (Rating: 2 stars. Meh. Decent opener, I suppose.) Roode talks some trash to Kim. Kaz stands up for her and takes down Roode.
Kaz gets on the mic. He says two things are wrong with Roode. 1. He’s a prick. 2. He has no idea how to treat a real lady. So watch and learn. He kisses Brooks on the cheek, she doesn’t seem to mind.

Mike Tenay and Don West at ringside. This is episode 100 of Impact. That went by fast. They hype the rest of the show.

TNA cameras went to Christian’s house this Tuesday. Tomko and AJ are there with him. Tomko is embarrassed, but AJ is waiting on him hand and foot. Christian doesn’t think he’ll be able to make it to Impact. Christian wonders what he will tell his wife. AJ asks where she is. Christian says she’s shoveling the driveway. AJ says they live in Florida. Christian orders them to take care of everything for him. AJ is ready. Tomko is slow to leave.

Commercial.

Cowboy James Storm promo. He says tonight he is going to find Rhino. He says Rhino is drinking again. So tonight it’s the “cowboy Pub Crawl.” He says he will find Rhino. He mistakes a fat old lady for Rhino. He gets thrown out of a bar because he always starts fights. On his way out…he starts a fight. To be continued….

Angle in Cornettes’ office. He tries to argue that his delicate flower and she shouldn’t have to fight. Cornette says she isn’t a lady. She tries to attack him. Angle says he should get a tag team partner. Cornette says no. But Cornette says next week there will be a lottery to determine his tag team partner for No Surrender.

Black Reign promo. Goldu—Black Reign is coming….

Match Two: Ron “The Truth” Killings vs “Showtime” Eric Young

Last week Killings beat down Eric Young. This week he can get his revenge.
Tenay referred to him as EY, so I will too. The bell sounds and EY looks scared. He avoids a shot from Killings, irish whip EY does a nice little flip in the corner to the apron, he slides between Killings legs and clotheslines him out of the ring, Tope by EY to Killings. It’s the Superbad replay of the night. And we take a commercial break.

Commercial.

We return to the classic Killings spot. I always pop for that one. Now he has control. EY is down in the corner. Clothesline in the corner. Vertical suplex into an ace crusher. Nice. Nearfall. Dustin Rhodes, looking like Sandman with a goatee is in the stands. Corner fist to the face by Killings. Killings gets a chair. EY is back on his feet, he hits a dropkick and hits some punches on Killings. Now he has the chair. The ref grabs the chair. Elbow by EY, clothesline. Nearfall. Ref misses the chairshot by Killings. Killings hits a big legdrop on EY and gets the win. Winner: Ron Killings (Ratings: 3 stars for this match. It was short, but it was pretty cool. I like seeing Killings doing all his crazy corkscrew stuff. And I’m starting to like EY more. I think if they used him better he would be pretty good.) Killings gets on the mic and introduces Pacman Jones. He has a can of spray paint. Killings says EY will get the autograph he wanted. He spraypaints “PAC” on EY’s back. Poor little Eric Young.

Borash is backstage Team 3D says after their match with the Steiners, they have become humble. They apologize for the things they said about the Steiners. They apologize to Borash and to the fans. They are going to refocus on the tag titles. They are going to stop being dicks and be the team we have come to know and love (which is odd because they made a name for themselves by getting heat from the crowd. So I don’t buy this. And why should I? It’s clearly a ruse.)

Commercial.

Tomko and AJ are outside of Joe’s dressing room. Joe pulls in Tomko and slams the door. AJ bangs on the door. Joe opens it up. “Hey is Tomko in there?” Joe charges at AJ and he runs. They run out to the ring. Joe throws AJ into the guardrail. Then into the ring. Irish whip, clothesline. Tomko comes down now. Joe is ready. Christian with a chair to Joe. Tomko hits the double chokeslam. Christian hits the double Conchairto.

Borash in the back with the Angles. Angle laughs at her outfit. She is scared. He says he has it covered. He says she needs to have a little faith in him. He tells Borash not to get married.

Commercial.

Father James Mitchell hypes his new man. Judas Meseas. He’s coming for Abyss.

TNA Impact Feature Contest: The Steiner Brothers vs Kurt Angle

Scott and Angle lock up. They break it up on the ropes. They lock up again. Side headlock by Angle. Off the ropes, shoulder tackle by Scott. Angle puts his head in the ropes to keep some distance. Angle hits a boot to the gut and an elbow to Scott’s back. European uppercut. Clothesline by Scott. Flex/elbow. Push-ups. Angle rolls out of the ring.

Commercial.

Scott throws Angle’s face into the corner. Chop. Rick bites Angle’s ass. Snapmare. Kick to the chest. Rick tags in. Some right hands. Irish whip. Karen tries to trip Rick. Angle hits Rick from behind. Rights by Angle. Four way match next week. AJ vs Christian vs Joe vs Sting. Winner is in the tag match with Angle at No Surrender. Snap suplex by Angle and a nearfall on Rick. Another nearfall. Rear naked choke. Rick hits a big belly to belly on Angle. (Rick’s skin looks like the same material as his singlet..eww..) Scott tags in, clotheslines, belly to belly overhead by Scott. Chops in the corner. Another belly to belly. VERY nearfall. Angle is great at the near threes, it’s awesome. Victory roll by Angle. Nearfall. Olympic slam. Nearfall. Thought that was three. Angle clotheslines Scott to the floor. Rick hits that same strange slam from last week on Angle. Bulldog off the ropes. Team 3D comes to the ring with the ref distracted. 3D! Angle crawls over. 1, 2, 3. Winner: Kurt Angle Team 3D lied. Big shocker. 3D on Scott. Devon gets the table. Powerbomb to Rick through the table. (Rating: 3 stars. Another decent match. Angle is match. Seems like maybe Rick doesn’t have it so much anymore, because Scott seems to dominate the matches. But perhaps that’s the way it always was.)

And that’s Impact for this week. 3 stars out of 5. Pretty decent impact. Nothing of note really. I still think Karen Angle is really cute. I’m thinking Joe will be Angle’s partner at No Surrender. One of those “How could they co-exist?” kinds of things. If Pacman is going to get the tag titles. It shouldn’t be in his first match. That would just be ridiculous. Not that those tag titles have GREAT credibility, but that would kill any that they do in fact have. See ya next week! =D
